[An Optional Quest has been added: Help Sylvia evolve]

[Reward: 10 Skill Points]

These two notifications appeared right in front of Zeke as his party faced two predicaments. One is the current state of Sylvia while, the other is how the crystal began glowing a bright red. This created a pillar of light which reached up to the sky and, after it vanished, the first opponent appeared before them.

[Name: None]

[Species: Turtle]

[Specification: Carnivorous Turtle]

[Rank: D+]

Zeke would've loved fighting with it but, the quests prevented him from dealing with the creature at the moment. The monster towered larger than the trees within the forest. Its whole body is covered in sturdier materials than the ones collected and crafted by Zeke. It moved slowly as if to measure its surroundings and, Zeke knew that this is the only time they could escape.

"Everyone, grab your [Portal Scroll], we're retreating!" Zeke commanded, thinking about the current state of Sylvia as she began getting surrounded by an immense amount of mana.

Everyone stayed back as, this also damaged those who tried getting near her. Thus, it's up to Zeke and his [Gamer's Body] to carry her home.

The mana covering Sylvia are like blades that tore through Zeke's flesh but, every time they did, his [Regeneration] and [Endurance] just healed through it.

At this, everyone did as Zeke instructed and teleported back to the cabin. This is just in time as the turtle finally recognized their presence.

"We've got a situation." Zeke said as soon as they arrived. Yaeger saw the female elf held by Zeke and she quickly understood what is happening.

"Bring her this way." Yaeger said, opening the door to her room. Everyone wanted to follow but, they knew nothing of the situation Sylvia is currently facing. And so, they left things to the hands of Yaeger and Zeke.

"I expected this much to happen." Yaeger said as Zeke placed Sylvia on a pool looking area created by the goddess. As soon as he did, the water pulled Sylvia in, surprising Zeke. He would've taken the elf out if it wasn't for Yaeger who stopped him.

"Won't she suffocate in that?" Zeke said, seeing the female elf completely immerse within the liquid that turned blue. The liquid then started gurgling as Sylvia had a pained expression on her face.

"It won't." Yaeger replied, following through with an explanation of what the substance is.

Apparently, the thing is like an incubator. The process Sylvia is currently undergoing is similar to a baby being formed in the womb. The pool serves to keep Sylvia within the natural conditions that would ease the burden of evolving.

"That's nothing like how Lupus and Erio evolved." Zeke thought to himself, remembering how his Conjures didn't undergo such a painful looking process to change.

"The only problem is how she'll regulate the mana that keeps overflowing right now. Although what I provided helps, it's ultimately up to her if she can handle it or not." Yaeger said and, Zeke got an idea from this.

"So what if there's something regulating the mana for her?" Zeke asked.

"Well that'd be convenient now wouldn't it?" The goddess replied, approving of the idea but knowing no such device nearby which could do this.

"I'll show you something interesting then." Zeke said to the goddess as he went through his inventory.

Along with the fighting they did the whole day, Zeke tried if his Conjures can pick up the loot drops for him. This succeeded, making the [Winged Monkeys] his errand monsters. This resulted in him having a large number of various items and materials including [Golem Core x10].

He placed two of this item within the crafting option. Among the options for the outcome, he chose the [Refined Golem Core]. And then, he immediately began crafting; succeeding upon the first attempts.

He performed this over and over again until all the [Golem Cores] have been depleted. This left him with a new item which is [Advanced Mana Core]. Zeke then took various other materials, finding the best combination in order to make a staff.

He needed items that could store a large amount of mana and, take out excess mana without backfiring in any way. Yaeger watched the whole thing, gaining more and more interest in the favored mortal of the major deities.

"For a human, you sure do know a lot of things." Yaeger said, not getting any reply from Zeke who is too immersed in the process of crafting.

These notifications came up continuously. Zeke didn't relent and made the progress go on and on. Sweat started forming from all the details that went through his head in order to create the weapon and, he stopped for a while to add some necessary things.

He opened the [Skill Shop] buying the [Lucky Gambler] passive. This skill allowed all the functions that are based on percentage to raise the chances of success by [5%]. A number that is good for a skill at its base level. Strengthening his chances even further is the [Craftsman] skill which he already owns - making his chances of success rise by [5%].

"There's something else." Zeke said, getting out of the room in a hurry; with Yaeger wondering what's going through Zeke's head.

"How's our sister?" Allesiah asked but, Zeke didn't reply and just took her staff from her. He then came back inside the room and as he did, he continued where he left off.

Zeke created a new staff with the [Advanced Mana Core] as a main component, placed together with a staff that could regulated and control mana flow. Zeke then placed this item on one side of the crafting option and placed Allesiah's staff on the other part of the crafting. Then, he pressed the [Begin Crafting] option. The cogwheels displayed started turning, with fumes and smoke coming out as the cogwheels turned faster and faster.

Zeke gripped his hands as he watched this. Failure is not an option because he doesn't have enough materials to replicate the operation. And, as the Crafting began slowing down, Zeke's heart almost skipped a beat. Then, time seemed to stay still for a second as the notification came out.

[Crafting Succeeded]

The weapon came to Zeke's hands and, his [Analysis] did its thing – inspecting the newly made weapon for him.

He placed the staff within the pool. Lying it beside the sleeping Sylvia. Soon after, the gurgling of the water stopped and Sylvia's expression calmed down. The staff did its magic, ensuring that Sylvia will be able to survive the evolution process.

"You. How on earth were you able to do that?" Yaeger said, surprised at the result of Zeke's crafting.

"I don't know what you mean." Zeke began.

"All I did was craft a weapon." He finished.

This made the goddess below in laughter. It is the first time she has ever heard of a chosen mortal crafting a weapon that could cause calamity. Instead of wishing one from the gods or getting it as a reward, the mortal created one for himself. And not only this, it's not even his own weapon, but a weapon for another person.

"So are you seeing anyone?" The goddess said, making Zeke furrow his eyebrows.

"No thanks, I don't plan on having that kind of relationship with a goddess." He said, making the goddess laugh even more.

"You are really something else. No wonder those three chose you, I've never seen a chosen mortal who is as capable as you are." She said.

"I don't know where you're going with this. But, thanks I guess?" Zeke replied.

The goddess then gave him a look of approval. In fact, she liked Zeke so much that, she now intends to give the mortal an extra present once the mission is done and dealt with.

At this, the two of them came out of the room. They updated the elves who have been worrying; explaining the whole situation Sylvia is currently experiencing. Zeke also apologized to Allesiah who lost her staff and promised to make her a new one.

"It's fine, in the first place it was a gift from you so I don't have the right to get angry." Allesiah replied, feeling relieved in the fact that, her staff was able to help out in the situation. At this, Zeke took out a Portal Scroll which confused everyone in the cabin except for the goddess.

"Oh my. Are you going where I think you are?" Yaeger said with a smile on her face. Zeke confirmed this by informing everyone.

"I'm going to deal with the first boss."
