SIBLINGS: Forbidden Love

The next day being Thanksgiving day got their home filled up with family and friends. His uncles and Aunts were all surprised to see him "Samuel didn't tell us you came back" they all said.

"I didn't know he did till I come home" Samuel tried to defend himself every single time.

Veronica and Anna joined the women in the kitchen as they chatted and cooked, mostly about how handsome Jason has become and that very soon, he will bring home a bride. Veronica agreed but also tried to remind them that he was just twenty one but they don't seem to care and was already making plans of the wedding.

As much as Anna wanted to stay in the kitchen with them, their discussion was really tearing on her heart but she can't walk away from the truth even if she wants to, she can walk away now but will she do that forever? Sooner than later Jason indeed will bring a bride home, that's if he hadn't gotten a girlfriend already, she hasn't seen him for three years, is it that they are no beauties in Cambridge? Of course not, she is pretty sure there is a lady waiting for him to come back to London.

The day was merrily and noisy but it was so much enjoyed, Jason haven't had such happy and fun filled Thanksgiving for three years and really missed it and therefore enjoyed himself while promising himself that he is not going to stay away from home during holidays ever again.

A day after Thanksgiving, Samuel got a call for a contract in Philadelphia, he will be staying for a week and the pay was good, as much as he still wants to stay with his family and also knowing Jason will be going back to school soon, he can't reject the contract, after all, he has been waiting for the call for three months now and so have to say goodbye to his family and promising Jason to keep in touch.

The rest of the day passed with them having one fun or the other with their mom. Three days after Thanksgiving, Veronica walked into the living room with a small travelling bag, Jason looked away from the television when he noticed her and so did Anna.

"Kids I am so sorry, but there is this conference meeting in Chicago that I must attend, I mean it's a must."

"I thought you said you won't be traveling till next week?" Jason asked and Anna nodded.

"Yes but then this just came out and I can't afford to miss it, I promise I will be back latest in three days time" Veronica tried to pacify them.

"Will it take that long?" Anna asked.

"I don't know, it all depends" she sighed "sweetie I'm so sorry but I must go. Anita already booked a flight for me."

Jason sighed "it's okay, we will manage" only that I will be dead before you get back.

"Yea" Anna agreed too.

"Thanks sweetie. Jason you take good care of your sister."

"When have I never?" He asked with a smile and Veronica retuned the smile before kissing Anna on her forehead.

"You be a good girl."

"Mom I'm not fifteen years anymore" Anna rolled eyes.

"I know you are not but you will always be my baby girl" Veronica insisted.

"Let me drop you" Jason offered.

"That's great, you can also return the car but that will mean, you will come pick me up when I return."

"I can be your driver" he teased.

"Okay then" she made to carry her bag but he did. They both got to the door when Jason noticed Anna was not following them.

"You coming sis?" He asked.

"Nah, I will just stay here" she refused.

"Doing what? Let's see her to the airport, come on" he urged and she later agreed. They got to the car and Jason dropped Veronica's bag in the trunk before walking to the driver's door. They all settled in and he started the car and drove off. They dropped Veronica at the airport and stayed with her till her flight was ready before leaving.

"So here we are again, just like the old days" he smiled when they got into the car, Anna was now sitting in the passenger's seat, she looked out the window, not wanting to answer him. Jason noticed and chuckled "are you still angry with me?"

"You missed prom and my graduation" she accused.

"I know and I'm sorry. That's why I wanted you to come out, I will make it up to you."

"We are not going home?" She asked surprised.

"Do you want to?" He asked glancing at her.

"Well, I just..." She had nothing to say.

"We aren't going home to do anything, and it's just 2:30, we can go to any theatre, watch any movie of your choice."

"Only one movie?" She asked with a raised eyebrow and he laughed.

"Fine, any movies of your choice" he practically dragged the 'movies' to suit her taste.

"Good. And after?"

"We can go to a club if you are up to it, at least you have come of age now, I won't be arrested for anything" he commented and this time she laughed.

"Sounds like fun" she added.

"Yea it is. I must tell you, I have really missed spending time with you" he looked at her briefly and smiled.

She smiled back "me too."

Jason stepped on his accelerator then and soon they arrived at their favourite movie theatre. They walked in hand in hand like couples and went to the movie board, Anna actually chose a cartoon.

"A cartoon!" Jason exclaimed.

"Yes, you said and I quote 'any movies of my choice" she dragged the 'movies' too in order to sound like he did.

Jason heaved a long sigh and said nothing again, he actually sold himself to her and will have no other choice than to sit with her for ninety minutes the cartoon would last. Just few more minutes before the cartoon will start, he excused himself to go buy popcorn, Anna loved watching movies with popcorn and he will never forget that.

Just as he was paying for the popcorn, he heard someone call his name and turned to see Megan.

"Jason, it really is you" she was really delighted to meet him and smiled so beautifully.

Jason was surprised to see her, he never expected to bump into an old classmate and friend "Megan, what a surprise to see you."

"Me too, damn Jason, you look hot" she complimented.

"You look beautiful too, I wonder why I have never seen that before" he examined and she really do look beautiful.

"Why, thank you" she chuckled "that's literally the first time you are complimenting me."

"I'm sorry about that."

"Oh it's okay. It's really good to see you again, you came to watch a movie?"

"Yea."

"Are you alone?"

"No I'm with Anna, let's go meet her" he intended to walk away but she held his arm.

"I'm sorry but Anna don't like seeing me anymore" she said with a faint smile.

"Really?" He looked surprised and then remembered what could cause it "Courtney" he smiled.

"Yea, she literally threw the blame on me, since Courtney is not around to take her blame."

Jason chuckled "I'm sorry, she is just like that. Whoever that hurt me gets challenged by her and she always try her best to hurt them back."

"Yea I know, you too are loving like that" she smiled "you mind if we sit somewhere?"

He wanted to reject but the cartoon still have some time before it starts "yea of course."

They both walked to some empty seats and sat down "I have tried calling you, but it never connected, that was when I approached Anna to ask about you but she snubbed me, I'm pretty surprise why she didn't come home to shout at Courtney."

Jason chuckled "she wouldn't do something like that."

Megan took a deep breath before letting it out slowly "I'm really sorry, you know...about that day" she bit her lower lip.

"I know you did it on purpose but don't worry, I'm not angry with you" he assured her.

"I know it's was not right for my to do, judging by the fact that she is actually my sister but the thing was just too much. Every time Cash comes to see her, I will try to reason with her, to remind her about you but she will always go on with the stuff that you don't kiss her or do anything with her, that sometimes she feels like you were just forcing yourself to be with her. I told her, I told her that one day I might not take it anymore and tell you but she said I wouldn't dare and so I dared" she looked at him "I'm sorry you just have to be in the middle of all this."

"It's okay really, I must tell you that I'm glad you did. It's through that I have never kissed her or any of that stuff but I was just trying to warm up to her."

"That's exactly what I always tell her."

"I'm glad I haven't fallen in love" he looked at her "you know, that much with her before everything happened, if not I would have been so much hurt."

Megan sighed "I'm really sorry."

"Its okay, really" he smiled.

"You know I followed you" he looked at her surprised and she laughed "yea I did, you looked so hurt when you came down from the stairs and I felt so bad, so I decided to follow you at least to keep an eye on you before you do something stupid" she giggled.

"Wow, I didn't know."
