The Bride of The Hexodar Kingdom

Chapter 38:Lia's Plans For Neil

"So you want to go home now?"  Once again Lia tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear in a cute manner.  She lowered her head repeatedly, hiding a happy smile that she couldn't hold back.  She even forgot that the hair she was touching right now was just a wig.  Neil could indeed destroy her consciousness!

Not only handsome, but Neil was also very kind.  He was so good at smiling.  He always respects everyone, and Lia was one of those lucky people, regardless of whether Lia was old-fashioned or unattractive.

He could warm Lia's heart, Neil was the king of all kings, the trapper of everyone's heart.  He was like an angel disguised as a human.  Lia was even able to see that there were various sparks of light that filled Neil's face.  Of course, it was just a hallucination because Lia was too infatuated with him.

Neil smiled, very sweet and warm, spreading as if he could bloom a very young flower.  It was nearly impossible, but it seemed with Neil's smile it would be easy.

"Yeah, I'm going home now.  It was getting late and it would be very bad if I continued to be outside.  Besides, the weather is cold.  I'd better go home, clean up, and rest."  Neil stretched as he had just done some healthy physical activity.

Oh, Neil was so perfect.  When the guys in town would be out late, looking for fun with hot girls, he preferred to go home and rest at home.  Not because he had a wife and children.  Wasn't she very charming?

"You are right.  You'd better go home and rest.  You can catch a cold if you stay outside.  Right?"  Lia looked down shyly again.  She wiggled her legs and body as she blushed.

"Thanks for reminding me."  And Neil sounded very sincere.  "You can stop by my new cafe if you want.  It's not finished.  The interior has not been laid out neatly.  But I often stop by there to see the progress.  And… yeah, maybe you have some suggestions since you've got a lot of experience in cafes."

"Oh, it's not like that."  Lia blushed as she cleared her throat, then waved her hand slowly in the air.  Instantly a chill hit her and made her body tremble slightly.

Now they were outside the convenience store, on the sidewalk, in the dark, cold night.  Drops of water dripping from the tips of leaves, trees, and twigs.  With the street lights shining dimly, wasn't that a very romantic atmosphere?

Lia's mind had been wandering all over the place.  Suddenly her cheeks turned red when her eyes found Neil's soft lips that kept smiling.  Lia's gaze was half empty, and also stupid.

'I want to touch those lips.'

"You said that you worked long enough at the cafe.  That means you have quite a lot of experience.  At least you know a few things more than I do, I think.  I'm new to this field.  Usually, I don't do work in this field."  Neil chuckled, making Lia wake up from her dirty daydream.

Then she felt ashamed and wanted to curse herself. She felt very guilty towards Neil because she took the figure of Neil in her perverted fantasy.

"But I work in the cleaning department.  I'm not good at attracting customers, or maybe making them satisfied with my service.  I also don't know what to prepare in the kitchen, and everything before the cafe opens."  Lia decided not to cover everything up.  Neil was a nice guy. He must know what kind of work Lia did.

Even if she didn't know what kind of relationship they would have in the future, Lia hoped that the honesty she said at the beginning would make things easier.  Neil would see her for who she was, and that way she would know whether Neil gave her a chance to get close or not.

Lia looked up.  Her big, beautiful eyes were now a little nervous.  It's the first time she's been honest with the guy she liked about her job.

Usually, Lia would try to cover it up, wanting to look great and also wanting to look worthy of being loved.  However, remembering how it all ended in the past had made her learn a lot. She must prioritize honesty.

Moreover, Neil was very kind to him, even at the beginning, they met.  Neil looked very sincere.  And it wouldn't be fair if Lia cheated on him in the slightest.

"That doesn't matter at all.  To me, if you work in a cafe it means you know more than I do.  And that's good."

And that's good?  Hey, what did that mean?  Did that mean that Neil intended to learn some cafe details from Lia?  Didn't that mean that they have to see each other often, or at least have to communicate often?  Was this the green light from the universe that Neil was her soulmate?

Hey, she forgot about Prince Aerus.

"Ah, hahaha, you made me so embarrassed.  I didn't know that.  After all, the cafe where I work is a small one.  We don't get enough customers every day.  So there isn't much I can tell you."  Suddenly Lia became gloomy. She wanted to help Neil if that was possible.  But she was helpless.

"I see, you don't need to feel bad.  Honestly, I'm going to need an employee in a bit of time.  I thought I could hire you if you needed a job.  But yeah, it looks like you're not that free."

Lia froze, her mouth agape.  She combed Neil's face with a gleam.  Neil's good looks dazzled her eyes.  Lia fell in love.

'If I can work at Neil's cafe, I can get to know him better.  And it can make it easier for me to get him.  Oh, why am I so cheap?  But who cares?  If Neil is single, and as long as I don't approach him in a dirty way then that's fine right?  I want to be happy even for a moment.

'I know Neil is a rich man, handsome, kind, and perfect.  But I still won't back down.  I liked Neil for his kindness to me, which I never felt from any other man.  I just want to hold on to moments like this a little longer.'

Lia considered her heart, considered her feelings. She wanted to ask herself if she would fight for Neil in the future.  It was a big decision and one that would be very difficult to make in such a short time.

Finally, Lia took the first step, just in case something happened.  "Um, actually I have some plans.  But I'm still considering everything.  I mean, ehem, if you don't mind, can I have your number?"

A big explosion was about to happen.  Oh, if only Prince Aerus knew what Lia was doing, he would get angry and drag her right then!
