Silent Hacker

We walk in and everyone in the building turns to look at Chip and I. I look to Chip then shrug. Yes, Chip draws a lot of attention but I didn't feel like it was safe for me to walk around alone here in the City. I start to walk to the stairs when a man suddenly cuts me off.

"What a pleasant surprise... A Charmer and her... Pet? Do you have an owner, Charmer?" He says while looking me over. I see the markings on his left arm clearly marking him as someone cursed. An Owner? What the hell was he talking about?

I look around the building and see that everyone here was male... Male and cursed. I frown and look at the man in front of me. "I'm my owner... now move." The man gives me a dark chuckle as some of the other men surrounding us move closer.

"Where can I find Alec?" I ask the man in front of me. His cocky smile grows as he says "Oh sweetie if you want to see the boss then you'll have to please me." He reaches out to touch my cheek. I grab his hand and twist with everything I have while releasing an electrical shock.

The man's knees buckle as he yells out and falls to his knees with a grimace. "I asked you a question," I say as Chip's growl grows. The surrounding men stop in their tracks not wanting to step closer.

The man on his knees looks up at me with a mix of fear and hatred as I continue holding his hand at a painful angle. He sneers as he says "What's it to you bitch? Alec doesn't talk to sluts like you." I sigh and crack my neck before I lift my knee and smash his nose while releasing another burst of electricity.

The man flies back hitting two other men behind him. They crash into the front desk shattering it on impact. I really liked this new suit... The other men watch with a nervous look as the three groan in pain on the floor. "Someone should inform Alec that I'm here before I allow all of you to play with my kitten."

The men step back and look at me like I have three heads. "What kitten?! Go inform Alec!" One of the men says hitting another. The man swallows hard looking at Chip. He looks back and nods before running up the stairs and disappearing.

The men left remain standing as the other three pull themselves up. The man I hit stands and wipes his bloody nose with anger and fury burning in his eyes. "You're gonna regret that bitch!" He then comes flying at me with all his rage. Chip goes to step in front of me but stops when Alec suddenly appears in front of us, grabbing the man by his neck and slamming him on the floor.

The floor shatters and buckles under the force of Alec slamming the man down. Alec snarls and says "If any of you even think about touching the air she breathes I'll rip you to pieces. Do I make myself clear?

The surrounding men lower their heads saying "yes". Alec looks back down to the man he currently has pinned down and snaps his neck. Killing him instantly. He stands up and says "If anyone talks to my woman like that again I skin you alive..." The surrounding men decide it's time to leave and run with fear.

I look at the body then back to Alec's strong back with confusion. I thought these men worked for him so I didn't want to kill them... I'm so confused. Alec turns to me with his dark black hair falling in front of his dark black eyes.

Quite honestly Alec was terrifying at times... His dark eyes roam all over me from head to toe before pulling me into a warm hug. "You shouldn't have come here. It's not safe. Are you okay?" He pulls me back and the scary monster I just saw a moment ago was gone. Now, this was the Alec I knew.
