One Piece: The Eldest Brother

Two days passed like that as Edam was bored to death and would miss more and more the joyous atmosphere that his three brothers would always be able to make by messing around.

The next day he decided to head out to take a look outside but everyone was busy running right to left everytime because of a pirate causing trouble somewhere.

Everytime a pirate problem would be solved, another one would pop up from nowhere.

And he did want to help a bit but everyone would say that he was too young and couldn't understand or help in any way possible and so he decided to just observe them.

Pirates were more resilient than ċȯċkroachs and were as numerous as ants.

They really were difficult or even impossible to annihilate completely and so requesting the marines presence at all time to ȧssure the security of innocent people.

It was surely a difficult job to be a marine.

The second day while he strolled around, he saw marines who came back from their mission, crying while being completely in tears and severly injured with blood staining their whole body while they had to carry somethings covered entirely in a white piece of tissue. Obviously they were carrying the dead bodies of their comrade who were now gone.

A rather deep sadness took over Edam when he saw that.

Those soldier fought and died for the sake of their principle as well as to make the world a better place for their loved ones.

And that was something that made Edam respect them a lot.

He too had dear people that he want to protect and he would also do anything for them.

With this in mind he return to his place and continued to train himself.

Days gone by and two weeks passed quickly.

Right now he was training in Shigan. A target that he had painted himself was hanging on a tree before him waving around with the flow of the wind, making the exercise even harder.

He placed his right hand before him while his thumb and middle finger pinch each other as he use it like the sight of a gun.

Having the target in view, he violently and rapidly flick his finger as it made a piercing sound. Something like a bullet gun flew at a high speed toward the target just to miss the target and instead hit the wall behind the tree.

Looking closely, anyone would see that the wall already had a lot of small impacts as if someone had shoot the wall with a gun.

He sighed and said " Haah... I still need to train ! I'm not good enough..." Despite his young age, Edam knew that his strenght was still as small as a drop in the ocean in this world and that he was too weak.

And his grandfather was the proof. During the party for Hina's birthday, He could clearly see that everyone of them was strong, strong enough to beat him easily and rapidly and yet, instinctively he knew that they were still nowhere near Garp's level even though they had the same rank.

He even saw during these two weeks three persons who were apparently above Garp rank but below Sengoku rank and were apparently from what he heard from some normal soldiers the most powerful people that were just below the fleet admiral.

When he saw them, however he still found them to be less threatening than his grandfather. Maybe it was his instincts as a grandson who were talking or his instincts as a monkey ?

Anyway the only one who had about the same type of dreadful aura was Sengoku the fleet admiral. He knew that he was weaker than a lot of people right now and that didn't really bother him... or maybe yes, it did bother him as everytime he would think about the fact that he was weaker than a lot of people, his blood would for an unknown reason boil in excitement as if it was in disaccord with this thruth.

The day he saw the three admirals, he mostly looked at the one in red, at this admiral who for an unknown reason looked at him with a dangerous gaze.

Edam could even feel a lot of hostility even though it was the first time he saw this man.

He really didn't understood what he did to make this man hate him. Did he say something bad about him ? Impossible, he didn't even know who this red man was... Or maybe he looked badly at him in the past ? But that too was impossible as it was the first time he met him and looked at him.

Then the only reason he could think of was that the red man hate him because he had a beast tail...because he was different.

He couldn't think of anything other than that.

The other day he read a book here it was said that humans and non-human people always had some discrimination against each other so... he thought that it was for this reason.

This red man maybe didn't like non-human people and so he showed his dislike by staring at him meaningly.

However when Edam saw him staring at him like that he frown a little but he didn't back down at all and just stare at him too.

And as the red man saw that he began to walk toward him slowly.

The normal soldiers around Edam already saw what was happening and said " Oy kid, don't stare at him like that, he is the admiral Akainu...!" someone murmured in Edam ear but the latter as if hypnotize didn't seemed to hear him and even began to walk forward.

"O-... Oy kid..." The normal soldier said while looking with wide eyes. 'What the hell is this kid doing ?'

Even Akainu who was walking toward him was surprised that he had the guts to advance toward him but he was even more surprised for another thing.

As Edam slowly walked toward Akainu, his eyes were slowly changing from a pure black color to a pale yellow-golden color. Even his pupils shrank like that of a beast as he faced Akainu head on.

"Humph You-..." before he could finished his sentence, his eyes widen down a bit and just said. "Garp you shouldn't leave your anim-... your grandson here. He's bothering everyone !"

Unknowingly Garp was already behind Edam and had a hand on the latter's head as he's smile as usual while saying "Ha ! You're a hundred years too young to teach me anything kid."

"And beside what's the problem, he's a future marine and so have all the rights to visit and explore here."

"Humph, that is if he's still a marine until then." he said with a disdainful look.

"Knowing his father, I'm not sure if-..." He said that as a voice cut in to say " You two that's enough !"

The owner of the voice was Sengoku. It seems that he had finished his work and had a break when he heard the noise.

"Oy Akainu return to your office or wherever you wanted." Sengoku said that while looking at him.

"Humph..." Akainu in response just snort, turn around and walked away.

Sengoku then looked seriously at Garp and said "Oy Garp do me a favor and unclench your fist..."

However the latter who had a fist tightly clench didn't budge a single bit.

Seeing this Sengoku then yelled "GARP ! loose up your damn fist !"

It was only then that Garp loose up his fist and laughed while rubbing the back of his head " Bwahahahaha, I almost mess things up... Thank you Sengoku, Bwahahahaha !"

"Idiot, killing another marine is the worst crime possible..." Sengoku said with a deadpanned expression.

Garp just laugh at that and said " Anyway, Edam come we're going home..." he shook Edam who seemed to dream.

Being shook like that, Edam was apparently stunned and said.

" What the-...what happened ?!"

"Ehhh?! Jii-chan what are you doing here ?"

"You too grandpa Goku why are you here ?"

"Haah ? what are you talking about kid we were here since a moment ago now..." Sengoku said looking at Edam.

"Haah ?!" Completely confused he didn't know what to think of it.

Garp then said "Anyway come we're going home."

"Uh, alright..."

The duo bade their farwell to Sengoku and just trace to their home.
