One Piece: The Eldest Brother

"That's the… the Null/Void Realm…?" Gowasu was agitated at this sight.

"The Void Realm?" Edam said curiously. 

"Yes, the Void Realm, it is situated outside of the Multiverse and has the particularity to have an infinite nothingness… That place is unsuitable for growing life, so nobody ever bothered to make it flourish with life…"

"Uh… yeah, I actually know of it, Yamote and I went there a few days ago…" 

"What?" Gowasu exclaimed. "What for?"

It was Yamote who directly answered the old man's question. "Just to sightsee…"

"...?" Then Gowasu saw an immense palace appearing out of nowhere. It was standing on top of an even bigger rock. "A palace? How…?" He muttered in utter shock and disbelief.

However, what drew Gowasu's attention was an unusual golden Kanji written on top of the palace.

And although it was extremely damaged and on the verge of crumbling down, one could still clearly read the Kanji for "Void/Nothing".

"This palace is…" Gowasu was completely puzzled by everything he saw. "It looks… just like...Lord Zen-" He suddenly realized the terrifying thoughts and words he was actually spouting out as he forcefully shut his mouth.

"This… we could still emit some theories, but I wouldn't believe it myself…" Gowasu blankly said with sweat on his forehead.

"Hmm…" In contrast, Edam merely began to reflect on some things before speaking. "Alright, thank you, Lord Gowasu…"

He then took his hands back as the image from the orb disappeared into nothing.

"Lord Gowasu…" Edam calmly spoke.

"Yes?" 

"I think I should return now…" Saying this, Edam bowed his head with a smile. "Master Gowasu, I truly thank you for having taught me so much these last three days, it was an honor to learn from a great supreme Kai like you!"

"My my…" Gowasu smiled and laughed slightly. "It was nothing, truly, in fact, it felt good to have someone new here… and I believe that your presence has also helped Zamasu see mortals in another way, after all, you have lived with them all your life…"

"If you ever need help from me, do tell me, I will help you!" Edam smiled and said straightforwardly.

"Haha, yes yes, I won't miss the opportunity…" Gowasu smiled kindly with his hands behind his back. "Do you need help to go back?"

"It's fine, thank you…" Edam glanced at his shoulders as Yamote came out and stood there. "Right?"

"Yup! No problem, Lord!' Yamote said cheerfully.

Seeing this, Gowasu didn't insist anymore. 

"Alright then, take care of yourself…"

Edam nodded at him before turning toward Zamasu. "..." 

After living three whole days with this guy, although they wouldn't especially chat with each other, he got a hang of his personality as well as his issue with mortals. 

He did want to help him since he didn't seem all that bad at heart… but the heart of a man is extremely complex and could change anytime… what about a deity's heart right…? Without mentioning this guy was already suffering from a God Complex…

"...In my opinion…" Edam slowly spoke. "Not all of humanity should perish… and you should have strived to become a Destroyer instead…"

"What…?!"

"Ahem, anyway… take care…" Edam said and turned around. "Yamote, do your magic…"

And the divine bird did as he was told to and opened a spatial gate out of the void.

"Then, goodbye, see you again...!" Edam waved at them before stepping inside as the gate closed up behind him.

"Well, this young man nearly gave me a few heart attacks some times…" Gowasu said while laughing slightly.

"..." Zamasu merely looked on with a frown. "He was truly strange, yes…"

"Zamasu…?"

"Yes, Master?"

"To tell you the truth… I've accepted to teach him mostly for you to interact with him…"

"...?"

"He seems to have known of his statue for some time now, and yet he could still live with mortals just fine, even finding love in the mortal planes… What an interesting thing..."

"..."

…

*Meanwhile, in One Piece World*

Due to the law of time differing slightly on both sides, one month had already passed in this world since Edam left.

On a bed covered with a very thin sort of golden energy dome which was bursting with life energy, Hancock was peacefully sleeping, when her eyelashes slightly fluttered for a few seconds before calming down…

Near the bed, the small dots of particles floating in the air slowly gathered together to form Edam's exact silhouette and body. It was a clone of energy, a safety measure that Edam left in case something unexpected were to happen, and also a promise made to her to never leave her truly alone even if she was unconscious. 

It was a clone made with all of Edam's knowledge, and with an astronomical amount of vital energy to fuel it, surely enough to raze a country to the ground…

Furthermore, the clone also retained Edam's memories and consciousness and could make some decisions on its own.

"...?" His gaze went on her abdomen as his expression turned into a stunned one.

"It calmed down…?" The clone of energy muttered with clear doubts, unsure of what was happening.

But although he didn't know the details, one thing was sure, the Core had calmed down slightly. 

"Did I finally find something?" The clone asked itself before sighing in relief. "That's good then… I shouldn't waste any more energy than necessary then…"

The clone looked at her with a soft expression before slowly returning to particles of energy.

… 

… 

Meanwhile, back to earth, something was happening.

The time machine was thoroughly repaired as Goku, Vegeta and Trunks climbed into it, while Bulma, little Trunks, and everyone else just watched on for their departure.

They waved their hands as the Time Machine seemed to blink with a "Swing!" And disappeared out of sight.

At the same time, a bit away from there, space seemed to split in two to form a gate as two beings came out of it, Edam and Yamote.

"Phew, we're back in one piece…" Edam heaved a sigh of relief.

Yamote on the other hand just looked at where the Time Machine was previously while the two were finally noticed by Bulma.

"Ah, you're back…" Bulma exclaimed and walked toward them.

"Hmm, someone just left…?" Yamote opened his beak to speak.

"Oh, yeah, Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks just went to the future, you missed them by a hair…"

"What?" Edam was surprised for an instant before sighing. "Too bad, I actually wanted to see that Time Machine at work…"

'Shit, I can't get the super dragon balls-..." Edam thought that his plan was a failure when Yamote interrupted him.

"We can follow them, Lord…" Yamote said out of the blue.

"...You can…? How…?" Edam was stunned for a moment. 

"Yes, I can, although I don't have my brother's power of Time, we are still birds of the same flock, I can use my power, but we ain't got a lot of time, we've got to pass through the time hole while it's still fresh…or even I won't be able to open another one..."

"Huh? What? Why would you want to go to the future?" Bulma asked in bewilderment.

"Uh, well, since waiting nearly a year is too much for me, I thought that I could maybe travel to the future and get my wish to come true to end this once and for all…" Edam shamelessly explained his plan.

Bulma raised her eyebrows, a little surprised but then said.

"Well, this is not a bad idea, but it might be dangerous, this Goku Black is not a joke at all, you will have to be careful, Edam..." Bulma said seriously.

"Of course…" 

"If you're confident, then, I won't hold you back, go ahead…" Bulma shrugged her shoulders.

"Thanks…" Edam smiled and thanked her. "Yamote, let's go then…"

Yamote nodded and flapped his wings forward as the same kind of portal which brought Black Goku here appeared again. The difference though was that this one seemed a lot more unstable than the last.

Without further ado, Edam and Yamote hurriedly jumped in.

… 

Meanwhile, twenty years in the future, in a ruined city, a portal suddenly opened as Edam walked out. "Wow, time-traveling is stomach shaking…"

"Well, yes…" Yamote said before looking around and saying. "Phew, lucky us, we should be an hour or so behind them in time…"

And as he lifted his head, he saw the devastated city, with not a single living being to greet him. Even with his spirit sense, he didn't detect any human beings even around a kilometer away. 

"..." It was not the first time he saw this kind of sight, so he didn't say anything and just observed his surroundings for a few seconds before floating in the air.

And as he flew up, he looked in one direction.

There, he felt two oppressive ki, one malevolent and another savage and furious clashing against one another.

"They have already started…" Yamote commented quietly.

"Super Saiyans…" Edam mumbled and then expanded his sense toward the fight to have a clear look. 

"It's Vegeta…" The latter was currently transformed into his Super Saiyan form as he fiercely fought against Goku Black who also had the peculiar blonde hair of a regular super Saiyan. 

However, the difference in their power was like heaven and earth. Vegeta clearly had the advantage as his Super Saiyan power slowly crushed Black.

"The hell…" Edam's face twitched as he observed the fight. 

In contrast, this fight was making his blood boil as his heartbeats went faster, nearly as much as when he would do naughty stuff with Hancock. 

''Ahem, well… he's winning… they don't need help it seems…" Seeing that, Edam pondered before taking a table, a keyboard, a mouse, and an orb out of the void.

Looking at this set of items, a smile couldn't help but make its way onto his face.

He discovered those in the three days spent with Gowasu and Zamasu and were the items that he truly wanted to put his hands on…!

It was the sacred items needed to surf on Godtube! The videos and content sharing service where Gods can watch, like, share, comment, and upload their own contents and videos!

He had already had a small taste of this thing in All Might Toshinori's home planet where it was simply called Youtube, and he had really appreciated this service at the time.

Godtube had the same features, except that the scale of it was Multiversal.

Literally, everything interesting that a God had seen and had record could be put on it, although there were limits to it, as some contents had to be checked by the Godtube's Managers before being posted on the God Multi-net. 

(A/N: the Godtube managers and God multi-net is a bs of mine, it doesn't exist as far as I know but the Godtube thingy does exist in the manga…)

And, anyway, after seeing his love for this, Gowasu created one personal set for him. It would be the first time he would use it.

"Hmm, let's see… this is a divine item, surely it would 'connect' right?" Edam said full of hope.

And nearly immediately, the orb seemed to react and lit up, showing a sort of screen.

"Good…" Edam smiled.

A research bar appeared and waited for him to type down his research.

"Alright, let's not delay any longer…" Edam mumbled and then typed down. [Super Dragon Balls' location?]

Seven different images of the Super Dragon Balls did appear but Edam frowned slightly as it says… 

[Super Dragon Balls' previous location: etc…]

And then immediately says… 

[Super Dragon Balls' current location: Error 404…]

"Hmm? Is it because of the time difference or something?" Edam pondered in disappointment, truly disappointed with this but then thought…

"Wait, let's try it again one more time before concluding…"

[Where is Supreme Kai Gowasu?]

And just like the previous results, it says…

[Supreme Kai Gowasu's previous location: 10th Universe's Realm of the Gods.]

[Supreme Kai Gowasu's current location: Error 404]

Looking at this, Edam's frown further deepened as he typed down on his keyboard a few more times.

A few minutes later, after having done his research, his frown had only deepened.

After having typed down a few more names, the only ones that were still working were the mortal ones while most of the Gods' names only show their previous activities while showing nothing of their current situations and that was true for every god that Edam ever came in contact with.

Even the mighty Beerus was shown as Error 404…

Only when asking for Zeno, or the Grand Priest would the orb not react at all, but that was actually the most normal reaction that he got since the beginning...

And well, all this actually led Edam to one rather dreadful conclusion, that the Gods of this timeline are dead… 

He then typed down one last name and found what he wanted as he scrolled down the screen which showed a certain person.

"I see…" As he finished watching what he wanted, Edam sighed a bit, his screen showing one name. [Zamasu.]

However, 

BOOM! Rumble…!

As he was deep in thoughts, a loud explosion brought him back to reality.

"...?" Looking at the two Saiyan's fight, it seems to be near its end. Goku Black was exhausted and injured while Vegeta was completely fine with not a single scratch on him.

And the worst was when Vegeta actually powered up even more by unleashing and covering himself with an oppressive blue divine aura!

"Godly Ki…" Edam noted calmly. Having spent three days with two deities, his senses had further developed themselves and could now clearly point out mortal and godly ki from each other. 

"So this is the Super Saiyan Blue…" Seeing it face to face was truly different from watching it in a video. 

The pressure felt was unprecedented and truly something that one would call a divine pressure as if they were existing and fighting in another plane of existence.

Fortunately, only god-level warriors could sense this kind of aura or else… mortals would feel traumatized for the rest of their lives.

What happened next was simply bullying…

Zamasu or Black then started to emotionally speak of his ideals for eliminating mortals, and with the way he was being beaten up, it almost seemed like he was actually the good guy here and Vegeta was the bad guy…

His reason for eliminating mortals was simple… Mortals are parasites and the true evil of this World…

And while Edam could have agreed to some parts from personal experience in his own world, there were just some parts of his ideas that he just couldn't agree on...

In normal times, Edam couldn't stand the bullying of the weak, but in this case… no protection for extremist guys like that…

And also, stopping someone from fighting is rude and he knew it. That would only enrage Vegeta.

The bullying was coming to an end as Vegeta decided to finish him off.

He threw both of his arms open, hands held vertically and fingers wide while gathering ki. Then he straightens his arms to the front, forming a sphere of energy in the space between the palms of each hand that emits sporadic bolts of electric yellow ki that shoot out in all directions. 

"Final Flash!!!" 

Finally, Vegeta discharges a massive golden beam of energy with electric ki streaming around it towards his opponent.

'Final Flash!' Edam thought and looked on as such a cool and badass ki blast attack launched forward was gonna get rid of the guy... 

Since Goku's Kamehameha, this Final Flash was the coolest attack he saw at work since he came on this Side.

And so, he made sure to remember every detail of this technique, shamelessly stealing Vegeta's technique unknowingly to the latter!

But…

Goku Black suddenly disappeared out of sight…

He was saved by someone…
