Chapter 40:Striking A Deal With The Devil

As all the other fights came to an end, Allesiah is also about to finish taking down the enemies on the castle. She freed her sister Sylph first and, as the two of them continued ascending the castle, no guard or soldier stood a chance.

Actually, Allesiah didn't even need her sister's help as she is already doing smoothly on her own. The training she underwent in the forest is paying off as she continues seeing something unusual as she fights her opponents.

"Don't let her come any nearer!" The mage leader said, making five of his underlings create large fire spells.

Allesiah pointed her hand on the spell, seeing the flow of mana that is moving around it. The image she sees is still faint but, it's enough for her to make alterations to their spells. This is the unusual thing she now sees. With her training and, with the staff that could manipulate mana, she can now see the flow of mana that is all over the place.

"Explode." She said, bursting her enemy's fire spells which she followed up by shooting her [Shadow Spheres].

With the help of the staff, she can now manipulate 6 [Shadow Spheres] simultaneously. The additional number of spheres also came as a payout as her level rose faster than it ever did. This is all thanks to Zeke of course and all the fights he took Allesiah with.

The adrenaline rushed throughout Allesiah's body and, she didn't even notice it but, she already went faster than Sylph. She took down all the enemies that came along the way freezing the hands of archers, striking an accurate bolt of lightning toward melee soldiers and, jamming all the spells of enemy sorcerers.

"Does she even need my assistance?" Sylph asked herself as there are no more enemies for her to fight.

Soon enough, the sisters reached the top of the Castle. With Allesiah leaving havoc and destruction on her trail.

"It's over?" Allesiah said, feeling a bit disappointed that she can't go all out.

Sylph soon came up, not even breaking a sweat from the lack of opponents. The two of them then opened the door to find Sylvia sitting on the side of a bed. The eldest Windsprite got shocked upon seeing her sisters and proceeded to hugging them as they ran towards her.

"I've missed you guys do much." Sylvia said as the three of them allowed tears to flow down their cheeks. There wasn't any explanation needed, nor any hateful speech. They allowed their actions to do the talking and took the moment in.

On the other side of the battlefield, Zeke is still with Glade – surrounding the traitorous elf with his five conjured monsters. As he did, a bunch of notifications popped up.

[The Sub Quest – Reunite the Windsprite Siblings has been cleared!]

[10 Skill points are given as a reward.]

[You finished a hidden quest – Titan Slayer]

[This is attained through killing an opponent who's rank or level outclasses your own by more than 50%]

[The skill - Titan Slayer is given as a reward.]

"I've got no time for this right now." Zeke said to himself, hiding the other notifications and going back to the enemy in front of him.

"So here's the deal, if you kill me now, then Gallio will come looking for you. But if I tell him that you died, you can leave in peace." Glade bargained.

"What makes you think that I can't beat him?" Zeke answered, not taking his eyes off of his opponent.

"Okay first of all, the only reason you were able to beat the General is because I took most of the fighting head on. If I wasn't there to keep him in check, he could've easily escaped your poison." Glade said.

"And what's the point to your argument?" Zeke continued, making Cull stretch his bow in order to strike.

"Fine, let's make it clear then." Glade continued. As he said this, Zeke felt cold steel come up to his neck.

Glade appeared behind him, creating a double without Zeke even noticing. The one being surrounded by his generals dissolved like a mist.

"You aren't even a match for me." Glade continued.

"Okay. What do you want then?" Zeke answered, taking down his summons.

There is one thing that he is sure of now. That is – whatever Glade is planning, it didn't' involve his death. If Glade could perform a skill such as this, then the elf would've just done it right after the battle with Erio ended. Plus, Glade could've just easily killed him without the threats.

"You know what I like about you Zeke? You're not the same as every other human I've encountered. That alone is enough of a reason for me to let you live." Glade said, taking down his sword as he sat on top of Erio's corpse – playing with the sword which is stuck to the Generals' back.

"Gallio will come back here any minute now. He loves torturing his opponents but he gets easily bored at it." Glade continued.

"I'm guessing you want me to go before he arrives." Zeke said, getting a hint on where things are headed.

"Ding! Ding! Correct! But that's not all. I want you to help me in the plot I'm scheming." Glade said, staring blankly at the sky before continuing.

"You see, I want to murder everyone in my household and all our supporters."

The words left Zeke in a s state of disbelief. He knew that this is also a possibility but, the chances of Glade wanting something like this is so low that Zeke brushed the idea aside.

"Oh and don't worry. I know just how we can reach an agreement to this." Glade said, snapping his fingers and creating a sheet of paper that is left blank.

Zeke's [Analysis] worked its magic and revealed that the paper is a contract. One that, after getting filled, binds the two parties and making all the rules and conditions set irrevocable.

"In here, we will discuss all the things that will happen after this incident. You can't betray me at this point because if you do, I'll just kill you off. Oh and by the way, the contact is life binding so, going against any of it will have either of us killed." Glade continued.

"Right." Zeke replied, knowing that Glade's words hold true. He has no choice but to follow Glade.

"But! We'll make this deal as fair as possible. That's why, I'll let you decide on three rules while I decide on five."

At this Zeke smiled. The situation might be unfavorable for him but, if he has a hold on three rules that are to be set then, he can ensure his survivability and also, the highest rewards which could be gained.

"Let's alternate. I'll add two and then you add one. Then I'll add another two and while you add one more. Then, we both add a last rule. Only one condition can be made per rule so no sub clauses can be added."

"Agreed. Zeke said."

At this, the contract began getting filled by the following rules.

"1. Zeke Elwood must eliminate the Leonis household and all its followers except for Glade."

"2. The contract must be fulfilled within a year."

The first two conditions are favorable to Zeke, making him have a wide smile on his face as he gave his first part on this contract.

"3. Nothing outside the mission may be included by Glade Leonis in this contract."

The contract removes a lot of things from Glade. One is the inclusion of tasks that may be of a great disadvantage to Zeke as, Glade may add conditions that do not concern the primary goal. The second is, it removes Glade's freedom in adding another condition as he will be forced to add a rule which would have the same effect toward Zeke. That's why Zeke only stated Glade's name in the rule.

Glade smiled at this, already letting go of the other things that he wanted to ask form the human. 'I'll have fun playing with you.' Were the words running through Glade's head as he gave out his next conditions.

"4. Nothing outside the mission may be included by Zeke Elwood in this contract."

"5. No reward will be given to Zeke Elwood once the contract is over."

"6. Should Zeke Elwood die while on the mission, a person whom Zeke will entrust everything to shall claim a fair compensation."

"7. No harm will come to Glade Leonis which is done or acted upon by the other party."

"8. Upon completing the request, Zeke and his chosen subordinates will be transported to a place that is dangerous and unknown to everyone."

"That last one is a bit surprising." Glade said as the information is filled. A contract mark then appeared on the wrist of both men, sealing the deal.

"It doesn't concern you." Zeke answered, moving towards the corpse of General Erio.

"Are you going to perform that thing you did with the Wood Scouts and the Shadow Wolves?" Glade asked.

Zeke didn't answer and proceeded to conjuring Erio. The flame containing the general glowed until it became a crimson red. The flame crackled as if wanting to devour everything around it. Zeke stopped it at this point.

"Looks like you failed." Glade said.

"Shut up." Zeke replied.

He then performed the skill again. Gaining the same feeling but, holding on to the flame nonetheless. At this point, even Glade can see the flame and even hear the cries and agonies of all the opponents which the General destroyed.

"You will heed my call!" Zeke shouted, commanding the flame that tried its best to break free from him. The flame grew even larger but Zeke kept it going. Stronger and stronger until the flame exploded.

A strong wind came as a result and, out of the flame came the General.
