The Gamer's System

Chapter 219: Improving Strategies

The next meeting came in a flash, with Zeke already in front as always. He had a lot of empty plate on his area as a whole tray was being carried by Heron and Morpheus. The elites arrived one by one to witness how quickly Zeke gobbled down food, surprising even Amare who thought that nobody could beat her when it came to speed eating.

"He's the god of eating." She exclaimed, thinking that Zeke had this hidden title which was never discovered on earth.

Zeke was actually timing the entrance of the members. With [Gamer's Mind], he masterfully estimated the amount of time required before ethe meeting began and, this was what he followed as he continued munching down food.

The gamer was hungry after all. With all the thinking that he was doing and all the tests he needed to do, the gamer needed some decent and well-deserved meal. Something which he didn't deprive himself of. This was also the reason why he made his own food source under the cave. To ensure that the food he wanted was always available. Getting this trait from the goddess of the hunt, Yaeger, who was also a glutton when it came to food.

"Okay shall we begin?" Zeke said as every member was finally in the room, just in time for him to finish his meal.

Some elites like Curio and Jake were still blankly staring at Zeke. Amazed at the spectacle they just beheld moments ago. None of that seemed to be true now however as Zeke's mind was only focused on the things they needed to tackle.

"Well begin with your synchronization with your living armor and your new equipment." Zeke said as he generated [System Windows] for everyone to use. Within it were the statistics that Zeke generated based on the three days he gave to the elites in order to get accustomed with their new set of equipment.

"As you can see, the numbers are really great on all of you. Despite the fact that each of you have a certain specialty, the other attributes aren't falling behind that much due to the effects of the armor." Zeke mentioned with pride because, it took him half a year's worth of time within his subconscious to forge the said set of items and equipment. Making these even for some of his most powerful [Conjures].

"Let's not mention names on who is the strongest but, I assure you that, you have all grown beyond my expectations during the month of training you underwent. Your ability to adapt has also risen exponentially which makes the upcoming fights both bearable and less dangerous." Everyone had a smile on their face at this point. Then, a crystal lit up in the room.

"How about the power level of the monsters and their set of skills. Do you have a way to record all of that mister Zeke?" Amare asked this not to challenge Zeke but to get as much information as she could. She is, after all, a tactician. As such, she relied heavily on the data provided by Zeke.

"I'm glad that you asked that because I was just about to go over that detail." Zeke said as he opened a screen in the middle of the table, showing al the monsters they've encountered thus far Including, of course, the ones which Zeke faced when he tried out the [Empty Chaos Crystal].

"As for the monsters, we all know that there are at least four type of them out there. Their powers are based on the number of horns they possess, with the four horns being the strongest right now." Another crystal lit up.

"You seem to be implying that there are stronger monsters Mister Zeke."

"Well of course there are. We've only explored the red areas Kaguya. There are still two places of higher difficulty that we have yet to explore." Zeke said, pointing at the light black and the dark black areas within Helios.

"Anyway, I'll something about the conditions of clearing the red areas." Zeke furthered, finally moving to the part which Allesiah helped him out in figuring.

Zeke explained every detail to the elites as carefully and as elaborately as he could. The elites were, of course, amazed once again with how deep Zeke's understanding of things were. If it was just them, then they would have tired themselves out in the endless battling of the monsters but, because of Zeke, they were able to learn about the specific nature of the monsters they faced.

"I was also wondering why my [Conjure] trait didn't work on these monsters. This gave me the answer I needed because, it means that the [Chaos Monsters] are somewhat on the level of only being animated. And because of their trait, [Chaos Energy] only increases the more we defeat them." Zeke mentioned, immediately getting a question as another crystal lit up.

"So how are we supposed to defeat them exactly? I mean doesn't that put us at a checkmate if we can't defeat them?" Merlin asked.

"Not necessarily because, I've already developed an item to get us through the predicament." Zeke snapped his fingers, with a pendant appearing in front of everyone in the room.

The items were already improved by Zeke of course. As soon as he came back he went straight for his room. Making sure that the [Crystal] was handy as possible because, holding them in one's hand didn't seem to be very practical and, the easiest version he thought of was in the form of pendants. One which was easy enough to forge and thus, he was able to create enough before their meeting began.

"You will continue the same mission and each of you will be give one of those pendants. They can absorb the said [Chaos Energy] which is an automatic function installed within them." Zeke watched as the elites looked at the item while some already tried them on.

"I've already measured out the capacity of those things and, they should be able to hold out until you clear the red zones by yourselves." Zeke mentioned as everyone in the room nodded in agreement.

"The higher ups will be in charge of destroying the black areas. The lighter ones of course and not the darkest ones. They would be given two pendants instead of just one which, I believe, should be enough for the amount of [Chaos Energy] that could be encountered on those areas.

"So you mean we can handle until the four horns?" Amare asked after lighting up her crystal.

"Not necessarily. You can leave those creatures out for when you've already destroyed every other monster on your area. I'll be deploying a single [Knight Conjure] for each of you and, for our dear healers and enhancer, I'll provide you with even more troops. So don't worry about a thing. I know that you'd be able to handle them on your own." Zeke said, with confidence in his voice that couldn't be mistaken. It was firm, clear, without any sign of wavering in his tone.

"While you're at it I will be scouting the other continents. I'm guessing that both our targets are not within this continent anymore so while you're busy clearing out the areas, I'll be focusing on finding our targets."

"Wait. wouldn't that cancel out the [Conjures] that you'd provide for us?" Amare asked, thinking about the range of Zeke's [Conjure] skill. But Zeke only smiled, already able to cook something up for the predicament.

"Don't worry. I have that covered." He simply said as another question came up.

"Wouldn't it be more practical for your [Conjures] to be deployed in the missions instead of us? You can just place the crystal on them or something and make them fight while we focus on the searching." Merlin stated which was actually a decent idea.

"I actually thought of that already except that there are two problems. The first is that, my [Conjures] can't hold on to the item. The [Empty Chaos Crystals] seem to like the nature of mana within the conjure so. whenever they touch those things they get absorbed. I know this because I've already tried."

"What about the other thing you were referring to?"

"Oh that's with regard to the scouting itself. Since I can summon my [Conjures] over the whole continent, searching would be much easier as I only need a couple of them and I'll continue summoning them over multiple places until I get some leads."

Allesiah smiled at this, thinking how capable Zeke was. Everyone relied on him and had total faith in his capabilities. Just like how Allesiah had ever since she started coming along his adventures.

"I know that you guys want to find Quinn as soon as possible but understand that, you also have an obligation to the citizens of this world. It would be selfish of us to single out saving Quinn without any proper justification. I will not tolerate that and I never will." Zeke mentioned with the other elites agreeing with him.

With this, the meeting finally ended. Everyone prepared for the fight that was to come the next day. Zeke needed them to wait a while longer because, he was still preparing the method on how he could extend the range of his [Conjures]. The concept was already complete of course. He only needed to craft the necessary items and to buy the necessary skills.

As he did this, there was only a single thought that constantly came at the top of his head. How he was excited to meet the silhouetted figure once again and, at that instance, show that he was already superior.
