Chapter 21:Seeing Double

A whole group of blue colored goblins suddenly came to the scene. Zeke has distributed various items to these monsters, making them even stronger. The bandits were once again surprised but, as an official shouted 'Charge!' everything began moving again.

"You better start moving before they kill you off." Zeke told Allesiah whom Samael has dropped to the ground.

Soon after, arrows came flying toward Zeke. Samael's shield came and covered its master.

"You can play with the bandits that are coming in." Zeke told his Knight, making its eyes gleam yellow again as it leapt out of the scene. Rushing toward the incoming wave of bandits.

"You guys help that elf out." He told the goblins who started picking a fight with the bandits.

"Allesiah you'll also stay here." He said, picking up two scimitars from the dead bandits.

"What about you?" Allesiah asked.

"I'm just going to play with their bosses." He said, kicking the ground and opening the underground entrance.

"Don't die on me." He said to the sorceress, jumping in and making some goblins block the bandits who tried to stop Zeke.

Upon entering the area, Zeke saw a ladder that lead to the surface. He wondered how two bandits came at the same time when the female elf was captured but, he let this question float in his head for now.

His entrance is met by two bandits who seem to be the guards of the area. He swiftly ended the life of one bandit as he stabbed through its chest, leaving one of the scimitars there. Then, he made a quick motion which the other bandit wasn't able to follow though. Soon enough, he's already at the back of his enemy. He then slit this opponent's throat. Leaving both bandits dead at the scene.

The place itself is huge. At Zeke's map, every area of this place is already seen, with labels on various areas. This includes traps, prisons, treasures, and where the bosses are residing. His only problem is that the place is filled with explosives. This ensures that, if the bandits get ambushed or killed, their treasures will still be safely buried underneath the ground.

"I need to be careful about this." Zeke thought to himself, putting on his bandit costume and heading inside.

As he walked along, he encountered multiple routes. He first went to the place where all the weapons are being held. He saw multiple bandits running out of this route, probably going to the surface to help out.

"I don't think so." Zeke said, activating [Quick Step] twice and, beheading all these opponents in the process. He can't risk having them shout for help so he needs to attack them in the most efficient way possible.

"Oi move a bit faster! We have intruders that need to be taken care of!" A bandit said as soon as Zeke went through the door of the weapon storage room. As the bandit kept nagging, Zeke suddenly disappeared from his sight, leaving a scimitar sticking though his throat.

"Perfect." Zeke said as he viewed all the blue flames that have now sprung from the corpses of the slain bandits.

"Conjure." At this all the flames turned into bandits, giving him a total of 10 new monsters to use. He then left these monsters at the weapon storage, knowing that more bandits will come inside.

"Kill every bandit that comes through that door." Zeke ordered as all the conjured bandits went inside. Soon after, the door opened again and, Zeke immediately planted his fist to this bandit's gut. He then threw the poor victim inside, hearing the person scream as Zeke made his way to another route inside the lair.

Zeke repeated the process various times. Leaving conjured monsters at every part of the lair as he ran deeper. Soon enough, he reached the area where the captives are being held, thinking that the elf would also be there, but he found something else entirely.

"So this is where you guys went." He said as he finished off all the bandits guarding the prison.

"Am I seeing right?"

"It's the newbie!"

"We're saved!"

Inside the cells are the three missing members of Allesiah's former group. All of them look battered and beaten up and, are now completely naked, with ropes tying them up.

"What makes you think I'll save you?" He replied, thinking how these three abandoned him even though he's the one who fought in the frontlines of the [Secret Dungeon].

"Please! We'll offer you anything!" Marin said, with tears coming out of his eyes.

At this, Zeke formed a menacing smile on his face. If there is one thing that he cannot tolerate, it's backstabbing people. He knows that these three will just run off when danger comes and, would not think twice of betraying him once they get a chance.

"Anything huh." He continued, opening the cell and coming for the captured adventurers.

"The quest only mentioned that I need to find you three." He said out loud, swinging his scimitar.

"W-what are you planning?" Marin said, in a state of fear.

"C-come on man, that's not a good joke." One of the twin archers continued.

"You said, you'd do anything right?" Zeke said.

"Then die for me." He swiftly ended the lives of these three adventurers. Slicing through their necks and giving them a swift death. At this, their blue flames came out.

"I'll have better use of you guys as Conjured monsters." Zeke said, raising the three from the dead. As he did, the three appeared stark naked but he didn't focus on this, he focused on their status after getting conjured.

"Just as I thought." Zeke said to himself.

There are two things that changed with the conjured versions of the three adventurers that he killed. One is that, their species have changed to being conjured humans and, the title [Conjured] changed their classification from humans, into monsters. This can be seen with how they are now classified with ranks instead of levels.

"For now, I'll hide you guys." Zeke said, as he went on to his next destination which is the place where all the loot is being kept. This area sits right next to where the three bandit leaders are staying.

If you ask why they aren't coming out to fight that's because, the years of collecting loot have made them greedy and possessive. They want to make sure that all the loot is safe while their men risk their lives to fight. But this also means that they may possibly be at the loot area. Something which Zeke is also prepared for.

He wore his costume again, blending in so that the bandits will not panic. The explosives kept him from going all out. Although he wanted to just go berserker crazy on all of them, he can't because, Allesiah and the two elves would probably get killed in the explosion.

"Hey what are you doing here!" A figure came close to Zeke. This enemy was about to go inside the loot area. Zeke's [Analyze] activated, showing the details on the opponent in front of him.

[Name: Al-Kuz Al-Haddar]

[Species: Human]

{Specification: Bandit Leader]

[Level: 30]

"This guy's going to be troublesome." Zeke thought to himself, seeing the level of his enemy being higher than his own.

However, he didn't falter. His mind already coursed through the various methods of how he can win the fight most efficiently. He did this while also starting a conversation with the bandit leader.

"I was told to secure the loot sir!" Zeke replied, making the leader come closer.

"Oh? Then please be my guest." The bandit leader said, turning around and walking away.

Zeke was about to go inside when a large figure suddenly came at his back. He used [Quick Step], being able to dodge but, still getting his clothes torn, with a small slice being made. The green smoke came from the cut, making him feel a surge of pain before his regeneration closed the wound.

"Next time you lie, make sure that you've got a better excuse." The leader said, making more footsteps come toward them.

"You see, I'm the one in charge of the men who guard the loot. And I sure as hell didn't order anyone to do that." He continued, rushing toward Zeke.

He got up but then, started seeing double. Making it difficult for him to block the attack or even dodge. With this, he stepped back. But the move was made a bit too late as another slash found its way to Zeke's stomach. This time being deeper than the first cut.

"I see that my poison is kicking in." As his enemy spoke, Zeke saw three copies of the bandit leader instead of just two.

"You see, adventurers can heal all sorts of wound but, my poison doesn't actually do damage to you guys. It enters your bloodstream and, as soon as it creeps up to your brain, you start seeing multiple versions of me." He explained, kicking Zeke in the stomach which opened up the wound that was just about to close.

"A lot of you has regeneration but, adventurers who focus on cleanse spells aren't that many. Why is that? Because only high-level monsters can cause this kind of debuff. Lucky for you, my sword here is made from an ancient demon and, let me tell you, it's got enough poison to last a lifetime."

"You talk too much." Zeke said as he stood up with his wound completely healed. The enemy in front of him is still three but, he already thought of a way to deal with this person. He dashed away using [Quick Step] and said:

"Conjure."
