One Piece: The Eldest Brother

"Phew…" Edam heaved a sigh as he gazed at the city standing in the distance.

"Eh?" An old and somehow fat farmer who was doing his job suddenly lifted his head and asked in surprise.

"Hey, young man, what are you doing in these fields, are you lost…?" The farmer walked toward Edam with his pickaxe and asked with suspicion in his eyes. A lot of robbers have been wandering around nowadays.

"...?" Looking at him, Edam was quite surprised to see this human but shook his head, before turning in his direction and asking politely. "Hello, sir, I'm kinda lost, do you know where West City is…?"

The farmer was quite stunned as he slightly relaxed his grasp on his pickaxe.

"Oh, you're not from here aren't you?"

"Uh, yeah I'm not…"

"Well, you're lucky, West City is the huge city over there…" The farmer pointed at the city far away.

"Oh, and do you perhaps know where the Capsule Corporation is?" He asks with hesitation.

"Whoa, what do you want with the richest people of this city? I warn you, they are not gonna lend you a single coin…"

"...and have you ever seen a sort of dragon coming from this Capsule Corporation?"

"What? Why do you want to know that, you're truly strange…" The man backed off warily, feeling something wrong with this young man...

Edam thought about it for an instant before shaking his head "Umm, never mind…"

Saying this, he flashed in front of the farmer like a ghost, held his shoulder, and put a finger on his forehead.

"Sorry…" Edam closed his eyes and invaded his memories, focusing solely on a dragon. Zuno told him to look for the Brief family as they were the ones who could help him.

A few breaths later, he found what he was looking for as his eyes snapped open and he swiftly flew toward this huge city.

Extremely high up in the sky, a sort of enormous platform was quietly floating there.

"This young man possesses a strange and tremendous Ki…"

"That's bad, he's heading right toward Bulma's house, what does he want with her…?"

"Either he wants to speak with Vegeta, or he wants the dragon balls…"

"I will go see what he wants…" Saying this, one of the green guys' bodies flared up with energy and he disappeared out of sight.

Half an hour later, Edam found himself in front of an immense dome-shaped building with the inscription for Capsule Corp written on it.

Entering inside he saw a female secretary who greets him. 

"Hello? Can I help you?" The secretary at first lifted her eyes with no enthusiasm but then saw that it was a quite good-looking young man.

"Hello, can I know where to find Professor Brief?" From the memories of the farmer and Zuno's information, this professor was a celebrity.

"Ah, I'm sorry, I cannot let you meet the professor just like that, we will have to schedule you an appointment…" 

"I just need to ask a few things, it won't be long…" Edam tried to convince her but…

"Sigh, I'm sorry, mister but I'll be fired if I don't do my job right, please understand alright?"

"But-..." Edam was gonna try once again and even read her mind when he suddenly heard Yamote and also sensed something approaching his position at top speed.

He made his way outside and gazed into the sky as he saw some silhouettes flying the same way he does with Ki.

There was a shaved head guy along with a cold but beautiful blonde-haired girl holding a child in her arms.

The two of them were all but ordinary, especially the blonde-haired woman. A cold and frightening feeling seemed to emanate from her when Edam's eyes fell on her, reminding him of Hancock's behavior when she would face others sometimes, cold and indifferent, and at other times, gentle and loving.

"This girl could be dangerous…" Unlike the guy beside her, she was also giving another familiar feeling… Killing intent...

"Hey, friend, would you speak a few words with us?" The guy with a shaved head asked with a careful smile. It was very strange that this guy didn't have a nose to speak of.

"No thanks, I'm busy…" Edam frowned and said quietly and turned around to go.

"Wait, you're a Saiyan aren't you?"

"..." Edam faced him again and asked with a tint of curiosity. "Yeah and what do you want with me?"

"I… I just want to know what you're doing here that's all…"

"I have no business with you…"

"Yeah, but, we have very few good memories with Saiyans and strangers from space here so…" The guy wore a self-deprecating tone as he spoke.

Edam quickly pondered over something and responded. "Fine, maybe you could help me. I'm searching for the Super Dragon Balls, and I heard that the people from earth knew how to find them…"

"Wha- why do you want them…?"

"That's not your problem…" Edam replied in a dry tone before a new voice sounded out of nowhere. 

"It is our problem…" The newcomer was a tall and green-skinned guy. He wears purple clothes along with a cape and a white turban.

'This is a namekian, master…'

"Ah, Piccolo, you came too?" The bald guy asked in surprise.

"If it were just about the dragon balls, we could still negotiate but it is out of the question to tell him about the Super Dragon Balls, their powers are way too dangerous…" The green guy named Piccolo asked nervously with a hostile expression.

He knew just how much these super dragon balls could be dangerous since he had once created a similar set, albeit much weaker. To his knowledge, their powers were indeed infinite and boundless.

"So, tell me what you plan to do with them, Saiyan, we can't just give them to you…"

"... A pity, only they can grant my wish... I want these super wishing orbs, and I will get them, namekian…" Edam looked at him and uttered quietly.

"Good…" The Piccolo guy smiled and took his white turban and white cape off before taking a fighting stance.

"I did want to fight someone, I'm rusty, and a Saiyan is perfect for this job…!" Saying this Piccolo's body exploded with Ki as he rushed forward, quickly reaching Edam and sending a powerful punch to his face.

Swish!

"..." A frown instantly made its way on the young Saiyan's face as he instinctively lifted his forearm to block his punch.

Boom! Swoosh!

Bam! Bam! Bam!

His body smashed into the various trees that were surrounding the various buildings of this Capsule Corp.

However, to Piccolo's surprise, Edam walked back and only patted his clothes that were filled with dust. He wasn't harmed in the slightest and was quite calm for someone who was just sent flying.

"...that's interesting…" It was the first time he ever battled another Ki user in his life and the sensation was rather strange. 

His heart, which had in the few years that passed stopped feeling any excitement when fighting another being, seemed to pulse out happily and excitedly, heating his blood that hadn't boiled in excitement for way too long. He had missed this feeling.

Seeing that he was perfectly fine, Piccolo snorted and flashed forward once more like an arrow.

In contrast, Edam's lips cracked into a faint and near indiscernible smile formed on Edam's face and a vein popped up on his forehead as his Ki burst out a fierce and fiery blood-red aura. 

"What?!" Piccolo's eyes widened in shock.

A wave of oppressive and heavy energy smashed onto the approaching Namekian and slowly stopped him in his tracks before pushing him back violently.

"Tch…!" Once again, Piccolo's body wrapped itself in Ki and pushed Edam's blood-red ki back with relative ease.

As he had kept Edam in his sight he saw the latter's Ki explode as he shot in his direction like a bolt of lightning.

But, the namekian wasn't someone to take lightly as he also shot forward and punched out.

Edam did the same as their fists violently connected and…

Boom! The aftershock sent a repulsive force that blew the air like a hurricane.

"Not bad!" Piccolo smiled before retreating five meters backward as his hands glowed with light, and he fired several energy spheres randomly in Edam's direction, seemingly disregarding accuracy and with no intent on hitting Edam.

"...?" Edam looked at the sphere suspended all around him. "A trap…?"

He at first thought that this Piccolo wanted to trap him but looking at the latter, his grin was way too devil-like to be as simple as a trap.

"Not a trap, a hell zone…!" With this, Piccolo waved his two hands, as the sphere turned purple and they all started to randomly spin around Edam.

Inevitably, one of the spheres rushed toward Edam, who simply dodged it with a slight move of his head.

But then a second came, and then a third, a fourth, and so on, rapidly forming a dome all around Edam who kept dodging every sphere. His tail was twitching every time to give a signal of some sort.

Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish!

"Heh, you know how to dodge…" Piccolo smiled and remarked.

However, while he was easily dodging at the start, the dome was also becoming shorter and tighter allowing fewer and fewer movements.

The moment Edam couldn't dodge anymore, space started to wrap as his body seemed to disappear in the void and reappeared right by Piccolo's side who didn't have the time to comprehend nor dodge Edam's powerful punch in his stomach.

"Blurgh! Wha-?! How did you…?!" Piccolo stared at Edam with shock, pain, and confusion in his eyes as his right palm shot a ki blast but was merely dodged by Edam with a slight move of the head.

"..." However instead of replying Edam performed an uppercut using the same hand he used to punch his stomach as Piccolo flew to the sky like a broken cat.

"Gaah!!!"

Edam shot up to the sky and with no hesitation at all, he made a downward crushing foot attack on Piccolo's shocked face as they both reached the ground like two streaking meteorites.

BOOM! The ground cracked and was shattered like a biscuit, forming an immense crater in the garden.

"Piccolo!" The bald guy cried out worriedly and ran to check on his friend but…

To his shock, he saw his namekian friend who was, although not the strongest in the universe but surely the most powerful of his kind, on the ground…  His head was being held and shoved on the ground by Edam's foot.

"Tell me how to get the wishing orbs and I will let you go…" The young Saiyan's eyes glowed a cold light as he asked.

"Go to hell…!"
