One Piece: The Eldest Brother

*About twenty years in the past.*

"WHAT DID YOU SAY ?!!!" A crazy and yelling Zephyr could be seen, hands on a table and shouting to a Den Den Mushi.

"Si...Sir I said... that your...your wife and... your child were attacked by a pirate b,b,b,but do not worry Sir, they are completely safe !" From his voice the poor soldier was obviously completely scared after all, he was talking to an admiral, one of the greatest military powers that was feared throughout all the seas.

"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING ?!!!" Saying that he had in a fit of anger broke the table.

"You were supposed to watch over them !!!" Zephyr angry like never before.

Even those outside could hear him yelling his lungs out.

For someone as easy going as him to to be angered like that, something really bad should have happened.

"We...we are sorry Sir b,but it happened late in night and everyone were asleep so..."

"..."

"Si...Sir ?"

"..."

After a minute or so of trying to calm down Z finally replied.

"Was it only one pirate... ?"

"No Sir, there were about a dozen of them when we arrived in the house."

"Were any of you injured ?"

"No Sir, b,because...it will sound crazy but when we reached the place, all of them were lying on the ground, uncounscious..."

"Huh...?" Z was obviously stunned and then said " I will come to investigate this right now."

"Per...personally Sir ?!"

" Yes..."

He then hang up the Den Den Mushi and then got out of the office hurriedly to take the fastest ship he could take.

With his autorithy as an admiral, he could easily request a ship with a complete crew to set off without trouble.

After three hours, they finally reach a small island.

Throughout the entire trip, Zephyr would walk from right to left, doing the one hundred steps. His worry and nervous attitude had reach the limit.

And that was completely normal, a pirate tried to murder his wife and his son, who wouldn't be worried and nervous right ?

Anyway, getting off the ship, he rushed to his house.

A lot of soldiers greeted him respectfully as he just gave them a nod and made his way in front of the door. The house was simple, built with woods and could be found anywhere on this island. Nobody would think that this house would be the home of an admiral.

"You're finally here... sob..."

"I...I was...so scared sob...so scared..." Her entire body tremble like a frail leaf as she said that.

"It's all right now... it's all right..." He said that while holding her tightly in his arms and ċȧrėssing gently her back.

Seeing her like that even a big guy like Zephyr let some tears out, as he thanks the Heaven and all the divinities he could think for having had some mercy on his still young and small family.

He then continued to comfort her by carressing her back gently.

After a moment of crying together, his son, Zaph who was sleeping in Rubie's arms a moment ago woke up and rubbed his eyes cutely. When he saw Zephyr he emotionally shouted "Dad !" and then jumped out of his mother's arms to hug his dad.

After hugging his dad little Zaph said.

"Dad ! some bad guys came to bother mother sniff... !" He said sniffing and wiping out his tears.

"Oh, then have you defend her little solider... ?"

"Yes Sir ! I tried to b,but I was too weak and..." As if he was disappoint in himself he lowered his head guiltily as his voice also lowered in sync.

However before he could be truly disappointed in himself, Zephyr rubbed Zaphyr's head while laughing and saying happily "Hahaha, you are truly my Zephyr's son...Hahaha, a true hero indeed, hahaha..." He laughed in a heartfelt voice.

Zaphyr looked up surprised as he thought that his father would be disappoint in him but to his surprised not at all. He had without knowing replied like how they would always played at being a marine.

Even Rubie who was at the side looking at them regain the trace of a smile on her face.

She knew that Zephyr was trying to make them forget this incident for a moment and he seems to have succeded as the dense atmosphere that was present before was now gone in an instant.

"Hehe... that's right you know, your son didn't back down a single bit when he saw those bad guys you know..." Rubie laughed with a faint smile trying to act normal.

"Heeee... my son is already a hero huh...?" Zephyr said proudly.

"Hehehe..." Hearing his parents praising him so much, Zaph somewhat felt shy but a little proud even so.

"That's because I'm your son, Dad Hehe..." Zaph said with a cheeky smile.

Hearing this Zephyr took him and his mother in his arms emotionally while thinking about the fact that he could have lost them this very day.

He really didn't know what he would have done if he had actually lost them today.

Zephyr then took his time with his family even when the Den Den Mushi would ring.

He already knew that it was probably The fleet admiral Kong who was calling him back but he didn't replied. Today he would only hear the call of his wife and his son.

Night quickly fell as they had a sumptuous dinner prepared by Rubie.

After the dinner Zephyr and Rubie made Zaph go to bed as they then sat together on the wooden stairs of their house looking at the stars shining in sky.

Zephyr was embracing Rubie with his huge but warm arms as Rubie cuddle herself in it comfortably.

They were currently talking to each other about yesterday matter.

"So you're saying that the black sphere began to float in the air while shining a golden light ?" Zephyr asked to make sure that he didn't heard wrongly.

"Humm..." She nodded and then continued.

"And...I know that it will sound crazy but I think...I think that I heard the cries of a baby from the sphere before the sphere released a white light that then send the pirates unconscious..." Even she who had witness with her own two eyes was completely confused about what happened.

She would have think that it was a dream if her son wasn't here to comfirm that it wasn't the case.

Zephyr who was listening quietly then smile faintly and said "This isn't really crazy you know... the world is really big and is overflowing with mystery that even our best scientists in the marine struggle to resolve, so maybe the fact that a baby is living inside a sphere isn't really crazy."

"Although even I, have never heard about something like that, it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist right ?" He said while rubbing her cute and small nose.

Rubie who was looking at the stars then gazed at him while pouting and said.

"You don't believe me ?"

"Haah... ?! Who ? Me ? Impossible ! Would I even dare to not believe you ?"

"Is that so...?" She narrowed her eyes as she looked at him.

"Of course !"

They then passed the whole night chatting and joking.

Zephyr was looking with piercing eyes at the beautiful moon hanging in the sky as Rubie had already fell asleep and was resting comfortably in his arms.

'What the hell did you give me Garp...?'

'She heard a baby crying inside ?'

'Does that means that this strange sphere can possibly be open but...how the hell are we supposed to open it when it is as hard as those damn THINGS.'

'Or do we just have to wait for the right time like an egg or something ?'

'I should feel grateful to this thing anyway...'

'I really wonder what will come out of this...is it even human to begin with...?' Looking at the sky he began to ponder about a lot of things.

It is only far later in the far future that he would have his answer but of course, he didn't know that.
