Reborn princess: I will change my ill-fate

Black shallow was again trapped in his own train of thoughts about their training days. His own and the days he trained his subordinates. Who, unfortunately made a place inside his heart and now, he couldn't fathom the thought of anyone among them getting hurt.

Olivia's cheerful smile came to his mind as he thought about her. He was reminded of what that little girl went through. He was more attached to her because their past was almost similar and he could see his younger self in her. She is very active among his peers and her death is a huge loss to him. 

He was very fond of her and he would always give smaller tasks for her as she tended to be more clumsy and was prone to create any kind of mess and no matter it was small or big the punishment was same for everyone.

He didn't want to loose her, so he limited or mostly avoided her individual missions.

Death was inevitable, he knew. But, at least he could do something so that his comrades had some longer time to live. He hoped his comrades outlived him. But, the one he cherished a lot was resting for eternity.

Guilt was weighing his heart. He already had so many regrets and guilt to bear and was mostly accustomed to it by now. But, this particular one was causing a lot of pain to him. He was afraid if any other situation like this happens he would not to capable to bear the weight of his own guilt. 

" Only if I was there in city at that time, then Olivia would have been alive today. " He murmured lightly.

Even though Shirley didn't clearly understand what he told, she could decipher that he is feeling guilty and blaming him self for Olivia's death.

" What's the use of thinking 'if' and living in the past only to assume things. Ultimately the reality is to everyone's bare eyes and no one can turn it. It's not like we have the power to rewind the past, " Shirley spoke, sarcasm evident in her tone, staring directly at the person in front. 

If it is normal days, then black shallow of death would have started an argument with Shirley, but right now he is not in the mood to start a bickering and could feel no energy left within his body to bother with anyone.

" If anything, we should focus more on our big boss. What exactly is going on? That b*stard, what is the boss planning now? Why did the boss shifted his target to Aeinshia instead of Andrew Rutz? Aren't we planning it from past six months. Everything would have been a cake walk if we would have proceeded like we assumed. What on entire universe happened that it is changed now? Did the boss get possessed, making changes at last minute? " Shirley added, rage was building up as she spoke the words. 

That's the main reason for her visit, to know why the change in the target and now that topic is a good change of mood to black shallow of death. It's like the saying goes, 'One bird two shots.' Seeing him feel low in spirits made Shirley's heart break.

She maybe heart less and must have killed countless people. But, she always tried to protect the people she loved and adored. If there is anything she doesn't like or seems not appropriate then she would do something to change it, at least by a minute factor. 

That's the reason why black shallow of death always helped her. He knew Shirley always wished his well-being. So to protect her, he often lied to their boss whenever Shirley became a hindrance to complete their mission. He knew his way around and could manage their boss. 

" Evan is in love with Aeinshia, " Black shallow of death replied. He came back to his usual self, being back to his collectiveness.

Shirley is the head maid in duke Rutz mansion, who always observed Aeinshia closely. Only a dummy wouldn't understand how Aeinshia feels about Evan, but now Evan is also reciprocating her feelings, clearly showing they are way close than anyone could expect them to be, which will threaten their plans.

If both are in love with each other, then there is a high possibility that Aeinshia will surely be the empress. If that happens then there is no place for the further execution of the boss's plan, and there is no place for boss, which clearly means that, they are trying to remove the root to cut the tree from growing.

So here, Aeinshia is the root, no nation wants a tainted empress, the empires mother, so by chasing her chastity, it obviously results Aeinshia, who can be a potential empress, to lose her chance to reign over this huge empire, which will give their boss a chance. But, isn't their boss too much to go to such extremes?

" That's not how one plays. She is a little girl. She is barely thirteen, who had been protected like a glass doll by many people. Do you even know how this society words would deepen her wound. You should know mental wound is more unbearable than any physical wound. Even if she loses her chastity, she would end up as a chess piece, which will cut her wound deeper.
