Chapter 46: Fighting a Martial Master

Ye Tian’s mind was clear. Any conflict directly with Wang Xu had an uncertain outcome, and it was far more beneficial if he used his hidden power to kill Wang Tian and Wang Hu first. With his current might, they couldn’t last long against him.

Without his right and left hand, Wang Xu couldn’t threaten the Ye Family alone no matter how powerful he was.

Thoughts flashing through his mind, Ye Tian rushed forward, quietly approaching Wang Tian and Ye Feng.

“Hong!”

Powerful True Qi billowed from Wang Tian’s body as he struck forward with his palm, sending three Ye Family warriors flying back and vomiting blood. The half-step expert quickly followed through with a sword strike, his face twisted ferociously as Sword Qi manifested from his blade.

The three heavily injured Ye Family warriors could only watch in terror.

“Shua!”

Ye Feng’s saber intervened and blocked the horrifying strike, but his saber succumbed to the Sword Qi, the terrible force shattering the blade into pieces and traveling up Ye Feng’s arm, forcing him back several steps.

“Uncle Feng!”

“Ye Tian!”

Ye Tian hurriedly steadied Ye Feng, his mentor’s eyes gleaming as he recognized the young expert.

“Uncle Feng, leave him to me. Go take care of Wang Hu!” Ye Tian spoke calmly, nodding at Ye Feng.

Ye Feng returned his nod, cautioning him: “Careful, he’s a half-step Martial Master.”

“He’ll die regardless!” Ye Tian replied, his eyes gleaming coldly as he turned to Wang Tian.

“Heehee, your Ye Family Village truly has nobody. Even this wet-eared brat had to come and give up his life.” Wang Tian smiled mockingly, the clean metal of his sword flashing in the light.

“You’re the one who will die!” Ye Tian sneered, charging forward.

“En? This brat…”

Wang Tian’s eyes narrowed in confusion as the youngster rushed him.

“Half-step Martial Master, show me your strength!” Ye Tian roared, his True Qi billowing outward, the terrifying strength of his Level Ten cultivation summoning a fierce wind that whipped up the dust and earth.

“Level Ten Martial Artist!”

“What?!”

Wang Tian’s eyes flashed as his expression changed to one of horror.

“The brat is a Level Ten Martial Artist? Impossible!” Wang Tian gasped, feeling his brain stall at the unbelievable sight, his entire body filled with astonishment.

“Take this!”

Ye Tian burst forward without restraint, flashing over the distance in the blink of an eye and taking advantage of Wang Tian’s dazed hesitation to strike with his palm.

A ferocious gale flew forward with the nine palm shadows of his Thundering Palm.

“Low Yellow Great Perfection!” Wang Tian recognized with shock, jolting him just as he was stirring from his initial astonishment.

“How old is this brat? He’s already cultivated to Level Ten and mastered a Yellow Rank skill! This talent would put him in the top three even in Blood Jade City! He’ll definitely become a Martial Master!”

Wang Tian’s eyes flashed as a thousand thoughts raced through his mind, a strong murderous intent rising up within him. Now that the Wang Family had broken the peace, this young man would one day mature into a deathly threat to their future.

Such a peerless genius born of the Ye Family Village must be extinguished.

The killing intent in Wang Tian’s eyes thickened as he struck with his sword, a cold smile returning to his face. “This old man has killed many but never a genius like you. Your death will be amazing.”

“Hong!”

Wang Tian’s Sword Qi flashed, obliterating Ye Tian’s palm shadows.

The mature expert followed through on his slash, his left palm striking forward with a huge burst of True Qi.

“Killing me? You aren’t capable! Eat my saber!” Ye Tian sneered, utterly unafraid before Wang Tian’s palm strike as he slashed with his saber.

Wang Tian parried the saber, sacrificing his prepared strike to slap down on the Scarlet Saber’s blunt edge as he simultaneously stabbed forward with his sword, crying out with his face twisted: “Die, brat!”

The terrifying aura of piercing Sword Qi filled the air and the deadly sharp presence had Ye Family warriors in every direction crying out with worry.

“Die!”

Ye Tian’s eyes flashed, unleashing his Saber Intent halfway through his saber strike, the invisible energy bursting forth from the blade with oppressive intent.

“Hong!”

Saber, palm, and sword collided in a terrifying explosion of force, the epicenter of a powerful storm of wind that swept the dust on the ground high into the sky.

The powerful collision stunned the entire battlefield into a moment of silence and even the Village Chiefs retreated from their duel and turned their eyes.

“Geezer Ye, to think your Ye Family had such a genius? Sadly he’s no opponent for Wang Tian and will die today.” Wang Xu smiled coldly, hiding the shock in his heart. The Ye Family Village actually had such a terrifying young genius! Luckily they had forced the battle; otherwise, Ye Tian would’ve one day grown unstoppable.

“Hmph, the battle is undecided!” Ye Shi snorted, sneering at the Martial Master, taking the moment to recover from his significant True Qi consumption.

“Heehee, do you really think that brat can defeat Wang Tian?” Wang Xu mocked.

At that moment.

“Peng!”

Another loud blast filled the air as a figure flew out of the settling whirlwind of dust, smashed backwards and landing heavily in the dirt.

Blood spewed from the man’s mouth, his face pale. Everyone watched in silence, the eyes of every warrior falling open in shock.

Wang Xu watched, his face transforming with disbelief.

Wang Tian lay collapsed on the ground, his mouthful of spewed blood covering his chest. The half-step Martial Master Captain lay on the ground, groaning.

The famous expert had been defeated by Ye Tian.

“You…” Wang Tian gasped, spitting out another mouthful of blood. His hands reached up to the gaping wound in his chest, his face contorting with despair as he stared unwillingly at Ye Tian. Blood seemed to fill his throat as he coughed, unable to speak another word before he expired.

“Wang Tian!”

Wang Xu rushed over, kneeling down beside his right hand man with astonishment and disbelief marring his face.

A strange quiet now ruled the chaotic battlefield as every eye turned an astonished gaze towards Ye Tian.

The famous powerhouse of White Cloud Town had died today at the hands of a sixteen year old youth.

Disbelieving eyes turned from Ye Tian to the wide-eyed death glare of Wang Tian and the frozen Martial Warriors soon began to gasp and cry out.

“Ye Tian!”

“Ye Tian!”

The Ye Family Villagers passed from shock to celebration as their morale soared.

But the Wang Family warriors all looked as if they had just seen their father killed, their hearts conquered by the death of their invincible captain at the hands of a teenager.

Many of the Wang warriors gulped in fear, their spirits shocked.

A sixteen year old Level Ten Martial Artist had killed a Half Step Martial Master expert. This talent… monstrous!

Even though they were thinking on their toes, everyone immediately understood that this genius would one day surely enter the Martial Master realm and surpass Wang Xu. Ye Tian was young and his future brilliant and limitless; as long as he lived, no one could guess what level he might grow to in the future.

“Hahaha… good! Good! Good!” Ye Shi began laughing uproariously, happiness filling his eyes.

“Ye Tian!”

Ye Ba, Ye Meng, and the other experts were calling out with thrilled excitement.

Ye Tian’s name would now thunder throughout White Cloud Town as the number one expert under Wang Xu.

“Brat. No matter how great your talent, you will die today and your entire village will burn for Wang Tian’s death!”

A cold voice spat, cutting down the Ye Family’s excitement.

Wang Xu had recovered, and after handing Wang Tian’s body to another warrior, he began to slowly stand up, his cold glare locked onto Ye Tian with a killing intent filling his eyes.

“Come—show me the power of a Martial Master. Let me see if you can kill me!” Ye Tian called back with utter calm, no fear in his eyes as he pointed his Scarlet Saber at Wang Xu.

A fierce killing intent burst forth from the saber, shooting forward towards the Martial Master.

“Hong!”

Wang Xu’s eyes twitched as he smiled mockingly, lifting his hand and smashing the Saber Intent with a burst of True Qi.

Ye Tian’s face fell at the casual display of the Martial Master’s might. Wang Xu’s spiritual sense was sharp and he could clearly sense the invisible Saber Intent.

“You used this to kill Wang Tian? Looks like you’re practicing a powerful Martial Skill, but a Martial Artist cannot even imagine the power of a Martial Master!”

Wang Xu sneered, punching forward with the might of a falling mountain, a blinding light surrounding his fist.

Ye Tian felt an overwhelming pressure falling upon him, suffocating him.

“Kill!”

Ye Tian roared, killing intent bursting forth and True Qi flooding his body. He broke free from the oppression and struck forward with his saber, Saber Qi protruding half an inch from the tip of his blade.

“Half-step Martial Master? Truly a genius, but you’ll still die today!” Wang Xu remarked with surprise, his face falling further as the killing intent in his eyes deepened.
