Seiun wo Kakeru

Nine stories. Deal with the village of Tal.

How long have you been asleep?

By the time she realized, Age was lying on her back.

The sky in sight is slightly red-burned, at dusk.

I had a light lunch and then enjoyed the conversation with Tania and Fernando for a while.

Repeat the irreplaceable scenery, with a slight pause, and then the memory is unclear.

Tania slept with a pile of fur on her back, cleverly seated.

Observe the seldom seen sleeping face because it usually wakes up earlier than Age.

The closer you look at it this way, the prettier you can see it.

It's such a waste for me.

"Oh, are you awake? It's a good time. We just got to Tal Village."

"I'm sorry I left it to you"

"What, you must be tired of doing things you're not used to"

Fernando said he had arrived in the village, but that was not accurate and apparently meant he had reached the outskirts of the village.

One private house and all I could see was the fields poking around.

Is that the house?

The house has a straw roof and a very qualitative construction called mud walls.

Is it rather technically inferior to the wooden village of Siena because of the insufficient number of carpenters?

The answer was revealed as the cow car progressed.

The village centre was well built compared to the outer circumference and the same wood as the village of Siena.

Is the rebuilding not progressing?

When I arrived at the house of the big village chief at the international time, Girolamo was picking me up whether I had already received the arrival.

Still looking sinister.

"Welcome, Fell. And the one in the village of Siena. You must have been the blacksmith's... Mr. Age."

"Yasu. Long time no see."

"And this beautiful lady..."

"You're good. My name is Tania, Age's wife."

"Nice to meet you. And nice to meet you, I'm Girolamo, village chief of Tal Village"

Girolamo carefully lowered his head against Age and Tania, but Fernando seemed to be greeted by a handshake.

Standing side by side, Girolamo is much older, but he may be breathtaking.

"Is it as usual to replace it?

"Basically. Age came in this year, so I need a little more stuff. We've got the nails we wanted, so we'll match the replacement ratios later."

"That won't help. Age, what do you need?

"Oil, right? Is there a good amount of anti-friction for iron products?

"I do. Though I don't have that many stockpiles. Olive and grapeseed oils, vegetable seed oils, but I wonder which one."

"Can I get some vegetable seed oil? And a little olive oil."

"If you have too many, you might want to be able to make them in the village."

"I'll think about it"

The village of Siena has a high percentage of gradual fields and is not very productive in the fields.

The wheat harvest is also about 2.3x, with little surplus except for the seed portion.

Because of this, it is easy to fall short of food.

With no surplus personnel, there would be very little room to swing to a new job.

Pietro also has a strong connotation that Age herself is somewhat older and to prevent the loss of technology.

We can only increase the number of plows, introduce rotation as soon as possible to increase productivity and target livestock growth and population growth. It didn't seem like a story I could do in a year or two.

Will the rest be a little more water wheel power to secure personnel due to reduced working hours?

Shut up and gather your thoughts, you realize it's like you've become an exchanger.

Helping the guide village chief with his job may not be a bad idea.

Live as a blacksmith, if only on the assumption.

"What's wrong with being confused?

"Oh, excuse me.... Think a little."

"My husband sometimes indulges in his thoughts. Excuse me."

"No, I don't mind. Do you have anything left?

"Excuse me, can I have a few small pots please... ten or so"

I'll have it ready by tomorrow's departure.

Upon completion of the order for the traded goods, they are invited to the house of Girolamo.

There was one large bed in the guest room.

They're the only ones in this house even in the village.

The large length of the upper lid type has a splendid bronze lock so that you can pack there.

"This is the key, so keep it safe until tomorrow"

"Okay."

After being guided to the room, the meal began immediately.

The light was turned on for dinner because we arrived late.

It makes me feel sorry for the expense I don't need.

Line a very long table with two long chairs.

On one side sits the family of Girolamo and on the other side the side of the village of Siena.

Girolamo's house is full of children, with five children.

It would be around 25 up there and not 10 down there.

The table is lined with menus for visitors.

In a preserved meal such as sausage on ham, cheese and oatmeal porridge are lined with bean soup.

The ham was baked and the sausage was boiled and served.

Western calamari, parsley and peppermint are served.

There were two types of cheese available, one with cow's milk and the other with highly odoured goat's cheese. Both have a good taste and the porridge soothes.

Drinks are wine.

When it comes to wine, it's a seedle that ferments apples, not grapes.

The conversation while eating focused initially on public discourse, but on the changes caused by Age's coming along the way, and on taxes.

I guess Girolamo is asking about different ways to do things in an attempt to make the village run a little better.

"I see. Is there such a way to make a field? You can't just sow seeds, either. I'd love for you to demonstrate."

"Removing stones and sowing seeds will soon be practicable. Ploughshares aren't even in our village yet, so we can't do it right away."

"Looking forward to the spring harvest."

"Oh, the fields are the same, but the harvest from them is going to increase, so we can save quite a bit."

"Tax too high......"

Girolamo pounding and stupidity with a troubled look.

Tilt the cup glitchy and the seedle flushes down.

"Is it that bad?

"Don't you know yet, Age? Our village was damaged the most in battle, but there are many instructors, we take a lot of baked goods, and it's the end that children can't safely make."

An instructor is a labor obligation.

Labor is imposed such as repairing roads, building and repairing lords' places of stay.

After being handed about two days a week, baked goods of traded specialties also need to be paid as taxes in large quantities, instead taxes such as wheat are suppressed.

Apparently, the village of Tal still has a small number of children other than Girolamo.

Village survival is more at stake if it is not prolific than a short life expectancy and inadequate medical technology and public health.

Now, thanks to iron pots and knives, I was delighted to be able to turn the cooking time to production.

"Age, be careful with the tax collector, too. Because they're terribly greedy, and when they realize they taste good, they try to squeeze them thoroughly. If they notice the attraction of iron, it's hard."

"Is that so"

"They're the ones with no blood or tears. Franco's guy came to our village the other day. We'll be heading to the village of Siena soon."

Girolamo looked slightly red and gave him a warning with a harsh look.
