The Elemental Tower

Chapter 2:Red Dragon Queen

The Werewolf kept sniffing as it sensed a foreign life here.

The scent was incredibly familiar. It was the putrid scent of those d*mned humans from outside the forest.

Had a human really entered this forest?

The Werewolf was enraged when he realized the situation. In exchange for its intelligence, its sense of smell must have degenerated quite a bit, as it was unable to accurately locate the enemy's whereabouts.

However, It did not matter. The Werewolf raised its head and looked at its surroundings. The stones and wood that did not fit the surrounding had attracted the Werewolf's attention.

The humidity of the air was due to the distant river. The wind blew gently as it spread out the scent of the unknown human everywhere. Although the Werewolf picked up the elusive scent, he was worried that the enemy had already left.

Thud thud thud… The Werewolf walked about without making any sound at all. It then got down on all fours, as if it was an actual wolf, and walked towards the targeted area.

As the Werewolf walked forward, the scent of the human grew stronger. This made it more confident in its guess.

There must be a human hiding behind the pile of stones and wood.

"Is it just one human or are there multiple?"

The Werewolf felt his saliva dripping down uncontrollably. It was excited to once again have such an amazing meal.

A weak and delicious race that had to pitifully rely on their numbers. The Werewolf's muscles tightened as it arrived at the pile of stones and wood.

It would be able to see the fearful expression when it went to the other side. Its eyes turned red as it howled angrily. It leaped a few feet into the air, preparing to capture its prey.

However, just as the Werewolf leaped, it was shocked to see that a youngster was staring behind… it?

'Is there something behind me?'

As the Werewolf was lost in thought, a familiar figure entered its sight. It was a body that was completely covered in wolf's fur. However, where had its head gone?

Soon, the Werewolf fell into eternal darkness.

A pair of bright red heels appeared beside the Werewolf's corpse. The person then used a red-gold shining longsword that spewed out a scorching hot fire to burn the Werewolf's corpse and head to ash.

"The Red Dragon Queen Dra and Red Lotus Longsword."

Lin Ke muttered from the distance as he looked at the female warrior standing beside the Werewolf's corpse. She waved her longsword while cleaning up the ash. Lin Ke then took a deep breath.

This was the most straightforward help Lin Ke could have from his Starter Pack.

The rewards were one Dark-gold Grade Hero and one Legendary Grade weapon.

In Goddess Continent, players were able to discern the Heroes' capabilities based on the color.

The lowest Grade was white whereas the highest Grade was rainbow. These Grades would determine the Heroes' ranking.

The Dark-gold Grade could be said to be an above-average quality, one that could be played indefinitely as an ultimate Hero. This was also one of the benefits of buying a Starter Pack.

Although the Dark-gold Grade Heroes obtained from the Starter Pack were slightly weaker than those rare Heroes of the same Grade that could only be obtained by pouring in a huge amount of money, the difference was insignificant. As long as one did not have an obsessive-compulsive disorder, this Hero could still be brought alongside him.

This was one of the reasons why the guides stated that it was a must to buy the Starter Pack. Having a Dark-gold Grade Hero was a huge advantage during the player's early development.

One could even say that buying the Starter Pack was just to obtain this female Dark-gold Grade Hero.

Other than that, there was also the Legendary Grade weapon. This was also the only Legendary Grade weapon that could be used at such a low level. The other Legendary Grade weapons would require players to reach a certain amount of progress and rely on other activities to be able to use it.

Naturally, if the player's VIP Level was high enough, the player would obtain a set of Legendary Grade Equipment. However, as a Starter Packer, these rewards were a dream one could only hope for.

Meanwhile, the Starter Pack's Hero, Red Dragon Queen Dra, was holding onto the Legendary Grade weapon. In other words, Dra was able to chop off the Werewolf's head with ease while it leaped in the air.

"Beautiful."

Lin Ke could not help but mutter as he watched the female warrior that was striding towards him.

She was indeed a Dark-gold Grade Hero. The Red Dragon Queen Dra was an incredibly beautiful woman.

Dra was in her beautiful fiery-red armor which covered more than half of her skin, revealing her almost snow-white skin. Lin Ke's eyes brightened up as the sun's rays managed to penetrate through the forest and land onto her skin.

What shocked Lin Ke the most was Dra's extremely beautiful face. It would not be a stretch to call her a goddess.

"Thank you for your praise!"

Red Dragon Queen Dra revealed an incredibly beautiful smile when she heard Lin Ke's compliment. She stood in front of him and lowered her body as she made a weird courtesy. "I heed your summons and have arrived, my master!"

Lin Ke was at a loss. This was the first time that such a beautiful girl was so close to him.

He looked at the Red Dragon Queen Dra's bright red hair on the back of her head as she lowered it. He could not help but touch her hair.

Both of them were stunned the instant they made contact.

"I'm sorry. I…" Lin Ke stuttered as he apologized. He was still in disbelief that such a beautiful female warrior had been summoned before him.

"There's no need to apologize for your actions." Red Dragon Queen Dra stood back up. She had a stern yet enraged vibe around her. "Your thoughts are wisdom. I'll be your sword to destroy all of your hated enemies!

"For Kassandra!"

Truth be told, Lin Ke was quite anxious when Red Dragon Queen Dra stared at him. Only a few words got through him but he still understood the whole picture.

This female warrior had significant loyalty towards him… Perhaps.

Since Lin Ke grew up in China, all of this was naturally extremely new to him. Just as he was about to open his mouth to ask what Kassandra was, Red Dragon Queen Dra turned around swiftly and looked at the forest behind her.

"Please wait for a moment. I need to clean up the area first."

Just as the Red Dragon Queen Dra finished speaking, she picked up the Legendary Grade longsword, which was as long as a human, and charged into the shadowy forest. What came afterward were multiple deep cries.

"Ah…"

It was only then that Lin Ke's voice came out of his throat. However, the situation was as clear as day and he shook his head wryly without anyone to confide in.

Within such a short time too many things had happened, one after the other. However, because he was alone and in danger earlier, he managed to mentally prepare himself to ensure he would be able to survive in this place.

However, he knew he was safe the instant the Red Dragon Queen appeared. Fatigue started creeping up on him and he felt incredibly tired. He was so exhausted that he instinctively sat on the ground, panting heavily.
