"Who the hell are you?!" The priest was shocked, It wasn't everyday that you saw someone flying in the air after all.

At that, Edam smiled faintly and replied. "Excuse me preacher, do you have time for a sinner?"

"No I don't! give me the girl back!"

"Hey, hey, hey Mr.priest why are you kidnapping this girl ?" Edam said as he glanced at the beautiful girl in his arm. The poor thing went unconscious from shock it seems. "Aiya you're not such a d*ck are you?"

"You need not to know now give her back and tell me who are you!"

Edam seemed to really pondered as he responded with amusement. "Umm...Giving her back is impossible...but who am I...? Hmm... Who know... A random guy, a Marine's captain, or just something like your demise, oh yeah I may even be what you all call your God...?" Edam said with a ridiculing tone.

"Preposterous! Blasphemy! How dare you spout such nonsense! You plebeian who can't recognize the Grand Lord, stay at your place!" He took out a gun out of nowhere, pointed and shoot at Edam.

However, Edam just erected out a golden Vital Shield to block the bullets as they collided against it, leaving some very small crack that quickly disappeared as if nothing had ever happened. The bullets got absorbed in the shield's golden protective layer as if rocks were falling in a pond with "Plop! plop! plop!" sounds.

"...?!" The bishop guy was clearly alarm by this ability.

Edam smirked as he extended his free hand in front of his ċhėst and the bullets in the said layer popped out to float at the center of his palm slowly rotating in it.

"Sigh... shooting at your own God, what an unfaithful disciples..." Edam shook his head with the same ridicule tone in his voice. He tried to copy his grandpa's tone when he said this line.

"Grrr you shut up fu*king heretic!" The bishop raged and pointed his gun again.

Bang! bang! bang!

But the same process happened, and the bullet went in the shield.

"Ah right, as for your bullets take them back..." As he said that the bullets floating and rotating slowly in the palm of his hand began to spin rapidly thanks to a wave of energy guiding it to swirl in it faster and faster till...

The bishop's eyes widened up as he look at his thɨġh as if he was actually seeing a ghost...

"Ahhhhhhh!!!!! My leg!!!!!"

"Wha- ? Eh?" Edam open his eyes wide and then said with surprise. "Why are you crying?No why didn't you dodge this? What a strange guy you are..."

"Arrrghh!!!"

The teenager didn't know what ability the religious guy had and just thought that he knew what Haki was... but it seems that he overestimated his opponent who clearly didn't know the basic notion of Haki or else he wouldn't have stood still like an idiot.

After having been flabbergasted by the bishop's stupidity, he then conjure with his free hand a Heaven's pearl that he used as a Heaven's shackle to bind the guy two legs together while he was suffering and screaming like a slaughtered pig.

And Edam couldn't bother himself to heal or aid him... "Suffer in silence... who did you think you were to sacrifice living beings for God, what a nonsensical practice by the way..."

Bishop would have like to curse at him with all the vocabulary he knew but he was too busy to cry.

Edam then withdrew his shield and slowly float down as he put the young girl on the grassy ground as gently as he could.

After that Shion who had completely failed to capture the guy finally caught up along with Nekoe.

"Captain!" Nekoe shouted with relief in her voice when she saw that the girl was safe.

"...I'm sorry Captain..." Meanwhile Shion was kind of ashamed of himself.

"Well don't be too hard on yourself, It's our first mission after all, mistakes happen..." Edam smiled and brushed the matter off.

"Ye-... Yes..." Shion reluctantly agreed with him.

"Ah umm Captain this guy can pass through anything..." Nekoe said as she look at the guy.

"Oh, so that's why..." Edam finally understood the kidnapper's confidence but alas for the bishop, he met him.

"Alright I get it..."

With a clench of his fist, he empowered his Heaven's pearl with his Armament Haki as the shackles stretches and expand to tightened itself around the bishop's body even more, completely making sure that the guy couldn't move a single limb. The very definition of tight like a sardine yup... and while he was at it he applied a tourniquet to Bishop's bleeding leg, he didn't wanted the guy to die "yet" after all...

Edam then went to the unconscious young girl. "Oyyyy... Do you hear me?" He whispered trying to wake her up slowly, he didn't wanted to deal with a traumatic shock or some shits like that... That would be such a bother to deal with...

"Hmm? A concussion maybe?" He thought as his consciousness swept around her examining the girl, especially her head's area.

"Doesn't seems so..." He then shake her a few times and only then...

Her eyeslashes fluttered slightly as she opened her eyes and bore her eyes into his.

Slap! Swish...

The moment she opened her eyes, her hand made an "automatic gesture" as her hand slapped tore the air to go for his face.

But too bad for her "automatic defense", Edam too had an automatic instinc to dodge and so the slap only brushed a hair of hid by a hair string.

"Whoa hey calm down would you...?" Edam back down a few meters.

"You pervert what do you want?!" She said as she protected her private areas and back off slightly.

'Well nothing at all, what could I even want from a stranger? I mean I've got better things to do than molesting a stranger...' Edam thought quietly but said nothing. It didn't sounded like something to be said out loud, sometimes some thoughts were better to be kept for oneself... yeah...

"Ah hey girl don't misunderstand the captain saved you..." Nekoe explained as she waved her hands in the air.

"That's true..." Shion agreed with her.

"Really? Hmm..." The girl named Nami asked again before looking at Edam but still didn't let her guards down.

"Of course!" They comfirmed themselves.

As for Edam, well he couldn't careless or bother himself about what she thought of him. After all who care about what a stranger think of you right? He just gave a glance at her for a brief instant before he looked in the distance as all his senses sharpened, his Ki and Haki "fused" and he swept his consciousness in the vicinity.

He saw Mickey and Inue battling with their opponents and were helped by Donny. Overall the battle rapidly came to an end, fortunately.

After making sure that there were nothing to surprise him anymore he paused and asked Nekoe the details of what happened on their sides.

At the same time, two feminine voices were heard in the distances.

"Nami ! You're alright?!" A red haired woman and a beautiful blue haired girl ran frantically to hug the one named Nami.

"Nojiko, Bell-mère-san!" Seeing her mother and sisters, the Nami girl couldn't restrain her tears as they streamed down her cheeks.

Seeing this Edam had a somewhat surprised look on his face but then a warm and gentle smile came across his face before he smiled widely and acknowleged their thanks with a nod of his head.

"You're welcome!"

All of them, Nekoe, and Shion included honestly thought that Edam really had a beautiful smile. It was a pity that he would only laughed with his friends or in some rare cases like this...

Uh yeah so 😅 buddies should I change the beginning chapters a bit ? I mean a lot of people don't like the beginning because Edam is too beta or something like that... I have to say that I really don't like those "classifications" but whatever...

So I ask you all who have keep up with this book should I change some chapters?
