SIBLINGS: Forbidden Love

Anna turned to look at him with fear in her eyes "what...what...what do..do you...think?"

Jason remained silent for a while before heaving a deep sigh "I think we need to go to a hospital."

"Hospital? Is it necessary?" She asked.

"Yes" he answered "for all the obvious reasons."

"What about class?"

"Let's go have it first, then you will come back for class and after school, we will go back for the result."

"What result?"

Jason sighed "Anna, come on."

Anna bit her lower lip, her heart was already thumping in her chest and she knows which test Jason wants her to take. They walked back to the canteen and she grabbed her bag before they both left for the hospital.

There was a hospital not to far away from her school, so they entered there. Jason spoke to a nurse and she ushered Anna in to speak with the doctor. After that, a pregnancy test strip was given to her and she walked into the bathroom and peed on it. She rushed out and handed the strip to the nurse.

"I will come back later to look at it" she told her in a whisper.

The nurse stared at her and at the tube before smiling, she understands she is scared, but it's inevitable "I will advice you have an ultrasound when you come back."

Anna looked at her sharply when she heard that but the nurse smiled to her "don't worry, I will keep this safe for you" and she turned around and left the room where she saw Jason waiting, she smiled to him and walked away. Anna emerged later looking lost, the nurse might not have said anything, but she could see that smile in her eyes and her heart thumped heavily.

She looked at Jason and smiled weakly and he reached out to her, he pulled her into his arms and kissed her hair "everything is gonna be okay" he whispered in her ear. Maybe hearing that from him or believing it was possible, she just can't tell but his soft voice and the realization of what they might be into brought tears in her eyes and she sobbed softly with Jason comforting her.

Jason took Anna back to school but she was not in the mood to attend any of classes again but he forced and told her he will be waiting for her at the canteen before she agreed and walked into her class. Jason returned to the canteen and sat down with his mind running wild, what is he to do? There is no doubt Anna is carrying their child but what will they do now? Their relationship was already forbidden and now she is pregnant, what will the world say? What will they call him? The brother that impregnated his sister?

He sighed, he wouldn't mind what they call him, he wouldn't mind if they tarnish his name, he don't care what the people say but what effect will it bring to Anna? Definitely, it's going to be a negative effect, how will she react to it? How can she keep her head up high when she walk again and most importantly, how can they face their parents? What are they going to say? Their mother, though she usually deny it is a public figure, how will people see her? What effect will their mistake have in their mother's career? Can she still stand proud and talk during her conference meetings?

What will the local news say? What will the local papers write? Will the press stalk their mother? Will her years of working go down the drains because of her children's mistake? What will people see her as, a bad mother? A mother who can't watch over her children well? A mother who is only concerned about her career? Just what will the papers write? Will Anna stop school? He is already a graduate, he don't need to worry about school, but if this should get out, will uncle Peterson still want him in his company? And if he does, will he be insulted for hiring a brother who impregnated his sister? Will it affect his company's reputation? If he doesn't hire him will any other company do? What about their father, can he still meet with uncle Peterson with pride?

What will be their father's fate in this whole issue? Will people avoid him and his work that he is not a good father? What will be the fate of his family in all these?

"Oh God what have I done?" Jason muttered to himself as he wiped his face with his hands, his mind still wandering far and near, why, why did he do this? Why did he let his emotion get the best of him? Why didn't he think of all these first? While didn't he use protection? He buried his hand in his hair with his head placed on the table. How can he solve this mess? What is the right solution for this situation?

She can always abort, a voice whispered in his mind, he raised his head at that, staring into nothingness, abort? That can solve this, if Anna aborts, that will solve everything, he just needs to end their relationship after that and they will go back to being only siblings, right? Their love will remain their deepest secret forever, yes, no one will suffer then, Anna won't drop out of school and peers won't mock her. Their mother will remain the proud woman she is and their father, well, he will remain as friendly as he is to everyone. Everything will go back to normal, he will get his job and Anna will get to finish school.

Jason sighed and fetched out his phone to book an appointment with a hospital, a news popped up in his screen and he reached to swipe it away when his eyes saw the word 'abortion' and his heartbeat rate increased, he didn't know when he touched the saucer and the news opened and he read inaudibly "my boyfriend found out I was pregnant, he offered to take me to the hospital for a checkup, little did I know he already booked an appointment with the doctor for me to have an abortion. He offered me a juice on our way to the hospital and I didn't know he drugged it. I woke up after everything only to see him looking at me with tears in his eyes. He told me about everything he did but the issue now is that I can never get pregnant again because he took me to a quack doctor, what I'm I to do?"

Jason's hand shook as he read the sentence, 'can't get pregnant again', will that happen to Anna? He quickly clicked on the comments and read what people were saying "he is an ass bitch, he deserve to rot in jail."

"Call the police on him, he don't deserve another minute of freedom."

"My God, I can't believe someone can be so heartless to kill his own child!" The last comment hit him the most, 'his own child' that's true, that's his baby that Anna is carrying, wait, was he planning to kill his own child? His own blood? Is he that heartless?

He kept reading the comments "God, someone like him don't deserve to be a father."

"He will never have a child in his life again!"

"He is inhumane!"

"Lock him up I say my dear, press charges, this is such a big crime."

"His mother should be ashamed of him."

"He should have just said he doesn't love you and don't want the baby, why act like he care only to get you pregnant and not only did he abandon you, he made you lose your fertility! Girl I say, you take a gun and shoot him right in the balls, if you can't have a baby again, he doesn't deserve to too."

Jason was shocked at the likes of the last comment and the replies "yes girl I'm in support."

"This is just the best."

"Girl I can give you kisses for this advice."

"I won't even shoot him to survive."

"He deserves whatever that will be done to him."

"He is a disgrace to mankind!" Jason shut his phone immediately, he couldn't read any more. Will all this be said about him? Will people think of him as an asshole? Will he be deemed heartless for killing his own child?

Heavens, he can't believe he actually thought about that! What pain would he have inflicted on Anna? What if she will not be able to conceive again? How can he live with that? Just as his mind was still running helter skelter "Jason" he heard someone call him in a soft voice, he looked up to see Anna standing before him, she looked so pale and seemed to have lost weight from the last time he saw her which was just two hours ago! He sprung to his feet immediately and helped her sit down.

"Why are you looking like this?" He asked worriedly.
