Oath of Love

Chapter 55

From now on, she could have egg-sized diamonds, buy limited edition bags whenever she wanted, and have new clothes waiting for her to wear with the tags still on.

But what meaning did this kind of life have?

From now on, she was like a bird with clipped wings. She could only stay obediently imprisoned in this elegant cage, waiting for her owner to throw her away.

She thought of An Ze.

Five years ago, she struggled out of the swamp but fell in accidentally again. She became the lover that An Ze looked down on again.

“Remember, I like good girls,” he said with the aura of a king. His gentleness contained dominance.

Yes, everyone liked good girls. Wasn’t being a lover just like being a puppet?

Ye Chengwei got off work early. He returned to the villa, ate dinner with An Ran, and held her hand, walking her back home.

Some things that were about to happen went without saying.

The neighborhood was dimly lit and the lights interwove. It was as beautiful as a festival.

An Ran stood before the window of the bathroom and dried her hair slowly with a hairdryer. She was dragging the time out, but no matter how she dallied, she had to go out.

After calming herself down, she turned off the hairdryer and opened the bathroom door.

Ye Chengwei wore a white robe and was laying in bed. He was reading, but when An Ran walked out, his eyes slid over.

His lips curled into a smirk. “How come you didn’t shower the entire night?”

Naturally, he saw through her.

An Ran pouted and moved slowly to the bed. She was as slow as a snail. Ye Chengwei grabbed her wrist and pulled her over. She fell into his arms. Then he turned and pressed down on her.

Ah! An Ran yelped and looked nervously at Ye Chengwei’s eyes.

Lights flickered but made one feel panic.

“Nervous?” Ye Chengwei’s voice was extremely soft, but it made An Ran’s heart pound even faster.

She was as stiff as a piece of meat taken out of the freezer and could only mumble something.

“Silly girl.” Ye Chengwei chuckled dotingly and slid his hand through An Ran’s long hair. He caressed her softly with unlimited gentleness, making her relax without knowing.

His murmur brushed past An Ran’s face like a warm breeze, making her flush instantly.

And Ye Chengwei’s kiss landed on her lips the next second.

An Ran’s tears rolled down involuntarily, sliding into her long hair from the corner of her eyes.

She sighed inwardly. The debt that she’d owed for five years was going to be paid now.

After some entanglement, Ye Chengwei went to sleep. He had An Ran use his arm as a pillow and encircled her in his arms. This way, he slept well.

But An Ran wasn’t sleepy at all. She looked at Ye Chengwei with wide eyes. Did cold gods only look less cold when they were deep in sleep?

How many girls did such a perfect man have in his life? Was she only a passerby in his life? She still remembered his words from before. You’re only a lover repaying a debt. She couldn’t have feelings for him. He wasn’t sentimental.

Ha, not sentimental!

How many rich men were sentimental?

Darkness flashed past An Ran’s face. She closed her eyes, forcing herself to sleep.

She shouldn’t think about these things. She didn’t qualify to search for the answer either.
