Oath of Love

Chapter 48

She could feel Ye Chengwei’s warm breath at her ears and hear his soothing voice. “Mistress is a canary living in the luxurious cage.”

“What do you mean?” An Ran was shocked that he used that expression.

Canary!

“This villa is your cage.” Ye Chengwei said slowly, “I want you to live here everyday.”

An Ran got rid of his control and turned over to look at him. She said firmly, “No.”

Ye Chengwei’s mild face turned icy. “No one dares to say no to me.” That includes her.

“I can’t live here.” She changed her strategy into lowering her voice. “I can’t explain to my mom if I don’t go home. I can’t let her know that…I’m a mistress.”

“Is it disgraceful to be my mistress?” Ye Chengwei was a little enraged.

“No, no.” An Ran shook her head as she knew that she couldn’t enrage him right now, so she compromised. “Anyway, I can’t not go back home. Will you understand, Ah-wei?”

She called him Ah-wei out of haste, but it sounded unintentional.

Ye Chengwei felt better and reached out a hand to pinch An Ran’s jaw softly. “I’ve already arranged it for you.

I’ve given you a role in Eastern City Company. You tell your mom you need to live in the dormitory there.”

“Eastern City Company?” An Ran knew it was a big company under Ye Group from her one year experience of job hunting. But it was in a suburb outside of Eastern City, very far from her home. It would take her 3 hours on the bus each day to get there.

He was thoughtful.

“But you are actually here waiting in this beautiful cage for me everyday.” Ye Chengwei smirked. “Surely I might not come back. But you have to wait for me everyday.”

He sounded really haughty.

An Ran didn’t know what to say.

Ye Chengwei ignored her upset and opened the drawer. He pinched a black card and passed it to An Ran. “You can learn how to spend money as a benefit of being my mistress.”

His slow tone was full of irony to An Ran. She didn’t take it. “I don’t need it.”

Ye Chengwei didn’t say anything but thrusted the card in her bra. An Ran was shocked.

The card felt cold next to her breast. She looked at him angrily.

But Ye Chengwei sneered at her, not finding his gesture insulting. He remained cold and high. “I’ve said it. If you listen to me, I will spoil you. But if you don’t…”

He laughed mockingly and glanced at An Ran’s breast. “This is just the beginning, better not to feel bad about it.”

An Ran felt a sore in her nose. She took out the thin card from her collar. She would very much like it to turn into a blade, so she could slash the devil’s neck.

“Can I move here tomorrow?” An Ran gave up completely. She had nothing to fight against him.

Ye Chengwei didn’t force her and left leisurely. “Zhang will pick you up tomorrow.”

After the door was closed, An Ran folded her hands to jump in the room like mad. She opened her mouth to curse all the ancestors of Ye Chengwei.

Who could tell her why she picked this devil who could lift people up to heaven and throw them in hell five years ago? WHY?
