One Piece: The Eldest Brother

The sun was slowly setting down as Edam was running at full speed through the woods to the north of Dadan's house. In this deep and dark forest, he seem to be a shadow moving like a ghost, swift and fast.

He did tried to look at Ace's secret place, but he discovered that he moved the money he accumulate to somewhere else.

Not caring about it he continued on his way.

His destination was where every garbages and such were thrown, a place that not even ghosts would want to live. There, diseases and murders were common.

There was nothing there other than bandits, criminals and even pirates sometimes.

It was named "Gray Terminal".

During his scouting of the Area, Edam found the Gray Terminal and tried to go there to see how things were going on there, however he quickly turned around as there wasn't anything that really took his interests.

He really did preferred the dangerous environnement of Mount Colubo, than that filthy place that is Gray Terminal.

What really took his interest was what lied beyond the Wall that separate Gray Terminal from the others.

That was the place where delicious foods were cooked everywhere, a place filled with restaurants of all kinds, however that place was only for wealthy people.

And Edam happened to be someone completely broke without a single coin on him, Garp didn't gave him a single coins and he forgot his own pouch on his grandfather's ship so... going there was not even something to consider.

And after a long reflection (not that much in fact) he decided to become a bandit for a moment to have the money to eat something but he still swore on his grandpa's head that he would only steal bad guys.

Since the day he swore, he took a piece of white clothes to cover his face and then began to steal money from the thiefs that had the bad luck to cross his path.

And then onward began the rumors about a "monkey ghost" who stole the money from those who steal.

The rumors said that it was a monkey because the ghost clearly had a monkey tail.

The monkey had stole the money of every wrongdoers who would cross his way, so much that he became an evil's bane in Gray Terminal.

However what everyone didn't know was that all the money was liquidate in food.

With his multiple months worth of stealing, Edam now knew quite well this filthy place and so he continued to run until he reached it.

Exiting the forest, he was greeted by the now familiar and ever digusting odor of this place and it's however fabulous view.

It was disgusting but still fabulous to see.

He then entered it and tried to search for Luffy by shouting his name " Oyy Luffy where are you ?" , and to prevent the people from connecting him to his alter ego "Monkey ghost" he hid his tail by encircling his waist with it.

He then continue to searched for his seemingly lost brother.

However the polluted fog wasn't helping at all as he was also ambushed by bandits.

After getting rid of them he then continued to search and search again in this vast place without a clue.

He did tried to asked some passerby about Luffy's whereabout, however they clearly didn't like to talked and just told him to" Fuck off " or " Piss off " and insulting every parents he had earning by the way a loving fist like what his grandpa loved to called it without any loved in it to talked about.

He felt that he was going to go crazy if this continue.

In these few months that passed Garp would always come back to help him if necessary.

His grandpa has always told him to never go out in a night of full moon, that he had to wait for him to come back and that if he was to ever break this one rule then he would hurt a lot of people and even his little brother.

This day, Garp who was someone to laugh and smile happily at any possible occasion, wore the most serious face he could make.

Ever since he was told that and after the "first accident", he never dare to disobey this single and simple order of Garp. It was the first time that he was going to transgress this one and only rule he followed all his life.

'Maybe Luffy is already at home and I've just didn't cross his path?' he was trying to reassure himself with some false hopes.

However as he was thinking this he heard two men who were talking " Poor kid, this bluejam guy, Porchemy is really a monster, doing this to a kid." One of the man said with a touch sadness and helplessness in his voice.

"Yeah he really is a scum, and here I thought that I was a scum,but he really is the worst of all." the other one said that too with a hint of sadness.

Hearing them he quickly walked to them and said " Hey guys did you see a kid with a straw hat ?"

Hearing the question the two men eyes shot wide opened while asking " You know him kid ?" One of them said nervously but the two were sweating a bit.

"Yeah he's my brother, so do you know where he is ?" Edam asked hurriedly.

The two looked at him weirdly as they replied by pointing the way they came from.

He was in a hurry to find Luffy, so he just sprint forward while thanking them without noticing that both of them were making a strange face.

" Boy... your brother may be already... dead...." One of them said that in vain as Edam was already too far from them.
