Chapter 51.1 : M For M Because M of M Starting From Nine

We, who had formed a party with Mop-san, were headed toward Sasebo city. Naturally, the topic of our conversation was centered around Mop-san, because after all was said and done, he did have the rare job of a tamer. I crushed my growing envy that surged up in my chest to continue to listen to the conversation.

「So you normally store your monster in that capsule?」

「The heck with capsule. Well, it’s indeed the official name, but I’m calling it a P*keball you know」

Oi, stop spouting out the same line as that youth with the electric mouse on his shoulder, who was always saying ,”Let’s have a battle!”. If you really say that out loud, we’re absolutely going to lose in various meaning, you know.

「You were riding a huge wild boar yesterday. It was there in the forest of Okinawa area. How did you tame a monster? 」

Must be by throwing that ball at them right? The mouth of the ball opened the moment it hit and emitting red light from the inside when it was still in the process of binding the monster inside the ball. It’s super scary, in various meaning. [TL : Pok*mon reference]

「Unfortunately not, monster taming is restricted to the exclusive magic of the tamer. After you manage to tame the monster, you can store them inside this ball to be called at any time」

Unfortunate my ass, I’m feeling relieved here. But I really want to see that now.

「Uhm, Mop-san?」

「Uhn, what’s matter Blue-san?」

Aoi-san was talking to him in an awkward manner. It was plain to see that she was nervous.

I was reminded of what Midori-san said: ‘the sight of Aoi-san trying her best to communicate with others is a sight to sore eyes’. I would have thought the same, if only the other party wasn’t a pervert.

「So, does that mean you can tame any kind of monster-san? 」

「No, this abilities has its own restrictions. By now, I’ve confirmed 20 types of restrictions」

「Is that so? Uhm, what kind of monster did you manage to tame aside from wild boar-san? 」

「I have no more than 3 including the new guy that I caught just a while ago. The other two were a bird type monster and a fish type monster.」

Yukihime-san shoulders clearly twitched when she heard those words. I mean, she experienced a throughout nightmarish experience with fish type monsters after she came to this place.

「Want to see them? BEHOLD, THE NAME OF THE MONSTER THAT I TAMED JUST THE OTHER DAY IS――」

「OKAY, THAT’S ENOUGH! R-RATHER, LET’S GO FASTER. At this rate we’re going to arrive at Sasebo by night. Right! 」

She really hates those fishes huh? Well she was screaming like that after all. Could it be that she can’t handle the slimey snake type monsters? I noticed that our encounter rate rose when we entered the forest, but, I’m more anxious about what’s in front of us right now rather than what might happen in the future.

「Stop guys, it’s the enemy!」

Five goblins appeared in front of us, of which one was equipped with a sword and a shield. This one was obviously different from its peers since it wasn’t equiped with the usual club.

「The goblin in the center is a goblin soldier right? Not just its equipment, its HP bar is also a cut above the rest of the normal goblins」

「I see, then first is――」

Though I tried to kill that guy with my gun but he was running faster than gale to Yukihime who was standing by my side.

「UWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA」

The big wild boar (+Mop-san riding on it) was charging towards the flock of goblins, full speed ahead. Deja vu?

The event afterwards was a masterpiece. Mop-san straddled on the back of a big wild bo-No, the big wild boar with Mop-san added on its back, was kicking those goblins around. Especially given its size, it felt like watching monkeys tumbling around a harley.

「This……….. Doesn’t seem like there is any coordination…」

「That’s right. Where it’ll goes next and what it’s going to do next is completely unpredictable」

Despite its appearance, it was just a rampaging monster at the end of the day. To put it bluntly, that boar was just a hindrance since it could wipe out our party too, so rather than a support, it felt like a third party.

「But, we can’t keep going as it is」

Upon a closer look, that wild boar couldn’t make full use of its mobility to get closer to the goblins. Though its strength alone was awas a cut above the rest, there was the problem of how to use that strength to our advantage.

We needed to be careful when aiming at the targets in order not to get overrun by the goblins, who were going to attack. The goblins, whose HP bar took a nosedive due to the rush of the wild boar, were being taken care of by me with head shots and they turned into particles of light one by one.

This party……….. Might have put too much to offense.
