One Piece: The Eldest Brother

(A/N: Right, I should have say it earlier but I kept forgetting it, I lost my discord account, and I don't plan on retrieving it, its a bother and I'm too busy, that's it, peace)

The sun slowly went up the sky to shine brightly as a new day took place.

And in a humongous palace, in a certain room, a beautiful and slender woman could be seen dressed in her pajamas, sleeping soundly with what looks like a cuddly toy tightly pressed against her generous and blessed ċhėst.

This was, of course, Chibi Edam, he was really sleeping, until this night he didn't even know if he could truly sleep as an avatar but he got his answer this night. And yes he could, he even slept really well. It was mellow and comfy. Yup.

However, he still woke up very early, and despite knowing full well that this wasn't a dream at all, and she really awoke from her deep sleep, he still took a moment to appreciate the sight in front of him.

Even though he was an avatar, his current soul and spirit were still Edam's very own soul and spirit and his love for her was as true as it was boundless.

He was lost in thoughts when a pair of purple-blue eyes brought him back to him as he blinked his clear eyes back at her. "Well slept?"

"Hn…" Hancock replied faintly before giggling slightly. "You're so small, I thought I had a dream…"

Edam was silent for a moment before a smirk appeared on his Chibi face. "So small? You know I have all my true body's memories and I don't recall you ever saying that in the bed… in fact-..."

"You-...!" She blushed a bright red and exclaimed. "Do you have no shame?"

However, his current appearance was so small that one would just laugh at him and it did just that as she giggled at this.

She also got down from the bed as they started their tranquil day.

His current appearance shocked the two sisters and Gloriosa.

And just like that, five months quietly passed with no critical events truly happening.

There were only two small matters worth mentioning though… three in fact…

The first was that…

And she was now even more protected and cared for than ever before.

Her rebellious attitude also changed a bit and became gentler toward everything, becoming extremely motherly. Although, she could still throw a tantrum sometimes, requiring Chibi Edam to calm her down.

As for Chibi Edam, his day was mostly spent entertaining her, the reason for his existence to say so, and sometimes discussing here and there, with Eri for example, who became a very bright child while living here. He still spoke with her to see if she would like to go back to her world, and after a lot of struggles, she decided to give it a try. If for some reason she chose otherwise, they would immediately return back to this world. 

The second noticeable matter was concerning food.

Since his primary source to maintain his body was the very energy permeating the world itself, he didn't need to eat anything at all, which made him feel weird since he was used to always being hungry. 

On the other hand, Hancock was quite hungry. Edam, her sisters, and even herself found out that her appetite had grown exponentially.

The table was always filled with a large amount of food but which also quickly went away and yet… 

Her appetite still didn't diminish in the least…

Hancock's hands were trembling while her eyes were glistening with tears as she looked at Edam. "I… I'm still hungry… I won't become fat right?"

"No… I, I don't want to become fat…" As the number one beauty in the world, and one who was extremely proud of this fact, it would perhaps be shocking enough to kill her off.

(A/N: I have nothing against fat people okay? As one myself, It would be kinda ironic.)

"Pff, haha, love… I don't think you will become fat, and if you're hungry just eat, even if you end up fat, I will kill whoever would dare to laugh at you…" Edam said and laughed in a joking tone although his last line didn't hold an ounce of a joke in it.

But, still, his words didn't manage to soothe her completely as she hesitated a bit. "But… but…"

Saying her hesitation and internal struggle, Chibi Edam gave a faint apologetic smile deciding to use the most useful way to perceive her even though it was kinda shameless.

"Cough… You know, you can't just eat nothing, it won't be good for the growth of the baby…" Edam played his most powerful card right away. 'Sorry, princess, but, it's for your wellbeing…'

At those words, Hancock seemed to have received a small shock as she bit her lips and said reluctantly.

"Ugh, alright… I will eat…" She easily gave up and started to eat till she was full with a reluctant face.

Edam faintly laughed at her current behavior, finding it pretty lovely and enjoying it.

He could feel it very well, as the baby grew, so did the power of the Core.

But, strangely enough, it didn't affect the baby, and the odd thing was that she should be in pain or so, but the Core's entire effect seemed to be absorbed somewhere else. The fifty percent of pain that she should be feeling right now was completely transferred elsewhere, certainly absorbed in its entirety by Edam's main body, using an unknown method.

Hancock herself was pretty aware of the Core's existence by now, but she was kinda quiet about it, never saying anything related to it, but Chibi Edam could still guess that she was frightened by that.

Unfortunately, as a mere Avatar, even if technically he was nearly perfect in body, soul, mind, will, and essence, he couldn't do anything, he could only wait for his main body to come back as quickly as possible. Even Chibi Edam was frustrated at that.

His mission was to make her as happy as possible and avoid any negative thoughts, the reason for his creation and existence.

And there was also a kind of good news or maybe not, it depends on what perspective you look at it.

During the first few months that he awakened… 

Normally, since Amazon lily was far away from everything, away from troubles, Chibi Edam wasn't the kind and didn't have the habit to read the newspaper daily, but that day he was bored and decided to take a look. And as Chibi Edam checked the newspaper of that particular day, he was stunned to see the newspaper front page.

The Straw Hats challenged the World Government! 

Rob Lucci was defeated!

The front page was resumed in a few lines but these were powerful lines there.

Challenging the World? Few people would openly do that, only idiots, ignorants, or powerful people would actually do that.

Anyone could challenge the government but few could resist it, and if challenging the Government was nothing truly impressive to Edam since any idiots could do it, what stunned Edam the most were the people who did it.

If the crew called Straw Hats didn't ring a bell to Edam, the wanted poster depicting the Captain of this crazy crew blew his mind away, instantly recognizing him since it was his dumbass of a little brother!

He still had his wide smile and his small scar under his eyes and that peculiar straw hat given by Shanks.

Fortunately, he wasn't drinking any tea or drinks or he would have spilled it right away.

He then decided to read it entirely, and at the end of it, he didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

He was happy that his brother had set off to live his dream but he was quite worried for him.

From what was said in the newspaper, he could guess that Luffy didn't actually learn the basis of Haki. If not, his battle wouldn't have been so complicated. In this world, Haki was truly a fundamental factor to become a powerhouse.

This truly made him happy to hear about his brother. And it seems like he managed to master his devil fruit, a power that could be deemed as trash for some.

'I expected no less of my little brother, heh…' Edam thought with a proud expression.

But his expression quickly wore off and a

pondering one took place.

"However…" 

His expression became dignified for a moment. "This is not enough…"

The next day, at Water Seven, when the sun was at the highest of the day.

"Shit, the Navy!" A green-haired man covered in bandages and who was walking in the streets noticed a crowd of people and chose to take a peek. But he quickly backs off at the sight of a hundred Navy soldiers walking solemnly in a certain direction.

"F*ck, I have to warn the others!" The green-haired guy said and quickly sprinted in various directions. However, the guy didn't have a good sense of orientation and lost himself a few times.

This being the case, the army of Navy soldiers managed to reach their intended destination.

The man or more like an old man leading the Navy wore the proud cape of a Vice-admiral and also wore on his head a strange dog-like mask. 

The people around have all recognized the Warship in which this man came down and claimed him to be a legendary figure of the Navy, the Hero, Garp.

Indeed, Monkey D. Garp arrived at Water Seven.

As he arrived before an establishment called Galley-La Company, the old man wore a wide smile under his dog mask. 

He tilted his head slightly to the back and said to two young guys. "You two, wait here…"

"Yes sir!" They answered right away and did as they were told.

Garp walked with the same wide smile on the side of the building and stopped right in front of the wall. 

Lifting his fist above his ċhėst, he blew on it softly before grinning widely.

… 

Meanwhile, in the said building, a few people were casually discussing.

A short-haired beautiful woman, another black-haired beauty, a blue-haired pervert in pants, a strange speaking animal, a yellow-haired cook, an old woman as well as two young square-haired women.

It was a strange combination indeed.

In the middle of them was the young captain aka Monkey D. Luffy, who was sleeping soundly on his chair.

And, while all of them were talking, they didn't notice that behind them, a small crack appeared in the void and a small silhouette quietly floated out of it.

It was, of course, Chibi Edam, his tail was quietly waving around as he calmly observed his surroundings. 

"Hmm..." His eyes then settled on the few people here and found them to be quite interesting in their own ways.

Though he also quickly noticed something as he frowned slightly. "Hmm?"

His nose had, against his own will, picked a few familiar living beings' scents. And even though he didn't have a detailed eye memory, he was proud to say he had an excellent nose memory and easily found whose scent he recognized.

Some were in this house but another very familiar scent was right beyond the house.

"Hmm…" Edam pondered for half a second, but the time it took him to recall whose scent it was... "...?! Shit, it's the old-...!"

Boom!

The wall on one part of the house was suddenly blasted to pieces to the surprise and shock of everyone there. "Wha- what the-!?"

The grinning Garp then asked the Straw Hats. "You're the Straw Hats? There are some men here who want to meet Monkey D. Luffy…"

"Tch! The marine? They are already here huh?" The yellow-haired guy and the blue-haired pervert went forward to stand in front of Luffy.

The cloud of dust in the air finally settled down revealing Luffy who was sleeping on his chair, as Garp's gaze spot him.

"Really, just as careless as always…" Saying that the old man totally disappeared from their view and easily bypassed them.

The yellow-haired guy, blue-haired and the deer took a moment to notice that the old man had actually overtaken them by speed.

"...what?!" Both the men and the deer did their best to turn around and catch up but the old man was way too fast for them and already upon their Captain.

With a fist raised, he shouted out. "Wake up!"

And…

BAM! He mercilessly and shamelessly punched down a sleeping man. 

This totally wake up Luffy who cried in pain.

"Ahhh! It hurts! It hurts!" He rubbed his head in pain.

The yellow-haired guy looked ad him strangely. "What are you talking about, you're made of rubber, how can a punch hurt you…?"

"Heh, there's no means to ward off a fist of love…" The old man said as he took off his helmet and smiled widely.

At his sight, Luffy's face turned pale as he gulped down and back off while stuttering.

"G, g, g, g, g, Grandpa?!" His voice was trembling like never before.

"..." This strange information took a moment before reaching the brain of his companion who exclaimed in shock. "...What…?! Your grandpa!?"

"Now, Luffy, don't you think you owe me an explanation?" Garp said with his arms crossed and a stupid smile on his face.

And not just them, Garp's men too didn't have any ideas that their Vice-admiral had a grandson it seems. 

… 

"The Vice-admiral Garp has a grandson?! I didn't know!"

"Yeah me too, what a shock!"

"What are you talking about, of course, he got a grandson, though I didnt know he had a second one…"

"A second one? Do you mean that you know his first one?"

"Of course, we were in the same promotion!" That soldier said with a proud expression and added. "Now that we talk about him, he was truly exceptional. He was recognized by many as the best of our generations, one of the youngest and strongest captain-graded to have existed in the Navy and could have easily been promoted to a Vice-admiral grade and clearly had a chance to compete for the Admiral grade!"

"Really? Totally didn't know of him…"

"Well, he left the Navy shortly after you enrolled in so you couldn't have known him…"

"What? Didn't he have a bright career?"

"Well, some rumors say that he was fired, others say that he resigned because of his love for a woman…" 

"Oh…"

… 

*Back to the House point of view.*

When Nami listened to the whisper of the soldiers and heard the name of this old man, she couldn't help but gasp. "Garp? Garp, isn't that the name of that Marine Hero?"

"Buffy is that truly your-..." Sanji asked and was replied instantly.

"Ye- yeah, he is… don't try to fight him…" Luffy replied to his companions with a somewhat frightened expression. "In the past, he nearly killed me on many occasions…"

"Hey now, don't speak ill of me…" Garp said with a proud and still smiling expression.

"When I toss you into that endless ravine or throw you alone in that jungle or when I tied you to balloons and sent you flying in the sky…" Garp smilingly and then added. 

"All of that was to make you into a strong man!" Garp said proudly.

"..." All of them were either speechless or frightened by this crazy grandpa.

Meanwhile, not so far away, Chini Edam was listening too. 'You crazy gramps, that's not how you're supposed to do things! Though it did work…'

Garp then continued his speech. "In the end, I left you with a close friend to continue your training with Ace… and, while you were out of my sight, this happened, sight…"

"My training was to forge you into a strong marine!" Garp exclaimed with a pissed-off expression.

In a moment of bravery and fervor, Luffy stood up and shouted. "I already told you that I wanted to become a pirate, didn't I?!"

"You were just corrupted by that Red-haired! Nonsense!" Garp scoffed at that.

"I- I owe him my Life! Don't insult him!" Luffy shouted back but was abruptly grabbed by Garp who yelled even louder. 

"Do you mean to tell your grandpa what to do?!" Garp shouted and raised his fist.

"Ahhhhhh! I'm sorry…!"

"Oh no, the Navy caught Luffy!" The small talking deer exclaimed in fear.

"This is bad, if we try to fight them off, they'll all jump on us…" Sanji said, referring to the soldiers behind.

However, as the tension went up a notch…

*Snore…*

"What…?" Everyone in the building was flabbergasted to see not just Luffy but even Garp dozing on the spot without asking anything.

"Huh?" That was the most present expression visible on their faces. "Wh- what should we do?"

"Ah, this is bad, I doze off…" Garp who was still holding onto Luffy woke up and gazed at the latter. 

After glaring at Luffy, he angrily raised his fist and punched down more than once this time.

"How dare you doze off when your grandpa is scolding you…!" And he beat the shit out of him again.

Luffy's companions were exasperated with them both and let them do as they wanted them to.

After beating the shit out of him, Garp let him go and spoke again. "Besides, do you even know what kind of pirate you're trying to defend…?" 

"What? Shanks and the guys? Are they well?" Luffy asked enthusiastically.

"Hmph, more than well, out of the countless pirates in the world, he's ranked in the top four pirates, in the same leagues as Whitebeard, they rule the later half of Grandline as if they were emperors, which is why they are called the Four Emperors…" Garp said and continued with his explanation.

Everyone was very attentive to his words finding them interesting.

They were so immersed in it that they didn't notice a strange little guy pulling his own chair to sit on its edge to listen to the old man's story.

"...It is said that the world will fall apart, that's how large their powers are…" 

"Oh, I didn't get it, but as long as they are fine…" Luffy said and recalled the old good time. 

"Hmph…" Garp snorted slightly and said. "Seriously, you three brothers really give me a headache…"

"Oh? What about Edam-nii, where is he?" Luffy's eyes were full of curiosity as he asked.

"Hmph, that idiot was fired…" Garp said with a vein popping on his forehead, clearly irritated about this matter.

"Wha-? You, you have another older brother?!" Luffy's companions were dumbfounded again.

Hearing what Garp said, Luffy actually wanted to ask something else but a voice suddenly cut in.

"Hey, don't speak like that, gramps…. They are gonna believe I was a bad Navy… and I did a hella good damn work, okay?" Chibi Edam said angrily, furious at his words. It looks like he was corrupted or something.

"..." Garp.

"...?" Luffy tilted his head not recalling who this little guy was.

While the others were all shocked since they don't recall ever inviting this unknown person in. "Who- who the hell are you!?"
