Silent Hacker

I make it to the elevator while looking from one side to the other. "Maya... I can't call the elevator without alerting the humans down there..." I frown and say "No problem, just open these doors and I'll make my way own way down."

Chip beeps and I only have to wait another few seconds before the doors click open. I pry the heavy doors open and I'm greeted with total darkness and ice cold air. I reach in and grab the inside as Chip closes the doors behind me.

The contacts adjust against the total darkness as I blink a few times. That was a very long way down..."Why didn't you tell me how far this went down?" I whisper in panic and Chip quickly says "You saw the report I made.. all the numbers were there... it's not my fault you're a scaredy cat..." I choke and quickly clear my throat.

I could slide down but I'm afraid I'll make too much noise and announce my presence... that's the last thing I want to do so I bite my lower lip as I ease myself down. I was suddenly grateful for the cold air that seemed to grow colder the lower I went.

As I finally reach the bottom I lightly land on the top of the elevator itself and pause. Chip gives the all clear as I open the top and slip into the elevator. "Wait.," Chip says and I do just that while I control my breathing.

I hear a click and see the doors slightly open. I pry them open and slip through silently. Chip beeps again as he closes the doors and does a scan around us "I don't have eyes in every room down here Maya... be careful. This is where they are holding the children." I see a large blue dot in one of the rooms farther away.

I nod but say "That's good but I want to visit the monsters running this place first... Only after taking care of them will I go get the children. Have the police on standby in case anything happens." Chip beeps and immediately shows me a map with moving red dots... each one representing an employee down here... each one I will personally kill.

I start moving and as I turn the corner the lights flicker and go out causing the man in front of me to stop and reach out. I smile at the help Chip gives as I grab him by the throat and shove him into an empty room before snapping his neck. I watch with happiness as the man's body drops in front of me but the happiness is quickly forgotten with the sight in front of me.

I take a shuddering breath as I look at the countless bodies piled on top of each other... like trash. They were all children... I take a weak step forward wanting to confirm what I was actually seeing. There's no way... how could so many children be killed... how was it that all these children weren't reported missing... or had they?

"Maya... your heart rate and breathing are unstable.." Chip says showing me on the contacts before I shake my head and say "My breathing and heart rate are completely normal Chip... These are children... hundreds of them... killed and dumped here like trash... if I could remain "normal" After seeing something like this... then it wouldn't be normal.." I say in a soft voice as Chip beeps and says "Noted."

I have Chip take several pictures as I try to remain calm. I look back to the body of the man I just killed and sneer. His death was too quick.. too clean... he deserved a gruesome death. I roll my shoulders and take a deep breath. "Chip... make sure not a single soul is left alive... do you understand? Also... lock the door to the children to keep them safe while I have my fun serving them their long overdue justice." Chip beeps and says "Understood!"
