The Garrison of Warcraft

Chapter 12:Jangolode Mine

Indeed, the shredder was much easier to fix than the Harvest Golem as the structure was simpler. Soon, Old Saldean was done fixing the shredder. Since Sean had been standing by the old man's side, he understood the structure of the shredder. In fact, he had even got the chance to try operating it.

In Sean's past life, he had driven tricycles, four-wheelers, tractors, electric cars, and motorcycles. In fact, Sean had even obtained a Class C driver's license and had no trouble operating the shredder. Old Saldean and Furlbrow praised him endlessly as they watched.

Furlbrow had even expressed publicly that the shredder would be lent to Sean. Since he was in no hurry to use it, Sean could use it as long as he pleased.

Ever since he had arrived at the farm, Sean had been thinking about his main goal. He asked shamelessly, "Uncle Furlbrow, uhm… I'm currently researching Harvest Golems and I'm looking for a few broken Golem Hearts. I wonder if you have any here… Don't you worry, if my research succeeds, I'll definitely make a few Harvest Golems for you!"

Furlbrow was slightly taken aback before he patted Sean's head and laughed out loud. "Sean, I didn't know you had such a huge ambition! Alright alright alright, I'll wait for your good news! I have five broken Harvest Golems here. Since they're just laying around here, I'll give all of them to you!"

Sean cheered the instant he heard there were five units here!

In addition to the two Golem Hearts back in Saldean's Farm, Sean would have a total of 7 Golem Hearts! This meant that he was 3 Golem Hearts away from finishing the quest.

Perhaps he would be able to collect enough by visiting another farm.

Sean and Old Saldean went back home. The former drove the shredder while the latter rode his beloved horse.

By the time they returned to Saldean's Farm, it was already evening.

The three-meter tall shredder looked incredibly majestic and had attracted a lot of attention. Everyone realized that the depressed and cowardly Sean had changed. He had become confident, cheerful, and gave off a different vibe.

"Our little Sean is a grown man. Not only does he know how to fix a Harvest Golem, but he knows how to drive a shredder as well? Amazing, simply amazing!" The lady of the farm, Salma Saldean said with a cheerful look on her face.

Sean was so embarrassed that he shook his head.

The wilderness of Westfall at night was so dangerous that it was not safe to travel. Sean lay in his bed after dinner and shut his eyes.

Back when Sean was still on Earth, his career involved pipelines and construction. Hence, he had some knowledge of buildings. As he recalled his experience, he started coming up with a blueprint in his head.

What he had said earlier had not been a lie.

Naturally, the main reason Sean had borrowed the shredder was to collect Wood. However, he also really wanted to build a house for himself.

After all, Sean had too many secrets that nobody must know, making it inconvenient to continue living in Old Saldean's home. Additionally, Sean's soul had already matured and he felt rather awkward hanging out with a bunch of kids.

The trees on Azeroth were very different from those on Earth.

Due to Azeroth's unique environment, the trees would absorb the Arcane Energy that was floating in the air. After some time, not only would the quality of the wood improve, but it would also provide some form of Magic Resistance.

For example, a house made of wood that had high fire resistance would not burn down. After a huge fire, the house would still be in a near perfect state.

Westfall was incredibly near to Elwynn Forest, Duskwood, and Stranglethorn Vale. These three locations were rich in plant life. Only Westfall's wilderness was desolate and did not have a single tree. If Sean wished to find enough trees to cut down, he would have to spend a lot of effort to do so.

However, Sean had another idea that he had yet to put into action. If this idea worked, Sean's future life would be incredibly amazing.

On the second day, Sean drove the shredder to the west of Saldean's Farm, towards the infamous Jangolode Mine.

For the past few years, a group of Kobolds, under the leadership of a master digger, had occupied Jangolode Mine. They had teamed up with the Defias Brotherhood, selling minerals that were extracted to the Defias Brotherhood and also helping the Defias Brotherhood build Golems and Battleships.

The Jangolode Mine was literally a tiger's den for the citizens of Westfall. The reason Sean came here was that he wanted to test something and the reason he wanted to perform this test was that he had obtained something good for clearing the Kobold's Lair.

[Kobold War Horn (Westfall). Green Quality, Uncommon Item.]

[Effect 1: Kobold Affinity +1. Westfall Kobold Affinity +5. Spirit +1.]

[Effect 2: When the Kobold War Horn is blown, Westfall's Kobolds may be commanded.]

[Usage 10 minutes / 10 minutes. Effect lasts for 30 minutes. This old war horn is on the verge of destruction and will turn into dust after being used for more than 10 minutes. Please use it with caution.]

[A token from the ancient Kobolds and a symbol to the heroic Kobolds that fought in the war. We'll listen to your command if you blow it!]

One would not know how amazing this item was until one took a second look at it.

Sean knew that if this Kobold War Horn were to be used properly, it would be a deadly weapon at his disposal. It will certainly play a huge role if used at a critical moment.

The purpose of Sean's visit that day was to personally test if this horn would be of any use at all.

The Kobolds liked the darkness and feared the sun. As the sun was shining brightly in the middle of the sky, they were currently hiding inside the mine. Only two or three of them would be stationed outside as sentries. These were Sean's targets.

Sean cautiously approached closer. When he was no more than 20 meters away from Jangolode Mine, he intentionally made some noise and hid behind a huge boulder.

"@¥%%**(*%¥#¥@!"

The sound had obviously alerted the three Kobolds. They, with their inferior intelligence, did not leave someone to stand guard. Instead, all three of them, with their candles, approached Sean.

Sean waited for the three of them to get close before revealing himself and blowing the Kobold War Horn.

Sean used only a minute amount of his strength and, as a result, the sound was incredibly weak.

The deep sound traveled no more than 20 meters away from Jangolode Mine. Only the three Kobolds could hear the sound of the war horn.

Sean did not know what kind of magic was contained in the war horn, whether it was the frequency being different or it had some sort of unique sound. Regardless, the instant the war horn was blown, the three Kobolds were instantly tricked by Sean… Wait no, the Kobolds were instantly tricked by the war horn.

All of a sudden, it was as if the three Kobolds had seen their almighty, glorious, and intelligent leader. He was the great herald of war that only appeared in old legends. He was the greatest existence, an immortal legend, and now, he had appeared before them.

One should not question how they knew he was the great herald of war. He just was!

They could feel the blood in their bodies boiling, as if water was being boiled inside of a pressure cooker at 120°C. It was an incredibly exciting and powerful strength that filled them with the urge to fight.

The Kobolds screamed and sang ancient war songs in their native tongue.

They were so excited that they turned blood-red. Their bodies trembled and their throats were on fire.
