Silent Hacker

"So let me get this straight... Some random hacker comes to you saying that he'd help flush out Silent? And you just agreed without knowing anything about him?" I ask in disbelief. Jang clears his throat and says "He's a freelancer so it's not uncommon for him to do things like this."

I force myself not to laugh but I couldn't stop the twitch of my lips. "I'm going to give you an hour to leave my City. I don't have to tell you what will happen if you don't." I say leveling him with a look. I could kill him right now but I really don't want to deal with the cleanup.

I'd rather spend time with Maya... and if I thought for a second that this guy was a real threat, I would have killed him but the poor bastard was being used... used by that hacker to get closer to Maya. It's about time I found out just who this "hacker" is.

"Maya, the parts for my new body will be here in the morning..." Chip says with uncertainty so I quickly say "Even if I'm starving I'll make your body Chip... Don't worry." Chip beeps as the automatic watering system kicks on.

I found myself frowning as I bite into the juicy apple again. Who was this guy and what was he after? All I could do was wait for him to try and hack us again before I can try and trap him but I was starting to feel like he knew exactly what I was going to do.

As if I was always one step behind him... and I hated the feeling. I bite the apple but leave it in my mouth as I make it back over to the computers. I pull up the pictures of the man pinned against the wall in the hospital and look at them again.

I guess he was the one that left the "gift"? I look through the reports again and frown. I initially thought it was Alec because the person would have to be able to get in and out without anyone seeing him and yet...

I lean back in the chair looking at the report and picture sitting side by side. Could there be more like Alec? And could this person also have the ability to hack? Thinking about everything that's happened lately it wouldn't be impossible but I feel like I'm reaching.

I have nothing that tells me that he's like Alec but my gut tells that he really might be. One of the most important things you learn in prison is to trust your gut and when you choose to ignore it? Bad things would follow. Maybe I should talk to Alec and ask him about his... kind?

I decide to call it quits for now and just ask Alec when I see him again. I push away from the computer and head for a shower. After a hot shower, I crawl into bed and think about the build for Chip. I couldn't give him a human body so it'll have to be the next best thing. I just hope Chip likes it.
