The Moon Thief

Chapter 68: Reveal

In the eastern part of the underground building.

The bear was walking menacingly at Heinald and the others. With each step, the ground it stepped on was sinking into it and the whole area was shaking. The bear was about five meters long and 3 meters wide.

Dane started casting a spell. Elemental energy particles in the air changed and began to transform into Lightning Energy. There were lightning bolts on the bear, and then they began to fall on it.

The giant bear began to be struck by heavy lightning, one after the other.

At that time, Morena also finished a spell and corrosive gases appeared around her, and they curled up like flies towards the giant bear. As they surrounded the bear, the sound of acid poured into the flesh emerged.

However, these two attacks were not enough to break through the layer of the giant bear's body and inflict serious damage to it.

*Roooaaaaarrrr!* The bear roared furiously and started running towards them. The whole area began to shake as if there was a small-scale earthquake.

A silver light flashed and Heinald's sword appeared in his hand. He started running towards the bear, wanting to know how physically hard the layer covering him was.

The giant bear made a claw attack at Heinald, who was coming towards him.

Heinald escaped the claw attack by jumping into the air and, gathering all his strength in his arms, slashed the bear crossly.

His sword move left only two scratches on the layer covering the bear. This result caused his facial expression to turn black as it would be incredibly difficult to break through the defenses of this giant divide.

When Heinald landed, he immediately jumped back and ran backwards, aiming to find a suitable and safe position to cast a spell. Fortunately, the bear was rather slow due to its massive size or it would have been much harder for them to deal with.

Baunt began to cast a spell. An intense amount of fire energy began to emanate from him. His arms were surrounded by red flames and they began to radiate intense heat. He gathered all his strength in his legs and dashed forward.

"Take this!" Baunt shouted and slammed his two fists at the huge bear. His flaming fists applied an intense amount of physical and firepower to a single area. Part of the layer covering the giant bear was pierced and the bear was directly damaged.

In fact, no one there expected Baunt's attack to be this effective. But everyone had found it to be quite effective.

"Is the attack more effective when concentrated in one spot?" Heinald narrowed his eyes. Previously, Dane's spell cast had struck many parts of the bear with powerful lightning strikes, but they had almost no effect on the bear.

After the bear roared furiously, he stood on his two feet and quickly lowered his forearms over Baunt.

Baunt reacted quickly and jumped back, away from the bear. As the bear landed on its front legs again, the ground it had hit completely shattered and collapsed inside. The area shook violently. Pieces of stone, large and small, fell from the surrounding walls.

"Death Ray!" Heinald cried out in his heart and cast his spiritual magic. The deadly hot fire ray that came out of his hand went directly towards the bear's head and struck it. His spiritual magic was one of the best it could be at dealing damage to a single point.

At that time, Morena had created fire vines, preventing the bear from moving for a few seconds.

*Rooooaaarrrr!" The bear roared in pain, Heinald hadn't been able to do much damage to his head, but he had managed to completely burn the layer in its head area.

"Aim at its head!" Heinald shouted.

Everyone then sent damaging spells to the giant bear's head. The giant bear painfully tried to dodge the attacks, but when he could n't, he turned around and started running.

"You can't escape!" Heinald ran after the bear and jumped on it. The bear turned around to throw him off, but Heinald swiftly came to the front of the bear and thrust his sword into the bear's head. His sword pierced through the bear's skull and plunged into his brain.

The giant bear fell to the ground and died after squirming for a few seconds, black corrosive blood starting to flow from his skull.

"This is..." Heinald saw his sword, which was made of very strong steel, begin to wear down as he sank into it.

What kind of experiments had they done on this bear to make its blood so corrosive?

"What was that layer covering the bear?" Ruske took a slow breath.

"The result of one of the organization's strange experiments." Heinald replied.

Dane was about to say something, but a cough from deep in his lungs stopped him. Likewise, Morena and Ruske also started coughing. Soon they were all gasping for breath and fell to the ground, a strange liquid pouring from their mouths.

Just as Heinald was about to smile, something he realized gave him goosebumps. Baunt was eyeing him coldly; There were also traces of hatred, ridicule and anger in these eyes. He didn't make any moves, but he was watching Heinald carefully, probably waiting for him to make a move first.

"How? Didn't he consume the poison I gave him?" Heinald cried out in his mind. He had to admit that he had seen the vial of poison in his hand, but not consumed it.

"So you learned." Baunt smirked. "Otherwise it would be absurd for you to try and kill us out of nowhere."

"How did you notice?" Heinald eyed him coldly.

"I instantly saw the killing intent in his eyes as he handed me this bottle." Baunt took the vial of poison Heinald had given him from the pocket of his robes and shook it. "Besides, it would be foolish to trust you and consume what you gave me."

"How about you? How did you find out we set you up?" Baunt continued to watch Heinald carefully.

"I'm pretty good at hiding, I've listened to everything and none of you noticed it." Heinald took a deep breath and grinned.

"I'd feel your presence if you were there." Baunt frowned.

"You couldn't feel it." Heinald shrugged.

"Well, it doesn't matter... After all... You're going to die here today." A savage killing intent appeared in Baunt's gaze.

"I disagree, you will die today." Heinald chuckled lightly and shook his head.

"Even if I can't kill you, my grandma will." said Baunt.

"Maybe, but she must survive against Kroll first. Even she does, will she have enough power remain to kill me?" Heinald smiled provocatively.

Momentarily, Baunt widened his eyes as if he noticed something. Then, pure anger, hatred and killing intent appeared in his eyes. "So that was your plan all along! Even though you knew we had plans on you, you didn't run away."

"Bravo!" Heinald grinned and clapped.

"You're looking for your death!" The energy surrounding Baunt began to change. Heinald reacted quickly and jumped forward, punching him before he had finished casting the Baunt spell.

"Oughh!" Heinald's fierce fist landed on Baunt's stomach, blowing him back several meters. His face was pale and breathless as he flew through the air.

"I shouldn't give him a chance!" Heinald muttered inwardly. Although Baunt's spiritual power was stronger than Dane and the others, it was n't as much as his, but he did n't seem bothered by it.

He might have had a plan he was considering to implement, he shouldn't have let him implement this plan!

Heinald quickly started running towards him, but Baunt quickly got up from where he had fallen and cast a spell.

*Voushh!* An arc of fire came out of Baunt's hand and flew towards Heinald, growing bigger and hotter.

"Frost Wave!" Heinald cried inwardly.

The elemental energy around Heinald changed and turned into ice energy, then an ice wave appeared around him that froze everywhere.

Even though Baunt's fire arc was rather hot, Heinald's magic was more effective because of his greater spiritual strength.

Heinald quickly pulled out an Eitruis Potion and threw it at the Baunt. When the potion bottle broke, a small cloud of gas appeared in its immediate vicinity. Baunt immediately stepped away from the gas cloud and began to look around. It was clear that he wasn't expecting a potion bottle to be thrown at him, he looked confused.

"Rumbling rage!" Baunt cried out in anger and cast a spell.

Heinald felt the ground change under his feet and immediately jumped to the side. About half a second later, a wave of flame erupted upwards from where he was before. The flame wave continued to erupt non-stop for several seconds.
