The Monkey King

Chapter 11:

When the stone monkey stood on Fangcun Mountain in Lingtai, his face was full of dust and his heart was riddled with holes.

Compared with him ten years ago, he has grown a lot taller, and he looks like one meter six. By human standards, his height is short, but as a monkey, he is already a giant.

There are no unnecessary words, the high mountain, the long stone steps, the stone monkeys bowed three times and nine times, and climbed up step by step.

Go to the top of the mountain and see the Taoist temple built in the cave.

"Dongsheng Huaguo Mountain Stone Monkey in Shenzhou, please see the Patriarch Subhuti! I wish to worship the door and seek the magic!" He shouted loudly and kowtowed three times.

After a long time, the stone monkey quietly raised its head.

All around, birds squeaked and cicadas chirped, but there was no movement, and the tall scarlet gate was still tightly closed.

"Dongsheng Shenzhou Huaguo Mountain Stone Monkey, ask to see the Patriarch Subhuti! I wish to worship the door and ask for the magic!" He shouted again, kowtow heavily, the blood on his forehead was deeply imprinted on the rough stone surface, as if A plum blossom in the snow.

   Still no movement.

"Did you not hear?" Stone Monkey thought, vaguely worried.

In the Taoist Temple, a Taoist boy holding a whisk, hurried along the long mountain road into the cave, and then turned into the inner room.

   "Master, there is a monkey..."

"The teacher already knows, you should step back." The white-haired old man sat on the futon and closed his eyes to practice. After only one sentence, there was no sound.

   Daotong exited the room angrily.

The scorching sun was in the sky, a sparrow stopped to the ground, pecked the grass growing in the gap, looked up at the stone monkey, and quickly flew away.

"What's going on?" Stone Monkey wiped the sweat from his face with his hands: "Am I really coming early?"

The blood on   's forehead has coagulated, but the tall red door still hasn't moved at all.

"Could it be that the test has already begun?" Stone Monkey thought.

A cloth-robed man climbed up from the bottom of the mountain and knelt beside him: "My dear Li Qing, a native of Luoqiong in Hezhou, Xiniu, has come here for the sake of the Great Way, and I hope to worship at the door of Patriarch Subhuti, willing to be a slave, brushing the scriptures every day. !"

He didn't even knock his head.

After a while, a girl in gray with a round face and a beautiful face pushed open the red door and came out of the Taoist temple, and bowed to the man: "Master, please."

"There is a roadmaster to lead the way." The man got up and saluted.

Stone Monkey also wanted to stand up, but the girl said coldly, "Master didn't invite you."

"Huh?" Stone Monkey was stunned for a moment, and had to watch the two enter the door, the door slammed shut, and no man came out again.

After three full days, the stone monkey only felt that his eyes were hazy, and he was about to faint from hunger, and then the red door slowly opened a gap.

It was the round-faced girl again, and she crept out from the inside: "I am Patriarch Subhuti, the sitting boy."

"Hello, Senior Sister!" The stone monkey remembered to salute, but fell to the ground.

Three days later, his feet had already lost consciousness.

Along the way, for ten years, he has never slept well for a day. He thought he could rest for a few days when he went up the mountain, but he didn't expect the nightmare to end...

The girl came to the stone monkey, leaned down and whispered in the stone monkey's ear: "Master asks, are you hungry?"

   "Hungry." said the stone monkey.

   "Go back when you're hungry."

"Go back... go back?" Stone Monkey opened his mouth wide.

"Where did you come from, where did you go back."

"I... I came from Huaguo Mountain in Dongsheng Shenzhou..."

"Then go back to Huaguo Mountain in Dongsheng Shenzhou." The girl turned around and left without showing any mercy.

The stone monkey's mouth twitched violently.

"This Patriarch Subhuti... is there a mistake! Do you have any sympathy for this immortal thing! I have traveled from Huaguo Mountain to here a hundred and eight thousand miles! Damn it! You can't even see me and let me go back? You Do you know how I've traveled these 108,000 miles?" He cursed in his heart.

The girl who was about to slip in through the crack of the door suddenly straightened her waist and nodded repeatedly in affirmation.

This scene made Stone Monkey stunned for a moment.

"Is there someone standing behind that door?"

The girl turned around and squatted down in front of the stone monkey, with a hint of mockery in her eyes: "Master said that the saints have no way, and if they become immortals, they will not have sympathy, so you should go back."

"What? Can he read my mind?"

"How can it be hard to live with Master in the mere mind reading skills." The girl turned around with pride on her face.

The stone monkey quickly stretched out a hand and grabbed the girl's ankle.

"Senior Sister, Senior Sister, don't go."

"What are you doing? Go to hell! When did the master say that he would accept you, senior sister, did you call it that?" The girl raised her whisk and beat the stone monkey's head, raised her foot and stepped on the stone monkey's palm, crushing it mercilessly.

After all, he is a cultivator, and if he steps down, his strength is stronger than that of an adult.

But no matter how hard she tried, the stone monkey would not let go, just gritted her teeth and said nothing.

When she saw the blood seeping out from the palm of the stone monkey, the girl was startled and quickly shrank her feet away.

"You...what do you want to do?" The girl was about to burst into tears. After all, she was a teenager and had never seen blood before.

"Master, why didn't you accept me?" Stone Monkey asked, enduring the pain.

"Master doesn't accept it, how do I know why? You'd better go, it will save me trouble!"

"Where are you going back to?" Stone Monkey's eyes were blank, and he let go of his hand slightly.

The girl quickly took the opportunity to retract her feet, and after a few steps, she turned around and shouted, "Where are you going?"

"From where to go? From where to go?" The stone monkey whispered with a wry smile, wiped his face with his hand, and laughed wildly.

Blood stained his face, and that hideous appearance made the girl tremble for a while: "Isn't this monkey crazy?"

After saying that, he turned his head and ran, and the giant red gate slammed shut again.

"I can't go back, I can't go back." The stone monkey never dreamed that it would inexplicably stop at a place that was a step away from becoming an immortal.

"Go back? Humph. How to go back? Just go back like this, what can I use to pick up the bird..."

Can't give up, no matter what, because there is no way back.

If he does not become a fairy, he will always be a monkey, a monkey in the ordinary mountains.

Moved his body with difficulty and knelt down, he bowed his head in silence.

The sun rises, the sun sets, and three days have passed in a blink of an eye.

I heard that people can go without food for more than ten days, but they can only go without water for seven days. The stone monkey was exposed to the scorching sun, and he hadn't drank a sip of water for seven days and seven nights. He didn't know how long he could last.

After ten years of training, he is no longer the stone monkey that just went to sea, and he must be able to last longer. Is it just this time as good as before?

"Why don't you accept it? Isn't it supposed to test me? Could it be that this is also a test? Then why can others go in directly, but I can't? Because I came early? Or the gods also dislike me as a monkey?"

"Maybe, maybe as long as I faint, he will go out to save me. When I wake up, I will be inside the door." Suddenly remembering the golden carp he saw in the haze at sea ten years ago, the stone monkey carried it. Lifting his eyelids, he stared at the huge door with red eyes.

A door is separated, but it is a world of difference.

Thinking about it, the stone monkey couldn't help but smile bitterly. He was so humble that he wanted to kneel at the door and use his life for a way out.

But for the past ten years, hasn't he been like this?

   "Nothing can stop me! Nothing!"
