Chapter 42: I Don’t Know You

Chun Yucheng waited for a few seconds, no answer was heard from the other side of the line.

He knew Feng Sheng was hesitating. Then…

“I’m hanging up,” Feng Sheng’s emotionless cold voice was heard from the other end.

“Hello?” The moment he replied, the monotonous tone of the call having been hung up rang in his ear. Chun Yucheng’s eyes widened. Feng Sheng had really hung up on him. “Damn it! You’re not going to answer? You’re clearly avoiding the question!”

Chun Yucheng put his hands in his pocket and then left the room. After doing so, he had a sudden realization.

“Both of the Feng brothers are crazy. Luo Yangyang is so innocent and yet, Sheng has the nerve to devour her.”

Having left the hospital room, Chun Yucheng saw Luo Yangyang waiting for the lift. He walked over to her slowly.

Luo Yangyang had felt distressed after waking up in the hospital because she did not recognize anyone familiar. While she was waiting for the lift, she saw Chun Yucheng from the corner of her eye. She turned around and walked away.

Chun Yucheng raised his eyebrows and shouted, “Luo Yangyang! Stay where you are!”

Why was she running at the sight of him? Did he look like a gangster? Did he look like a terrorist?

Luo Yangyang stopped reflexively. She then scolded herself for being so obedient. After that, she lifted her legs and began to run instead of walking.

“Eh? Why are you running?” Chun Yucheng chased after her. “You’re not wearing any shoes! Where do you think you’re going?”

Luo Yangyang lowered her head after hearing Chun Yucheng’s words. She then realized that she was indeed barefooted.

However, it was fine. The most important thing on her list was to get rid of the man behind her.

The nurses and doctors watched in shock as the two of them engaged in a chase in the long corridor.

The hospital forbade such behavior, but because one of them was Chun Yucheng, no one dared to go up and stop them.

Even though Luo Yangyang was good at running, she could not outrun Chun Yucheng. By the time they reached the staircase at the end of the corridor, Chun Yucheng had managed to grab hold of her arm.

“I won’t eat you. Why did you start running?” To prevent Luo Yangyang from running away, Chun Yucheng did not let go of her.

Luo Yangyang tried to escape from Chun Yucheng’s grip but it was of no use. The only thing she could do was look at him angrily and say, “I don’t know you. What do you want?”

“I don’t want anything from you,” Chun Yucheng said as he held on to her arm, “But Feng Sheng does.”

“What does he want?” Luo Yangyang lifted her eyebrows.

So Chun Yucheng really knew Feng Sheng?

“You should go back to your room, I’ll ask someone to bring you some clothes later.” Chun Yucheng let go of Luo Yangyang’s arm.

After he had finished speaking, he ignored Luo Yangyang completely and proceeded to walk down the staircase.

Luo Yangyang looked at Chun Yucheng who had left abruptly as she stood motionless on the ground. She did not know whether to leave the hospital or go back to her room as Chun Yucheng had advised her to do so.

“Right, my birthday’s next month. You should come.” Chun Yucheng said after stopping at the turning point of the staircase and looking at Luo Yangyang who was standing at the end of the corridor.

“…” Luo Yangyang looked at him, and she neither accepted nor rejected his invitation.

It was as if Chun Yucheng did not want to wait for her answer as he continued his way down the stairs after he had finished speaking.

When Luo Yangyang got home, no one made a fuss about her accident.

Aside from her and Feng Sheng, no one knew about the fact that she had been sent to the hospital due to menstrual cramps.

On the day of Chun Yucheng’s birthday, Feng Sheng picked Luo Yangyang up at the entrance of the Film Academy. He did not give her a chance to miss out on the party.

Feng Sheng first brought Luo Yangyang to buy a gown before he drove them to the port where both of them boarded an extravagant cruise ship.

“I have something I need to take care of, you go and have fun.” After they had boarded the ship, Feng Sheng decided to let Luo Yangyang roam around on her own.

It was not ideal for them to be seen together.

“Oh.” Luo Yangyang was wearing a pink dress. She nervously pulled down at her dress that reached her thighs and nodded obediently.

A few seconds later Feng Sheng left. However, he then turned around.

In the afterglow of the evening, he looked at the pure and sweet Luo Yangyang and said in a voice as cold as ice, “Don’t talk to other men.”
