The long lost princess

"This... is me saving you from those poisonous priests who turned you against your own family" said Henry, pity flashing over his face, his little brother had sank deep in his deep delusions making the young king wonder if he was able to come back

"This is blasphemy, you are violating a sacred place, get these rats out of here this instance " Nicholas screamed like a raging mad man, trying to free himself from the iron grip of the soldiers...

"Tell me one thing brother.. " Henry said, his voice as calm as ever, "Did you know all along, what they have planned for all of us? the Gods i mean? " he searched in the eyes of his little brother for any sign of denial but to his disappointment, the surprised expression only confirmed his fears...

"You did... " a sad smile that didn't reach his ears disappeared as fast as it appeared before a serious expression took over his face as he turned to talk to the soldiers..

"Take him back to the castle and lock him up, asign heavy gards to watch over him day and night... " and with that he left the room with his brother curses hunting him...

"Your Grace, we have captured all the high priests in the holy tower, as well as the old scrolls and books, they are in our hands now, as well as this" the Captain gave Henry a thick old book...

"The demonic gate" murmered Henry, " This will come handy, Well done all of you, take everything back to the castle, you know what to do with the priests, they must be ready to talk by morning, Send the others to their homes and burn down this place "

"As you command" the Captain did not question the young king's words, even if he grew up believing this was the most sacred untouchable place in the world, the king told them what lies lied behind these walls, their days in worshipping the false Gods are gone, and it is time where they had to become their own Gods...

Taking down the holy tower was not as hard as everyone thought it was, it was protected by the Gods before but now that they are busy trying to massacre both humans and demons they had no energy to spare protecting this place, few soldiers infiltrated the tower discretely while most of it habitats were asleep, locking them up inside their dorms and opening the gates for the king and his one hundred men, it was a quick clean job just as Henry hoped, only if his brother was not a part of it...

Thinking that the hard night had finally ended, Henry made his way toward his courtyard to sleep of the tiredness, once he sent the servants away and locked his bedroom on himself, a soft feminine voice startled him from behind...

"I was about to leave" the woman under the white cloak talked, her back facing him while her Hazel eyes stared at the fireplace

"How did you get in? " Henry wondered in surprise, this is definitely not where nor when he expected to meet the ice queen...

"It wasn't hard, your major general helped me, he said it would be better to talk here" Rima rurned toward Henry at last, her eyes that were once red had turned into a honey like color, her hair as brown and beautiful as ever, cascading in waves to her waist, the dress she wore revealing her arms and neckline showing her perfect fair skin...

Henry wondered what was that idiot Dorian thinking sending her here, to his bedroom

"You came alone? " Henry asked, walking toward the small table in his room and offering the beautiful woman a seat

"I did" she answered simply...

"Why? aren't afraid we might hurt you" Henry said taking a seat as well

"How can i expect you to trust me if i didn't show you i trust you as well" Rima answered truthfully making the man in front of her dumbfounded, her answer was so simple and honest just like her, her face held a pure sincerity, how can this girl be a demon?

"Is something wrong? " she asked titling her head as he took a while staring at her silently, Henry was caught off guard, he cleared his throat before saying

"I was just thinking about the poor manners of my general, i should've received you in a better place and a better way, Pardon me my lady"

"Oh please don't worry yourself about it, plus according to your general, this is supposed to be the best way to keep our meeting secret without anyone questions or curiosity "

'So that is why, i'll kill him' Henry thought to himself wondering if the woman in front of him understood what did it mean for her to be in his chamber in this time of the night, shaking his head he dropped the unnecessary thoughts and decided to focus on the matter at his hands..

"How did things go on your side my lady"

"Good, but my people are worried about your people, an alliance between humans and demons had never occurred before, it is hard to trust each other "

"But here you are" Henry looked into the beautiful hazel eyes, feeling as if he was slowly drowning in them

"And here you are, we chose trust, both of us, because it is our only way to survive " Rima answered staring back to his blue eyes

"Indeed it is" Henry murmured, taking few seconds and continuing

"I have got the proof we need, tomorrow morning i will show it to the lords and kings, by tomorrow all humans will know the real enemy "

" That is not an enough reason for them to cooperate with us" stated Rima in concern

"Maybe, but at least, they will not stand in our way"

"Our way? " asked the puzzled Rima

"Even if the rest kingdoms refused to fight by yourside i will, i am your ally, my lady"

"Thank you" Rima unconsciously held his hand, sending a shiver in both of their bodies causing her to draw it back and stare to her lap, clearing her throat after few seconds, she talked again

"I believe i better send words to the other Lords, i still also want to know what would happen tomorrow "

"I can help with that, my lady" Henry said bringing up the demonic gate, "using this, you won't have to travel, atleast not yet"

"This is Eren's demonic gate" whispered Rima..

"We should inform them tomorrow of all the results, see who our allies are, all of them, in order to have a solid strategy"

"I believe you are right, i shall stay the night than"

The realisation than hit him, he can't send the girl out of his room in this our..

"Sadly my lady" Henry said, a slight blush on his face, you can't leave now, i mean the room, it will raise questions, but worry not, you can use the bed, i will sleep in my study"
