The young maid left after informing the two lords that the meeting is about to start, she received only a nod from both of them indicating her presence is no longer required, she was a pure demon from a well known family, but in the dark forest, the person's deeds spoked for him and not his family's name, these were the laws set by their young lord, that a person value and status were decided by his capabilities and productivity and not by their legacy, reorganizing the hierarchy of the realm, despite the fact that it turned her from a noble lady to a mere maid, she was glad because these same regulations made the dark forest much stronger, it was for the good of their people and realm, the only place in this world where a one had to earn his place instead of inheriting it..

After the maid left, Lord Micka asked the man standing beside him staring outside the huge window where the big metal gates were located, surrounded by the thick deep green forest, it was barely ten in the morning but it looked as if it was almost dusk

"Wasn't this Duke Peterson's daughter? she is a maid now? "

"With her 'humble' capabilities, that was the perfect place for her " Eren replied in a calm tone, of course, Andria Peterson's capabilities were not that humble, she had a particular talent in going unnoticeable by others, like a phantom that was unseen and unheard, that, added to her sharp senses, she was one of Eren's best spies, keeping an eye and ear on his so called allies and friends, she was only asked to serve as a maid lately to keep an eye on this particular weasel called Micka, who of course, didn't need to know about her real job.

"Who knew that the dark forest lord was so mean to ladies? " Micka smirked, trying to force a reaction out of the man by his side but Eren didn't give him the satisfaction, it appeared as if they were throwing a vase to each other waiting to see who would drop it first, Eren had no intentions to lose so he stayed as calm as ever, ignoring the hidden meaning of Micka's words

"Will Geraldine be joining us for the meeting? " Micka kept on asking tricky question, wanting to confirm, even by a simple face expression that the shadow he saw dancing in the corner the other night was indeed Eren's

"Of course she will be, she is one of my councilors, not to mention, my future wife" Eren stated making Micka confused for few seconds, what did Eren exactly mean by that, wasn't he having some emotions for the hybrid girl? furthermore, if Geraldine heard about this, she will definitely forget about their deal and he would lose his best chance to take down this half demon and his realm, not wanting to elaborate in the conversation anymore Eren finally said : "Let us not keep Rima and the others waiting"

"Where were you last night Henry? and you Nick? i was so worried about the both of you" Nara scolded her brothers in an almost crying tone, making the two forget their disagreements immediately and focus on their scared little sister, truth was, since the mysterious disappearing of their mother she had been restless, even if she acted strong in front of them, they heard her sob frequently when she was alone, the three of them felt suddenly like orphans, Queen Katherina was both their mother and father, it effected them all but Nara was always by her mother's side that now she felt like she was walking with a bare back, her brothers's constant fighting only made it worst for her...

"We were out looking for mother.." Henry answered with an apologetic smile, it was the case for him but not for his brother, he only heard from her now that Nicholas was out all night, having an idea where he might have been and what for, he gave his younger brother sharp discrete glares, but in order to give his sister some peace of mind, he lied saying they were together...

"Did you find anything? tell me" Nara pleaded desperately, she was already at the edges of her endurance with all the stress she was put through since the war broke, seeing Henry shake his head while a deep frown was set on his face, her eyes were about to tear before he held her shoulders...

"Little sister, i understand your pain, and i promise i will do everything i can to find our mother and bring her back home, but right now, i need you to be strong like she was, i need you to take her place, i see no one more qualified to fill that shoe and we need you now, more than ever" with his mother's absence, the diplomatic relations were not as smooth as always, nor did the economical affairs, his mother had a huge role to play in the human world and without her, it felt as if he was handicapped ...

"I won't let you down brothers" the tears were replaced with determination when Nara spoke, indicating her brothers to join the meetings room where the rest of humanity decision makers were waiting for them, the two brothers trailed behind a bit, Nicholas than asked his brother " Do you think she went to him? "

Henry stared at him for a while, deciding to drop their conflicts for now, he answered... " Yes most likely... "
