Reincarnation of the Cheater

Chapter 63:Waiting for the Village's Request

'Isn't this near the place where I spawned into the world? How did I not notice that there was someone watching me? Now that I think of it, it was probably because I was a low level then and didn't have any sensory skills. '

The Elf Village is just as it would be described in a fantasy novel. With a limited number of elves due to their fertility rate, they expanded at near the same rate of humans. Although the current humans are still behind the ones of Earth. The Elves expanded in the forest while studying magic, making strides in magic and magic tools instead of advancing as a civilization. The houses were pretty normal for how advanced they seem to be. Just from the entrance, I can see that it was either a teleporter or a magic tool that covers the entire village in an illusion. Hopefully, it's an illusion. I want to look more into how I can use illusions, I may be able to cover villages and hide them from monsters.

"Follow me please." An elf says as he leads me to a nearby house.

There are only a couple of houses, around 30 maybe? The house that I was brought to though resembled the houses that the humans of this world made in the city. I guess this isn't the first time that a human has come to this village? The house looks quite old but it has been kept care of.

"This house is where you will be staying for the duration of your visit. It may not be much but please bear with it until the chief calls for you." The Elf says as he bows and leaves me with the key.

Entering into the house I decided to sit in one of the chairs and wait for the village chief to call for me. It doesn't seem like it would take a while to be called since they looked like they had something important to ask of me. I'll just look at my status in the meantime.

'Blacksmithing is level 1, Transcendent Regeneration needs to be tested, Telekinesis needs to be tested as well, and Invisibility can be tested immediately.' I say to myself as I'm looking over my new skills. I feel that there might be some really useful things I can do with Telekinesis and the Transcendent Regeneration literally sounds Over Powered.

'Invisibility'

Upon casting invisibility a see-through aura encases me and my body becomes see-through as well but it is still kinda visible.

[The skill makes to so you can see yourself but others cannot.]

'Alright then, Invisibility seems like another stealth so I'm not sure if it would be as useful. How about the uses for Telekinesis?' I say as I deactivate the invisibility skill and my body becomes visible again. Grabbing the recently upgraded dagger from the system inventory I throw it at a random wall and as the dagger flies through the air ready to tear through the wall, I activate the Telekinesis skill focusing on the dagger as it stops mid-air.

As I move my hand the dagger follows the same trajectory throughout the air. After testing it out some more I can move it with just my mind but it takes a lot more focus and more mana to use the skill. It doesn't move as smooth as before either. I guess that I have to level the skill up for it to be more useful. Deactivating the skill I look at the new screen on the system the NPC Screen.

[NPC Status]

-Wrath (Lv.1)

-Gluttony (Lv.1)

[NPC Exp: 4600]

'How much experience does it take to level up the NPC's?'

[The level formula for NPC's is Level x 1000. Currently, it is 1000 experience to level up any NPC.]

'Level them both up to level 2.'

[Processing... Done.]

[Remaining NPC Exp: 2600]

'Level up Wrath to level 3.' I say after decided on which NPC to level up.

[Processing... Done.]

[The NPC "Wrath" has reached level 3.]

'It really is a shame that I couldn't get the final hit on the parasite from earlier, I would have definitely leveled up from that.' I say with a sigh as I think of what could have happened differently in that situation.

'How many skill points do I have left?'

[You currently have 240 Skill Points.]

'How many to upgrade the blacksmith skill?'

[The Blacksmithing skill can only be upgraded through hard work and proficiency. Skill Points cannot be used on "life" skills.]

'Damn, I wanted to be able to make OP items pretty quickly.'

After thinking about where I should put the skill points in I decided to put them into transcendent regeneration as a fail-safe.

'Put the skill points into Transcendent Regeneration then.'

[Processing... Done. Skill Points have been added to the skill "Transcendent Regeneration".]

[Congratulations! The skill "Transcendent Regeneration" has reached level 2.]

[You currently have 40 Skill Points left.]

"Damn only level 2 huh," I say as I reflexively look towards the door where I can feel multiple presences approaching.
