As we arrive at a giant mountain, I can't help but have my jaw drop at the sight of a majestic white dragon with elegant wings and... what is wrong with its eyes? Its eyes are furrowed and are shooting a glare at Alderam. I then hear a booming voice that would shatter anyone's' eardrums.

(Hikari) - "ALDERAM, YOU'RE LATE!"

(Parthenia) - "Don't touch mine treasure thou bitch!"

*Charlie P.O.V.*

There couldn't possibly be something more powerful than the darkness dragon Alderam, the evil menace that can destroy entire kingdoms with ease...is what I would've said if I hadn't seen the being that he calls his wife.

Alderam is sitting on two legs and is getting lectured by Hikari. Isn't the dragon god of light supposed to be elegant, holy, and beautiful? That ideology of mine was thrown out of the window. After all this time, I haven't felt closer to death.

(Hikari) - "So, why did you bring this thing back to our home?"

(Parthenia) - "*COUGH* *COUGH*"

(Alderam) - "I found him outside being attacked by undead and wanted to save him and uh...he has potential?"

Why was that a question you jerk? I will be the strongest hero in the world I will have you know.

Hikari looks at me with doubt and asks me.

(Hikari) - "Hey, filthy mortal, tell me how you two met."

(Charlie) - "W-well m-miss, I had injured my knee when I misunderstood his actions and decided to atta-"

Alderam slams his tail on the ground which creates a dust cloud in between us and Hikari. He then looks at me, crosses his arms in an X, and shakes his head side to side mentally saying 'you'll die if you say that'. The dust cloud clears away after Hikari swipes her claws.

(Charlie) - "...and decided to attack the rest of the skeletons to which he was so gracefully nice to help me destroy. I was eternally grateful and amazed at his kindness and great power."

(Hikari) - "He is amazing, isn't he? I love him so much that if anyone were to attempt harm on him, I would slowly kill them making them suffer the worst hell on this land! I have decided to let you stay in our home human. If you go near our eggs or you do something I don't like, you will die, plain and simple."

(Parthenia) - "This is MINE home. Thee three hath decided to just taketh residence without mine permission! Thee now wanteth to add a human into mine home?!"

(Hikari/Alderam) - "Yes."

(Parthenia) - "*Sigh*, Alderam is one strange dragon...but Hikari is freakish."

(Hikari) - "What did you call Alderam!?"

Did she completely ignore the fact that she was called a freak? I think I would have been safer surrounded by a tomb and a forest during the night than with these weirdos. I always thought dragons were giant arrogant beasts that killed everything that bothered them.

(Parthenia) - "Why is this human so weak? In all mine years, I hath never seen one so...pathetic."

Damn, I even get told that I'm useless by dragons as well. I should probably try to get my knee fixed up before I try to train anymore. I'll ask Hikari since she seems to like me at this point.

(Charlie) - "Um, lady Hikari, can you please heal my knee?"

Hikari stops yelling at Parthenia and turns her head to me in a less doubtful look.

(Hikari) - "What do you think of my husband and don't lie to me."

Whats with this question?

(Charlie) - "Truthfully, we were originally told that he was an evil dragon, but he is the kindest, awesome per...being that I have met in my short time in this world. Nobody had shown me as much kindness as Alderam has so I am eternally grateful of him. That is my honest opinion of Alderam."

(Hikari) - "Hmm, very well then. I will grant you a new life."

Huh, new life, what does she mean by that?

I get a warm feeling and then my whole body starts to glow. My knee gets healed and all impurities that were in my body are all gone. I haven't felt this awesome in so long. Even my clothes were cleaned!

(Charlie) - "What spell did you use on me? Was it a type of healing spell?"

(Hikari) - "No, I merely replicated your body in peak condition and threw away your old one. So you should feel like a new person. I even gave you a few things as well."

Threw away my old one? I look over to my left to see a lifeless body that looks just like me.

(Charlie) - "AHHH, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?"

(Hikari) - "I copied everything you were before and created a new one."

Oh man, I technically just died right now, didn't I? If it's a new body then does that mean that my status has changed at all?

Oh god, what the f.u.c.k happened to me.

(Hikari) - "It seems to have worked out well for you. I'm honestly surprised because most wouldn't survive getting a blessing by me, so you got extremely lucky when I gave you a new body as your body could handle the power."

(Charlie) - "What is the worst-case scenario?"

(Hikari) - "The worst case is you can't handle the sudden creation and just die, but that doesn't matter because it didn't happen."

Oh, right, I guess I became friends with the dragon so there is no real point on getting stronger in this world huh? Being an adventurer would be fun though considering that I have the power to be a true hero.

I didn't need to resort to the cliché demon power that is in a lot of isekai novels, but if it doesn't go to one person, it's going to go to another without a doubt. I got to where I am due to me resisting the temptation and not (trying) to cheat my way to the top.

(Hikari) - "Well, we don't need this thing anymore."

She grabs my old, dead body with her teeth and yeets it out of the cave at speeds that I couldn't even fathom to follow.

(Charlie) - "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR!?"

(Hikari) - "What do you mean? It was taking up space in the cave. I was only cleaning up."

God damnit Hikari...

(Parthenia) - "Oh yes, a new dragon. Time to fly young Charlie!"

Oh cool, flight training? I always wanted to learn how to fly. It seems awesome!

(Alderam) - "Wait Parthenia! Let him get accustomed to his body before he starts to fl--"

(Author) - "YEET!"

(Charlie) - "AHHHH, I'M GONNA DIE!"

*Tomb Outside of the Drurin Empire*

In the morning, heroes can be seen walking to the tomb site as they were chatting to one another until they run into a scene they would remember for their entire lives.

There were broken bones outside of the tomb everywhere, a dead body, and a huge imprint of a foot that resembled a dragon's foot.

(Random Student) - "What the hell happened here?"

The students walked over to see who the dead body was. They were all mortified to see that it was none other than the very classmate that they sent off for being incompetent. His sword was next to him and his leg was deformed.

Some vomited at the sight of their dead classmate and some others didn't give a damn about him.

(Head Knight) - "Everyone, we are retreating immediately, we cannot risk the lives of our heroes! We don't know what went on here but it wasn't good.

(Random Student) - "Holy shit, they killed Charlie. Who's to say that we won't be next?"

This served as a reality check as yes, this is all real and you aren't invincible in this world.

*Later in One of the Rooms Daisuke P.O.V.*

(*????*) - "All you need to do is sign the contract."

A scroll drops onto my bed.

(Daisuke) - "So, all I have to do is let you into my body and I will gain power rivaling even the dragons of this world?"

(*????*) - "It's all in the contract"

Contract:

I ____________ hereby agree that in exchange for my body, I will gain strength equal to the Demon's own power. This will include mind and body and _________ will receive darkness and holy techniques. These will be of the A rank or above depending on the skill and may become stronger with the host's affinities. Note: This contract can not be revoked unless both parties agree to make the contract void. With this, __________ will make a contract with the demon Leo.
