Reborn As A Dragon!?

Chapter 40 - Him

Previously:

*Back with the Heroes*

Around 6 heroes can be seen waking up on the 25th floor of the dungeon of demise.

(Random Classmate 1) - "Ugh, what the hell happened?"

(Random Classmate 2) - "Where am I?"

(Random Classmate 3) - "Who are you?"

(Hina) - "Who... am I?"

*In the Private Prison*

A hero can be seen with dead eyes. He has been locked in here with no hope ever to escape. His old friends never even came for him even though they knew he was imprisoned here.

*step*

(????) - "Hello, you son of a bitch."

*3rd P.O.V.*

(Arthur) - "Damn, Daisuke, you really screwed up the plans I had made. You're so weak that he didn't have much to work with. If only Leo didn't lose to that human boy."

Daisuke slowly widens up his eyes and asks in a dead tone.

(Daisuke) - "W-what a-are you on about bastard?"

(Arthur) - "Do you really think it is a coincidence that the heroes got chosen for a random 'demon' to possess them? *Sigh*, Leo, that moron killing a hero, but it can't be helped. I planned on using you all to take out the only factor that could ruin my plans. That damn dragon."

Arthur then pulls out something from an invisible box that makes Daisuke's eyes widen in shock.

(*Daisuke*) - "He can use space magic? Oh my god..."

Arthur smiles, and all that it is is the head of another Arthur.

('Arthur') - "You see, the king was fairly troublesome, so I had to deal with him."

The 'king's' body starts to melt and grow to show an 8-foot tall archdemon with tribal tattoos over his body.

('Arthur') - "Pleased to make your acquaintance; this one is named Baal, also known as the demon king."

(Daisuke) - "What do you want with me!?"

Ignoring Daisuke's question, Baal asks one of his own.

(Baal) - "Do you know why I am telling you all of this?"

(Daisuke) - "Are you going to kill me?"

(Baal) - "Good guess, but no. Out of all the humans in this kingdom, you have the darkest heart making you my greatest asset. How about I let you out of this blasted place, and you do me a favor."

(Daisuke) - "Go f.u.c.k yourself."

(Baal) - "Oh ho, you got quite the mouth for a child. However, you don't have a choice in the matter."

Baal then tears off the jail bars and places his hand onto Daisuke's head. Naturally, the dungeon is soundproof, so no one from the outside can hear the screams.

On top of the world's highest mountain, a large structure can be seen. Outside, a fairly small blue dragon seems to be flying full speed towards the top.

*knock*

*knock*

(A/N - Who's there?)

(????) - "Enter."

A massive silver dragon can be seen lying down on the floor that is easily twice the size of Alderam.

(???? #2) - "S-sire, did you feel it as well?"

(????) - "Yes... I never thought I would see one in my lifetime. The creation of a God-kin. Only they have access to the power to bend the world to their knees. However, it is faint, meaning that he is inexperienced."

Standing up, the silver dragon dwarfs everything in the building.

(????) - "Where is the being currently at?"

(???? #2) - "It isn't 100% confirmed, but the signal seemed to have come from the Dungeon of Demise."

(????) - "Gather everyone in the throne room. We will go meet him for ourselves."

(???? #2) - "Very well, sire, they will be here within the hour."

Looking up into the air, the silver dragon says to himself...

(*????*) - "Hikari, what the hell have you done?"

He then closes his eyes.

*One Hour Later*

Multiple large dragons are lined up on the throne room's left and right, all standing ready for their leader's orders.

(????) - "Everyone, the birth of a God-kin has been confirmed, and we all will be going to meet this being and exterminate it if necessary. I need everyone to stand ready for what we will face. Hopefully, we will not need all of you here, but it is better to be safe than sorry."

Gasps can be heard around the room as there hasn't been a Divine dragon in tens of thousands of years.

(????) - "Your fears and surprise are understandable, for there hasn't been one in many, many generations, but I believe that he will be the end of the world if left untrained. Hopefully, we will not have to do the unspeakable. If we can manage to get him on our side, it will look like it is time for me to relinquish my title...

*Hikari P.O.V.*

As I play with my adorable little Noodle, I can't help but feel uneasy. I don't know what exactly happened when Alderam found Tiamat, but he definitely used his divine powers.

If I felt it, then 'he' had to feel it as well. I hope that we will never have to run into 'him.' If it really comes down to it, TheLegend27 and I will be able to hold him back, but I don't know if we could actually win in a serious fight.

Even if we run into him and he dares do anything to my Alderam, I'll make him suffer the worst hell on this world. Even if I die trying.

I am broken out of my thoughts when I see my Rammy running around with little Tiamat 'hanging' onto his tail while Yami hangs on his neck.

Little Taiyo is rubbing against me, and I hear Noodle exhaling air in frustration as she can't catch my tail floating moving around her.

Ah, let's have her catch it.

She coils around as she catches it, not letting it go fearing that she will have to float around another 5 minutes.

(Noodle) - "Mommy, I caught it! *squeak*."

(Hikari) - "Awww!"

I won't let anyone get in between my family and me. No matter what it takes.

*Alderam P.O.V.*

Can this little shit stop biting me!?

I've already tried to teach him for a couple of weeks to no avail. It's like he enjoys hurting me or something. He gives me a smirk every time I show and teach him to stop biting me. What's even worse is that he stopped biting Hikari, but not me!

I bet this kid is already smarter than most humans, even though he is a few weeks old!

Three words describe my current thought process.

...

What. The. Hell.

Man, I thought I was the one who was overpowered as shit. A couple of weeks, and he is stupidly smart. Why couldn't I be born with stats like that?

The thing is, since Hikari and I are the strongest beings in the world, there is no real incentive to get stronger. I haven't even had an evolution in a very long time.

*Sigh*, what am I going to do in this world. The only thing I have is family, but becoming a dragon from a human makes me have low patience. Dragons can sleep for years and not bat an eye, but as an ex-human, I'm constantly bored.

Still, I wonder what our last child will be, considering that we have one egg left. Tiamat is progressing faster than everyone in power and intelligence. I wonder what a fully grown divine dragon is like.

Ever since I got back with Tiamat, Hikari has been acting a little...off, I could say. On the outside, she looks like a normal dragon, which is why she is off. She is usually all over me, 24/7 being a complete magnet.

Living with her for years and years will do that to you, and trust me, I've barely made it this far.

I never thought in the tens of years that I have lived that I would become a dragon and end up having a family. This is pretty nice; I'm not going to lie.

*1 Month Later*

Well, Tiamat had his first evolution. Well, he is now a Small Divine Dragon.

It turns out that he has been using me as an exp farm. Every time he bites me, he gains a little bit of exp. This guy's a little monster, but to be fair, I was evolving at an extremely fast rate as well when I was younger.

Even though this guy is a pain in the a.s.s, I'll have to admit that he is rather cute if you exclude the constant chomping and the smirking he does every time he bites me.

Even though he knows that he shouldn't do it, he does it anyway. It's like a dog that you tell not to eat something, and the dog eats it anyway, even if it will get him in trouble.

My thoughts get broken when I feel a large pressure come over me out of nowhere. I swear this little monster is so annoyi--.

I look over at Tiamat, and he looks genuinely frightened, and Hikari looks visibly nervous. What the hell is going on here?

(*Hikari*) - "It's him. This pressure. I would never forget this being's presence."

With a look of seriousness, Hikari looks me dead in the eye.

(Hikari) - "Alderam, I need you to take the kids and get out of here, now."

W-what is she on about? She has never given a look like this ever—one of genuine seriousness. She hasn't called me Alderam since we first met...

(Alderam) - "What the hell is going on, Hikari!?"

(Hikari) - "If you don't get out of here now, you and the kids are going to be in trouble."

(Alderam) - "W-what?"

(Hikari) - "I'm going, to be honest with you, Alderam. You are too weak to face the monster that is headed straight for us."

(Alderam) - "W-who i-is it?"

(Hikari) - "The strongest being in this entire world...the Platinum Dragon Lord Azass."

A man can be seen walking up from the lower floors, and it is none other than the dungeon master, also known as the hero who took down the dragon terrorizing the world.

With a look of seriousness, the Dragonborn looks at Alderam.

(Dragonborn) - "Get out of here now if you want to save you and your children."

Before I can grab the children and our final egg, multiple dragons can be seen crashing through the upper floors.

*CRASH*

Eight medium-sized dragons stand tall, staring straight at Hikari and Alderam.

(Dragon) - "Where is he?"

Tiamat reveals himself staring daggers at the dragons in front of us, confident that he can take a few of them in a fight.

Finally, a large dragon that stands taller than every dragon in the room enters through the previous dragons' hole.

(Azass) - "Ah, so there he is. Hello Hikari, it really has been a while, hasn't it?"

(Hikari) - "I'm only going to say this once...depart."

Tiamat then hides behind Hikari, genuinely scared of the silver behemoth in front of him.

(Azass) - "Hmm, I take it that you must be the new darkness dragon that was spoken about?"

(Alderam) - "And what if I am?"

(Azass) - "I'm disappointed. I thought you would at least be on the level of Hikari to be able to create such a powerful being. Also, Hikari, what if I don't want to?"

[Failed]

(Alderam) - "What!?"

(Azass) - "Well, that was rude little black lizard."

(Hikari) - "I wasn't asking you to leave. I'm telling you to leave."

Azass moves his head to look behind Hikari to see 3 more tiny dragons hiding behind Alderam and Hikari.

(Azass) - "You've got three more, huh?"

With a voice so deep and booming that it put fear into everyone's body. What Hikari said didn't sound like a threat but a reality.

(Hikari) - "I'm going to kill you if you even think about touching anyone here."

(Azass) - "*Sigh*, well, I have no choice but to take him by force then."

(Hikari) - "Alderam, run!"

The kids all hop onto my back, and I grab the egg inside of the scale cloth. I then start to fly out of the hole created by the dragons.

(Azass) - "You six, get him. As for us, Hikari, this isn't the reunion I was hoping for. You two, take care of the Dragonborn. I'll take care of Hikari."

(Dragonborn) - "Well, shit, it looks like I'm up then."

With that, Hikari took the first step.

(End)
