Oath of Love

Chapter 58

After lunch, An Ran read for a while in bed and then fell asleep. This easy life was like a dream but could certainly weaken people’s wills.

An Ran remained in bed for a while after she woke up. Then she forced herself to cheer up and asked Sister Rong to dress her up.

Sister Rong had new clothes sent to her. No. To be concise, Ye Chengwei had asked her to send a new gown for the dinner tonight.

It was white and bright artificial diamonds dangling from its hemline. The style was simple but the craft and textile were both the best. It looked expensive for its simplicity.

An Ran put it on and the dress made her look more slender. Her long hair was set on her back.

Ye Chengwei did have a taste of clothes.

He must have accumulated the experience from other girls. An Ran thought to herself.

From its tag An Ran learned that this little dress cost more than 100k, which shocked her. Did she have to wear such an expensive gown? It was just a dinner and it wasn’t made of gold.

An Ran felt uneasy all of a sudden.

Sister Rong chose a silver handbag for her out of many designer bags of hers. It was tiny and delicate. With it in hand, An Ran instantly looked like a lady.

She looked even better in a pair of high-heels of the same color.

“You are so beautiful with no makeup on, Miss An.” Sister Rong said. “But the light would be dim in the evening. Let me make you a night makeup, so you wouldn’t look so pale.”

“Ok.”

An Ran sat in front of the dressing mirror. Sister Rong was trained before, so she was also good at makeup. She just emphasized An Ran’s eyes to make her big eyes more attractive.

Her hair was made into big curls by Sister Rong and was let down on her shoulders freely. She looked fresh and beautiful. An Ran felt very content and couldn’t help thinking the job of a senior housekeeper was not easy as she had to be capable of everything.

Zhang picked An Ran up at 5 o’clock sharp and sent her to Upper Island Restaurant.

Lamps had just been on and neons shone. A City looked prosperous.

After she said the name of Ye Chengwei, the waiter led her to a large box.

There was a long table in it, which looked very grandeur in the light. Ye Chengwei looked like a noble prince in a tidy and clean shirt.

The waiter pulled a chair for An Ran. She was a few meters away from him.

Wasn’t it interesting to eat like this? Didn’t they have to yell at each other?

Ye Chengwei looked at An Ran and didn’t say a thing. An Ran didn’t talk either. But his eyes were full of light. He might think she was pretty today.

Until someone knocked on the door. Ye Chengwei said, “Come in, please.”

The door was opened. A large bunch of red roses were seen on a cart. There were dews on the petals, shining like diamonds in the light.

The waiter was about to send the cart to An Ran when Ye Chengwei called him, “Wait a second.”

He got up and walked to it gracefully. He took the flowers on the cart and turned over to smile at An Ran.

An Ran felt dazzled at the moment. She almost thought she was having a real and sweet relationship with Ye Chengwei. Her heat kept racing.

Ye Chengwei bent over and kissed her forehead gently. His voice was charming. “My little An-an, you look stunning.”

“Little An-an?” An Ran looked at him confused.
