Epilogue

Declan

"Damn it, Connor! Why is there pizza sauce all over my laptop?" Connor peaks behind the office's door, his face set in repentance. "Sorry man, I was eating a slice when Hunter called and asked me to look up some data." Giving him a withering glare, I wipe my keyboard and look back at the screen. "Where's your sister?"

Connor takes a seat in one of my office chairs and waves his hand above his head. "She's out shopping for Sophia and Micah's wedding present." Exhaling deeply, I lean back in my chair and look at my brother. It's been almost a year since we moved in together, and it's been quite an adventure. But I can't say it hasn't been great because it has. After some work, Connor and I convinced Santana to hold off on working and attend school full-time. Because of that, she'll be graduating in a few weeks. She was so determined that she doubled up on classes and worked her tail off. She was even able to find a job while she interned at a nearby hospital.

Connor is doing great too. He's in college now, studying Cybersecurity, which is laughable because the kid is a computer hacker. In fact, he's been doing so well that he'll be graduating by the end of the year. He and Hunter have become good friends too.

I introduced them to a few other Confradia agents and their spouses. Everyone hit it off. She's now part of the Confradia wives club. She, Jade, Maleah, Sophia, Sage, and Ivy are all good friends. No, we're not married yet. San's been adamant that she wants to wait a while, and I've supported her decision. For now, I'm just happy to wake up with her in my arms.

Another thing that has changed is my mom. As soon as I brought San and Connor home, she took them under her wing like the momma bear she is. Connor even calls her mom, which tickles her pink. My mom is truly the most caring woman; she and Santana have both become very close too. They both adore each other and spend a lot of time together.

Santana sits on my lap with a kittenish grin. "Hey, baby. Did you miss me?" I nod my head with a feigned pout. "How could you leave me alone with Connor. The kid is a wreck." She chuckles in reply. "I told you that he was a mess before we moved in together. This one is on you." Pulling her close, I kiss her lips and tighten my arms around her. "Did you find anything for Micah and Sophia?" Santana's smile widens. "Yes, I did. Your mom came with me. We had lunch and cruised Madison until we found the perfect present. By the way, your mom is awesome at picking out gifts." Pulling strands of her hair beneath my nose, I inhale deeply and kiss her shoulder. "I love you," I whisper into her ear. Her lip quirks. "I love you, too─forever."

Oh yeah, I'm a very lucky man.
