One Piece: The Eldest Brother

When "Mindless Edam" heard this voice, his eyes opened wide and a stunned expression was plastered on his face.

It was really faint but if someone was to take a good look they would have seen Mindless Edam's body tremble for a second before returning to normal.

He turned around and saw a face that even in an unconscious state still frightened him to this day, that was the face of his grandpa, Garp.

Edam's clothes were torn a bit and stained with a lot of blood on it.

In this already dark forest, his two eyes were shining a bloodthirsty light while a faint but particular blood colored smokes was coming out of him. He did looked menacing like a demon.

Currently if someone were to said that, what was in front was a devil, nobody would disagree with him.

Looking at him, Garp said " Well, you're really not greeting your grandpa Edam ?" he said with a big grin on his face.

In response Mindless Edam growl at Garp like a mad beast while he pounce on him to tried to kill his grandpa.

Seeing this Garp just grin and said " it seems like, I will have to teach you a lesson again, Bwahaha...." he laughed while dodging the attack and just disappear to appear right behind Edam and threw his famous loving fist.

However...

This really took Garp by surprise and stunned him for a moment as Edam took this rare occasion to spin around abruptly and punched him on his face. As Garp was in mid air, he was easily send flying on a nearby tree making the tree destroyed again.

When he stood up on his feet, Garp wore an incredulous face when he looked at Edam.

It seems like he was more shocked than wounded.

In fact he really didn't had an injury on him, it was mostly dust that was covering him.

If Edam was conscious and could see himself like that he too would be shocked as that was his relatively new ability he learned in those few months, his beast sense.

He then saw Edam stand there with his eyes closed.

"Ehh? Did someone teach you the Observation Haki ?"

"How is this possible, there's not a single person I know on this Island that has this Haki."

He was indeed shocked but he quickly burst into laugh as he remembered that Edam was not exactly human.

"Bwuahahaha, you really grew up, it seems like you've improved again isn't it, bwuahaha..."

While he was laughing hard, Edam launched on him again while sending him a lot of punch and leg's attack.

However Garp avoid and blocked all of his move easily without breaking a sweat, as if this was only a walk in the park even when a single move of Edam could ripped to shreds a whole tree.

It didn't matter if Edam was feigning some moves or not they were easily avoid and blocked.

The reason that Edam managed to send him fly away earlier was only because Garp was in mid air and was stunned by Edam's feat of dodging his punch.

One has to know that not anyone could dodge this punch of his, even great pirates were still fearful of his punch to this day.

He was known to be a Demon for anyone who were roaming across the seas with a pirate's flag on their ship and that was not without a reason.

Althought, he was going easy on Edam and didn't get serious, that was still an achievement to be proud of, even though Edam would probably not remember a single things of what happened here.

As he was evading Edam's punches, he slowly began to retaliate as he send one punch, two punchs, three punchs and so on.

It did began to look like a real fight with two fighters except that only one side was being beaten up and that the height of the two fighter were clearly disproportionated as Edam was only one meter and sixty tall while Garp was two meter and eighty seven tall.

Edam was so small in comparison that he had to jump everytime he was punching him.

This scene would have made laughed a lot of people if it was only that, but everytime Edam punched, his fists were slowly speeding up a bit more than the last time they strokes.

Even the strenght he was putting in it was slowly rising.

The improvement was almost imperceptible for the others but not for Garp as he was the one to take him head on.

Each time Edam sent a punch, a wave of wind would brush past Garp's cheeks as he dodge it.

Without stating the fact that every punches he send were filled with the intent to murder someone.

Seeing this, Garp began to wonder who had angered his grandson so much.

Usually, it was Edam who was the most serene, peaceful and quiet among his grandsons, few things could make him lose his calm, even when he was pressured he would stay calm.

Normally even in a night of full moon, Garp would only feel from Edam the intent to destroy but not the intent to murder.

However tonight, Garp felt from his grandson an irrepressible urge to kill, meaning that something terrible should have happened to him.

He knew that this intent was amplified by the moon but he was still a little bit stunned.

With those thoughts in mind he decided to finished the battle quickly.

He shoot forward like a canon ball to Edam while shouting " it's time to sleep, EDAM !" he then threw a big love fist on Edam's right cheek making him fly like a broken cat.

Edam's beast sense had clearly sense this danger and had already warned him, but his small body couldn't keep up with Garp's speed.

"Fuuuuh... You kids are really giving me more trouble as you grow up, haaah." he said sighing a little and taking a deep breathe.

He then started walking to Edam to pick him up as he thought that he was down.

He knew that he was special and so he had gone relatively strong with this punch but who knew that it wouldn't be enought to make him sleep.

Indeed as he was walking toward him he noticed that Edam was on his back and looking at the sky as if he was hypnotize by it.

" Shit, this didn't took him down..."

"Haah...I guess I've no choices but to totally beat the shit out of him again... huh ?"

As he said that, Edam who was lying on the ground, began twitch weirdly, his body was pounding as if to followed the rythms of his beating heart. The pounding sound was so loud that you could hear it even from a ten meters distance. His tail was swinging in the air as if it was excited by something.

He was even growling a bit with a " GWAH GAWG GWHA" sound.

Slowly the beating started to accelerate as his heart seemed to pumped his blood faster and stronger, veins started to emerged on his small body and his muscles expanded a lot while a brown fur began to grow on him.

When he saw this, Garp wasn't surprised at all, he was used to this sight as he saw this for ten years old already.

However the following scene took him by surprised because...

Edam began to grow quickly like it should have occured but when he reached two meters or so, he suddenly stopped growing as if he had reached his maximum size.

However Garp knew exactly how it should have been, Edam should have grown into a giant monster ape that would then tried to destroyed everythings before him, yet today for an unknown reasons, Edam didn't turned into it.

Edam who had seemingly grew up stood there with his head a little down.

However what Garp has noticed was that Edam's face that was once rather handsome for a kid was now nowhere to be seen, and was instead replaced by the beastly face of the monster ape.

His fur has stopped growing at the base of his abdomen and his pectoral ċhėst.

They were pulsating and switching between a blood red colored and a golden colored fur, the former color really looked bloodthirsty while the latter looked to be holy.

It was weird to see two different colors that everything opposed being on the same person.

When Garp saw this peculiar sight he asked not really hoping for an answer.

"Edam ?"

He then saw Edam lifting his eyes to looked at him. His eyes that were earlier blood red colored were now paled yellow.

They weren't displaying their bloodthirsty intent like they were used to earlier but more like something mad and crazy, as if there has been a problem during his transformation and that just drove him mad.

"Oy Ed-..." He had wanted to call him out but before he could a hand had gripped his head and threw him away.

He didn't crash down as he didn't understimated him this time, yet this move really dumbfounded him as Edam's existence that he could feel with his Observation Haki has disappear for a second as if he had gone out of existence one instant before reappearing again but in front of him.

It was as if Edam has fused with the environment that was surrounding them.

When he lifted his head to see where he was, he saw on the corner of his eyes a punch that was coming his way.

He avoid it narrowingly as it brushed past his cheeks.

The power of this fist was devastating as the pressure of the punch has destroyed a lot of trees.

"Hehe, take this, you unfilial grandson !" Garp grinned excitedly.

"BAM...!"

He countered Edam's punch with his own loving punch and send him flying away.

Edam who was still flying tried to stabilized himself but before he could Garp was already above him sending another punch that made him crashed down.

"Crack...!"

The impact had made a huge crater on the ground.

Seeing him still trying to get up, Garp who was beginning to be fed up send one last punch while shouting.

"That's it, you pissed me off, YOU GO TO SLEEP NOW!!!"
