One Piece: The Eldest Brother

The next morning.

Edam's P.O.V

Opening my eyes, a massive headache overtook me, it took a few seconds for it to fade away.

When I looked around I saw the forest completely devasted. As if it didn't suffice that four kids were messing around by using the forest, now there was even an old monster who was destroying it to teach a lesson to his grandsons. This forest was really pitiful.

Anyway beside me were lying the bodies of my brothers asleep.

They were clearly exhausted from yesterday beating. This evil demon didn't restrain himself when he said that he would beat us up.

As for me even thought I felt earlier a headache, strangely enough my body wasn't in the least exhausted, I even felt better than any other day, in fact I felt amazing.

I think that I quickly found the reason, because it was the only difference from the other days.

In front of me, my unique and super cute tail was back ! Swinging in front of me as if to express my happiness.

I nearly cried out of happiness but I restrain myself as I was respecting the sleeping people.

But one strange point was that my tail wasn't brown like it used to be, it was now black...like completely black!

It was still cute but now it had now a touch of darkness on it... so cool...

I really didn't understand a single thing of what happen. It has never changed color before, even when we pulled it out before.

Even though it was definitely strange, I didn't complain, my tail was back and it was all that matter to me.

I also felt my beast sense returning back to me as the "connection" was "cut off" when my tail was pulled out. I kind of missed this feeling as it was pretty useful when facing enemies that I couldn't see.

They too were having a huge headache as they started to complain while we were going home.

"This shitty gramps really didn't go easy on us !" Ace was the first to complain. He was truly the only one who would dare to say that among us.

"It hurt even though I'm a rubber man." Luffy was mostly wondering how could grandpa hit him and make him cried despite his devil fruit power.

" Your old geezer's really a monster, guys." Sabo who for the first time saw him now understood how terrifying Garp was.

"Yes this shitty old man is a monster if we don't do something we will die before becoming pirates," Ace said while thinking hard of a plan.

"And what do you want to do ?" Edam asked curiously.

" Humm, I don't know yet..." Ace said pondering about a solution.

" Maybe we should run away ?" Sabo suddenly suggest as we all turn toward him.

"That's it !" Ace shouted enlighted by his suggestion.

"Hah...?" They really took me by surprise with this but I just put it at the back of my mind for now.

Having found the solution to his problem we finally reached the house.

We then took a bath and change our clothes with the new ones that Makino-neechan gave us yesterday.

End of P.O.V

As Garp wasn't at home, our group of four mischievious kids decided to do their daily training.

During the training, Edam has finally show what his tail could do. It seemed to be so much more useful than Luffy's devil fruit that the latter was completely jealous of it and cried out " I want a tail too !" " We are brothers but why don't I have a tail too ?!"

In fact even Ace and Sabo found it to be really cool as during the session they couldn't touch him once, even when he had his eyes closed.

The three of them rapidly discovered that it wasn't just Edam's beast sense that made him powerful, it was every of his capabilities that was more powerful than them.

Be it in strenght, speed, or even experience he surpassed them all.

Ace and Sabo were certain that he could face the tiger king alone even at the age of ten.

Both of them knew that they on their own couldn't fight the tiger king on their own, but they firmly believed that Edam could, even though they were the same age.

However the latter didn't really care about it, during this month they found out that Edam didn't care to show that he was the best, as if showing off that he was the best didn't matter to him.

This attitude was completely foreign to them, because if you know that you're the best, you would obviously want to show it right ? But he did not.

Him being stronger didn't really made them jealous, on the contrary they had someone stronger than them just in front of them. They didn't have to search far away to find a worthy opponent.

After all their big bro who was at the moment an unsurpassable wall was standing in front of them waiting quietly.

After the training session they were gone to Gray Terminal to rob some people that deserved to be robbed and then they were gone to hunt some giant wild boars rather deep in the forest.

They could have finished earlier but Edam had suggest to train again Luffy as the latter's aiming precision really sucks. He would always end up hitting himself instead of the target or missed by far.

As the "training" or more like the comedy routine was going on, they were really wondering if this devil fruit really did gave powers or just gave a burden along with the inability to swim as a bonus or what ?

They had been doing this everyday since they began their brotherly journey without a single improvement to be seen.

Or was it just Luffy that didn't know how to properly use it and train it ?

After Luffy's training they then caught their dinner and return back to home.

Edam P.O.V

As the night fell we rapidly reached the house and were unexpectedly greeted with grandpa smiling widely at us.

"You're not gone yet ?!" Ace and Luffy shouted out while Sabo was surprised and frightened.

" What ? You're not happy to see me ?" he said that with an aggrieved expression on his face and started to beat Ace and Luffy.

As for me I finally remembered that I had to go with grandpa. I had so much fun that I have completely forgotten this. What an idiot I was.

I didn't want to leave my three stupids brothers behind but even I knew that I was too dangerous to be left alone like this.

If I an accident like last time were to happened again but without grandpa with me I didn't even to think about it. Too much responsability for me, I didn't wanted a single bit of it.

After they were done with their beating I asked grandpa "We...are we going...now ?" Unknowingly even my tail drop down like wronged dog.

"Yes I can't come to take you at the very end of this month because of my navy's work so..."

He was going to say something else but he noticed my reluctance and sigh, he then took a look at the moon and said "In one week, it will be time, huh."

" Haaaah... alright you have one week before we go..." He said that while sighing helplessly.

' I have left them a month here and they are already inseparable.'

' Shit ! Sengoku will be mad at me...' he thought while sighing and then walked in the house and started to eat and drink.

When I heard him I was so happy. Even Ace & co were happy for me.

To celebrate this "victory" we made our foods with the things we caught earlier and then we were gone to sleep but not for long....
