When I stand up, Daisuke is a few feet away from me with a wicked smile on his face. Cracking his knuckles Daisuke says...

('Daisuke') - "I really need to let off some steam. Man, I'm going to enjoy this..."

*3rd P.O.V.*

Both fighters stare each other down as they analyze each other's statistics considering that Leo's punch didn't make a hole in this kid's stomach.

Forcing himself to calm down, Charlie stands up and lets out a relaxed smile.

(Charlie) - "Damn, didn't think someone would get asspulled so soon since coming to this world."

Daisuke's face contorts into a frown.

(Leo) - "I have no idea what you mean by this 'asspull' of yours, but it won't save you."

(Charlie) - "Pftt.."

Leo immediately jumps at Charlie intending to throw a punch but is ultimately caught by Charlie.

(Charlie) - "Don't think this will be a one-sided fight!"

Charlie throws a punch of his own and sends Leo flying through the forest crashing through trees.

(Charlie) - "You may have a higher attack potency, but my defense far makes up for it!"

Leo gets up out of the tree he just crashed into and starts popping his neck with a small bruise-like mark on his upper torso.

(Leo) - "Not bad kid, however, don't think that statistics are everything [Holy Arrow!]"

Leo draws back the compound bow and a magic arrow suddenly forms on the bow. It's shot towards Charlie with a booming sound that shakes the surrounding area.

(Charlie) - "Come on anime knowledge let's go [Weeb Attack #4 - Vector Shield!]"

As the arrow hits its mark, it suddenly bounces back with twice the force straight back at Leo. Leo barely ducks under the arrow before turning around to see a massive explosion.

('Charlie') - "It's nice that I don't have to do any math equations!"

The small air field starts to disintegrate before it vanishes entirely.

('Leo') - "What kind of a skill is that?"

Turning back around, Leo sees Charlie in a peculiar pose with a blueish orb forming between his hands.

(Charlie) - "HAAAAA!"

Leo sets up a cross block before he gets sent flying even further.

('Charlie') - "One would think that this skill is pretty overpowered."

Charlie quickly checks his mana pool...

('Charlie') - "I should've saved those for later. Damnit, why didn't I consider my options before? I should go more close combat to regenerate my mana more."

('Charlie') - "Holy macaroni, I'm getting smarter! Maybe if I think of strategies I can gain more and more intelligence, then I can get a nerdy harem!"

[-10 Intelligence]

Charlie's thoughts are cut short when he receives a hard blow to the head. Leo's fist starts to catch on fire.

[Flame Body!]

Charlie groggily gets up and sees that Leo has a lot of new wounds from his attack earlier.

(Leo) - "You damn brat! [Reinforce Armor], [Lock On], [Mild Cure Wounds]"

The two fighters launch themselves at each other and proceed to trade blows. Leo lands an uppercut that gets countered with a haymaker from Charlie. Blow for blow, neither one of them are giving any leeway towards each other.

(Leo) - "How are you managing to counter me when I have the higher accuracy of the skill [Lock On]?!"

(Charlie) - "Being beaten by a storm dragon over and over again will help you learn a few tricks."

('Leo') - "Without my sword, most of my skills are useless. This kid surpasses me in speed and defense. I'll be in trouble if I don't think of something quick."

The two fighters land a few meters away from each other both with various wounds on their body. However, Charlie doesn't have a high pain tolerance like Leo has and visibly looks weaker.

Leo takes a deep breath before he charges right back into the fray.

They jump at each other to witch they clash fists and blow up a large portion of land.

(Leo) - "[Speed Boost]!"

(Charlie) - "[Dragon's Fist]!"

Leo gets visibly gets faster and matches Charlie's speed while Charlie's attack stat shoots through the roof.

Charlie gets kneed in the c.h.e.s.t and Leo holds his hands together to slam Charlie down onto the ground.

Charlie coughs up some blood as Leo doesn't stop his assault.

However...

Leo feels himself get weaker with every punch he lands on Charlie. He stops before looking at himself and noticing that his body is burning and notices horrible burns appearing on his body.

(Charlie) - "*Cough*, that p-p-pain nullification you have was annoying as shit, so I had to improvise."

Leo's body was giving out on him and the pain nullification was only making him ignore the damage that was being dealt to his body.

Leo falls on the ground when Charlie slowly stands up.

(Charlie) - "F-flame b-body is a really useful skill."

Charlie raises his fist in the air and aims it straight at Leo.

One good fist to the diaphragm is all it took to take Leo's health bar to zero.

Charlie falls onto his back and his eyes start to close when he sees Daisuke's body convulse. A dark entity emerges out of Daisuke's body and disintegrates.

(Charlie) - "[Appraisal]"

(Charlie) - "Heh, who's a weakling now, bitch."

Charlie closes his eyes as he falls into a deep sleep due to magic exhaustion.

*Drurin Empire*

(Arthur) - "You're telling me the entire forest was destroyed!?"

(Farengar) - "Yes, reports say that it was a battle between two powerful magic beasts as no normal human could output that kind of power."

(Arthur) - "Prepare my army of childre... I mean the heroes! I believe that they are ready to face such a foe. They will need to be able to handle this much if they are going to fight the dark beast."

(Farengar) - "Let's just hope that the only beings in this world capable of such power are the darkness dragon and the heroes."

(Arthur) - "Gather the heroes at once."

*10 Minutes Later*

All of the heroes can be seen kneeling in the throne room.

(Arthur) - "Oh heroes, I know we face a dire situation with the disappearance of the man known as Daisuke and the Darkness Beast!"

The heroes twitch at what he said. The death of their comrade and betrayal of Daisuke took a heavy toll on their psyche.

(Arthur) - "There are beings in the forest that were fighting and we want you to investigate it and exterminate whatever caused this disturbance inside of the forest. The Head Knight will fill you in on everything that has transpired over the last few hours."

(Hina) - "To hell with your requests! You act like nothing had happened to us 'heroes' or whatever! Two of our own schoolmates have already died and one is on the loose doing who knows what. I'm done with all of this 'hero' stuff because we are just your pawns."

The other students look at each other and nod in agreement. Most of them don't want to die and sacrifice themselves for an empire that they couldn't give a damn about. The students who thought it was one big dream had a reality check and understood that there was no going home and they were stuck in this hellhole of a world.

One by one, the students got up and left the throne room leaving the King speechless as his powerful pawns are leaving his grasp.

In one final desperate attempt, the king bowed to the students.

(Arthur) - "Please, I beg of you, people of Earth. The Darkness dragon is eviler than you can imagine and will bring destruction to our world whether you want him to or not."

*Back with Alderam*

(Alderam) - "I should probably go outside every now and then. Hikari acts like there is a pandemic outside or something. *whisper* Crazy lady."

(Hikari) - "HMM, What was that you were saying!?"

(Alderam) - "Shit..."

*Drurin Forest Charlie P.O.V.*

I wake up and notice that Daisuke is still there on the ground.

(Charlie) - "[Appraisal]"

I guess being a dragon and a hero has serious healing benefits. I'm surprised Daisuke is still alive after I *ahem* roughed up his body a bit.

Most of the injuries on him have subsided and a lot of his skin is still charred. Eh, he looks like Two-Face but on his entire body.

My level seems to have gone up a bit but I need to find a place to stay before I head out to anywhere new.

I look back at Daisuke and ultimately decide to put him on my shoulder to carry him.

Hey, I'm not a heartless bastard even though I almost killed him. *Grumble*, Man, I really need to get something to eat.

I eventually find a cave and bring us both inside. I grabbed some sticks on the way so a little bit of fire breath can make a nice little campfire.

Starting the fire, I go out and get a couple of dead animals that happened to be collateral in our fight. I start to cook the animals when I see Daisuke's eyes slowly open.

(Charlie) - "So, you're finally awake..."
