Mystical Academy: The Mystery of the World

He get a towel and gave it to me. He removed his half wet shirt in front of me and throw it on the laundry. I didn't even peek on his body and I keep myself busy on rubbing my hair.

"Tonight, no matter what happen, only show the fire." He told. I looked into his eyes.

"Yeah-yeah." Did he already predict that something bad will happen tonight? Congratulations to him, he's a psychic. He took the towel from me and he gently rub my wet hair.

"And this hair should not be shown. Do you know that it glows whenever you use one of the elements?"

"I didn't noticed." I keep myself monotonous. He's really weird. We fall in silent for a few moments.

"Now that you had known, they will know if ever you use water, fire, earth and even air. Do you use air?"

"Sometimes, but I never tried to control it powerfully before." He hang the towel on his shoulder and he told me to remove my wet sweater and I just did obey. Why the hell did I obey? He drop my wet sweater and gently dry my body. "What are you doing?" I finally asked.

"Drying you." He answer which is really obvious.

"I have my own hands and I can—" he twist me around and he dry my back. I gasped when he unclasped my bra. "What the hell are you doing?!" I scowl at him. I hold the front so that it won't exposed on him.

"I had seen you wearing only underwear." He gently dumped it at my back. He told me not to move so I did not move. He walks and walks back behind me. He gather all my hair and tie it up. "Remove this," he pull the strap of my bra. I was about to complain but he gave me the towel. "Cover this in your front." I did cover my front by the towel after I drop down my bra. I heard the shattering sound of camera.

After that, I felt his arms around me and his chin over my shoulder. His warm skin is pressed on my skin. "When Adhiti disappear without any trace," he started. "There are lots of death in an unknown disease. At least ten students every year. The same cases of Paul and Justine. Adhiti's mother and father had understand about the killing, about why the students dies in the same cases. Patrick does everything to remain in Academy, so do I. It is to protect Andrew, Marissa and Eliza and other students."

"So it never end." I murmur.

"It never ends." We stay like that for a few moments. "They tried to do the same on you when you get a high fever. So that I had decided to bring you to my cabin. There, you'll be safe from needles and medicines."

Pain, hatred and insecurity are all I see in her eyes. She bit her lower lips to control her emotions. She smiled forcibly.

"Sorry. I thought that Mr. Gregory is alone." She immediately closes the door and leave.

"She's jealous." I noted and hold the towel in front of me and pushed him. I bent out to pick my bra and put it back though it is wet. I was about to pick the sweater but he already picked it up and throw it on the laundry basket. He walk towards the closet and walk towards me with a hoody sweater on his right hand. I was about to took it but he held it for me. "I can—" he pulls the towel from me and drops it. He held it up for me to slip on it.

I was walking on the corridor wearing his sweater and it smells like him. I hugged myself and keep my head down while walking towards the dormitory. I walk inside the double door and walk straight to the third floor.

"Catastrophe?" the familiar sweet voice called. I turn to see Jean with a smile on her face when she got me right. "Goodness, I had been looking all over for you. You need to get ready and please don't get cold. Why are you so wet?" she is talking rapidly but still I can catch her up. "Here," she gave me the suit bag. Then it feels like déjà vu. "Mrs. Patterson said to give it to you."

I enter my room and hear few giggling and noisy kisses. My jaw almost drops when I saw Adhiti's brother and best friend on the other side of the room where Marissa's bed is. They both stop from their loving-loving. I closes the door and pulls my hood. I glare at them.

"Hi." Marissa immediately looked for her shirt and she immediately put it on. Patrick sat up and stretched his arms. Good thing that he's not naked and they are not both totally naked. Like the last time I, when I was Adhiti, on the room of her brother's caught Andrew totally screwing with Leona.

I throw the dress on the bed and walk directly towards the bathroom. When I got out, I caught them again, kissing. Goodness, when are they going to break apart for a moment that I won't see? I dried my hair while wearing my robe and I sat on the four poster bed ignoring them.

"So, did you already get the dress that Mrs. Patterson sent?" Marissa asked. I tap on the dress that is still covered with black suit bag. Marissa excitedly open the dress. I looked at her when she dropped the dress on the floor that makes Ruin who is lying on my bed growls.

I stood and looked at her surprised, terror expression. Patrick picks the dress and removed it from the bag. He raise it and I was a little surprised to see the identical dress that Adhiti wears when she died. This is a threat. The game has begun.

I laugh out loud thinking that it would be another trap. The way that they kidnapped her. And the way that they ordered those monsters to kill her. This is really a big surprised that they will do the same tactics to get me.

"That is so freaking funny!" I said with laughs and I even wiped the tear at the side of my eyes. I breathed to catch some air. I looked directly into Patrick's eyes. "Don't worry, I will still sing." I told him. "I will burn them through my music."

The show must go on. That's our motto in performing. I fixed my hair into curly messy style and put a mafia hat on. Marissa make over me like the way Adhiti's makeup looks like before she disappear. I put my boots on that is long under my knees and I hid two knifes on both sides.

"Knock! Knock!" Andrew enters the room and closes the door. He stare at the dress that I am wearing. "Why are you wearing that?" he asked furiously. I walk towards him and scoop his cheeks.

"I am going to sing tonight." It is my way to calm him. Andrew suffers a lot because he saw how I disappear. He saw it when he found my amulet. He pulls out the amulet from his pocket.

"Is this because you told me to bring Adhiti's amulet?" he asked Patrick.

"Calm down, Drew." He hold my hand and he pulls me into a hug. "People around here will die… all of them." I murmur. "For now, keep in mind that Adhiti is dead."

"We are going to leave this Academy and have a normal life outside. Please, don't leave us again." He begs. I felt his warm tears on my naked shoulders. I'm sorry brother. But I have to do this. This is my fight.

Everybody is getting ready on the rehearsal. I keep my head down but I almost bump with someone. He hold my shoulders and when I raise my face, he's grinning from ear to ear.

"Hey, I barely see you these past few days. You've been too busy to entertain this handsome one."

"Flame." He scoop my cheeks and in my surprised he kissed my lips. I wanted to push him but I remain like a robot.

"I miss you." I did pushed him and he chuckled. "You look so beautiful today." He took my hand and kissed it. I was about to leave but he didn't release my hand and he squeeze it. "Eliza said that you are screwing gorgeous males here. Are you playing on me while you are playing on Nick?" there, he sounds jealous. I do not care.

"Yes. If you'll excuse me, I will have to screw other gorgeous males around here." I pull my hand. He chuckled amusingly on my behavior.

"Break a leg, sweetie." I raise my middle finger on the air. I get to the back stage where the bands are. They look so worried that I might turn back from them and not to sing. We rehears a bit and vocalized.

"Catastrophe!" Jean calls she run to me breathlessly. She hold her chest and catches her breath before speaking. "The Headmistress wanted to see you." There, they wanted to see me before I even perform.

"Okay, I will see her briefly." I told. Jean nods and started organizing everything.

"It's weird." Grayson murmurs. I looked at the other members. "It will be between two of us, Catastrophe. I feel like I know why Adhiti disappear." He moved his mouth closer to my ear. "She knows something about the President and the Headmistress that cannot be known by others. Then I guess, it is the same thing now. Adhiti got a call from the Headmistress, just right before the performance. So be careful."

"Don't worry too much Grayson. Save those worries on everyone." I told him. He looked quizzical for a while and he suddenly understand what I meant. I did not left my band for meeting the Headmistress. She could be here. Since she's the Headmistress after all, her presence needs in this event.

I started playing the piano and my accompaniment plays along as I sing the song Set a fire to the Rain. Patrick, and Marissa are together watching me to make sure to keep an eye on me. Andrew was there too at the back stage. Mr. and Mrs. Patterson are there watching me singing. The person I wanted to see is Nick.

Though it was all dark, the neon lights are dancing along with my song. Then for the final song, Burn of Ellie Goulding. Cause we got a fire, fire, fire… yeah we got a fire, fire, fire and we gonna let burn, burn, burn… the students cheers and dance along on my song. On the chorus, when I said burn I raise my hand and pointed the bonfire as my fire ball burns the woods. Together, Flame had lighten the torches and everyone clapped their hands.

After my performance, I hadn't seen the Headmistress and the President on the lighting of Bonfire. It is the opening for the Mystical Christmas, opening the bonfire means the light of the way where everyone will leads into goodness. So, I went to the office of the Headmistress and knocked in front of the door. Nobody is answering so I knock and knock again. I didn't did what Adhiti did, is entering on the office and eavesdrop on their conversation.

The door opens that makes me stepped back. Nicholas stepped out. What is he doing there? He's not supposed to be there. Is he on their side? Am I betrayed again?

"Miss Canfield," Mrs. Hudson calls. Nicholas opens the door wide for me and gives a way. I enter the room without any hesitation. The door closes and he's still behind me. "I had heard you singing and it was beautiful."

"Thank you." I said formally without any smiles.

"Mr. Gregory and I has been talking, there will be changes on your subjects and I hope that you will get along with your new mentor." I looked at Nick who is all silent. "But still he will stay your Legal Guardian." She continued.

We all headed back to the ball. I didn't open up with Nicholas because the Headmistress together with the President is with us. We stayed at the back while both of them headed in front.

"What does she all mean by that?" I asked him. He did not speak for a while. The music stopped and the President is going to do her speech. But before she even spoke, there are two voices scream that echoes on the forest. I got alarmed and Nick too.

I and Nick both run to the direction and the Professors too. A monstrous growls echoes on the cold night, my heart started palpating in fear. Fear? I was feeling fear. I was about to run for an attack because he got Jean. But Nick hold me.

"Don't." he murmurs. I look back on the huge monster with a pair of burning red eyes.

"But Jean—" he hold my arm as he twist me to face him.

"Nothing. Instead of fire…" he cleared to me. I nod my head. He kneel one knee on the ground and the ground started vibrating. A sharp roots comes out and he hold it like it becomes a spear. He throw it on the beast's direction and it hit the head before he even eat Jean. He dropped Jean when he squeal that blasts in our ears. Jean falls down on the ground and I runs to her. She's fractured badly. I glanced at Eliza who is all shaking while staring at the beast.

"He-help…" Jean murmurs. The monster had seen Eliza and he was about to attack her. I jumped over Jean and make a blue fire and throw it on the face of the monster. What really shocks me about it is, the monster is furry with a long fangs and the body of a giant human but a head of some kind of a wolf. I immediately snatched one knife from my boots and throw it flaming towards the eye of the monster. And then, I pull up Eliza and she got a scratch on her arm.

Nick help me with her. I ignore on how she hugged him like a scared little girl. I saw Andrew with two swords that probably comes from Nick's room. I run to him and grabbed one. I do not hesitate of killing this monster. If it kills me so be it. But I won't let this monster kill my friends and my family.

"No!" Kraig, my dad, screams and runs to stop me but I was too fast so I attack the foot of the monster slicing his flesh as the blood spit on me. The ground shakes like an earthquake and there are lots of roots coming out. Nick rides together with the roots to level the monster and he stabbed it directly to the heart. The monster stepped back losing balance making a loud growl. My eyes widens and I am unable to move when the monster is falling on my direction.

I just closed my eyes and get ready to be smashed. I felt someone's arms around me and we both falls on the ground as we rolls. I open my eyes to see Nick above me. He covers me when the big thud falls on the ground as a dusty air blows on us. When I open my eyes, I saw that the monster burns and becomes ashes.

I heard few people called our names. Nick sat beside me and he help me to get up. I felt my brother's embraces and my dad who holds my hand.

"Everyone, back to your dorms!" The President and the Headmistress demands, the Professors and other staffs of the academy leads the students back to their rooms.

I stood and looked at Nicholas who slide his special sword on the case. He wear the belt on his shoulder and he extend his hand to me. I took it and he drag me out from them. My mother calls but Patrick and Andrew told them that it will be fine so I was dragged again to the woods. I stopped when we are in front of the big oak tree where I heard voices inside of it.

He pulls out a handkerchief from his trousers and wiped my face. He even removed his hoody jacket and put it on me and as he pulls the hood on my head. I waited him to tell me what he wanted to do.

"I'm so proud of you." He told me. I frown at him thinking that he's really going to leave me. "My gift is already delivered in your room." He gently scoop my cheeks and caressed his thumb on my nose bridge. I hate him. "I love you." I really hate him now. "No matter what, you have to survive." Is he really going to say goodbye and betray me? "If you don't know where to go, you always know how to find me. And I will always find you to save you and protect you."

"Stop saying that!" I scowl at him. "How could you leave me like this after saying you will save me and protect me? After you had known what's happening around here, you will just leave?!" my heart is really palpating from the anger that I am releasing. I cannot take this anger anymore. I don't want any other mentor but him. "You are such a jerk!" I fisted his chest in anger. "Jerk!" My heart is aching and I cannot hold these tears anymore. My heart hates him so much. All the pain I felt is because of him.

"I'm sorry…" that's all he said while I am crying like a little girl in front of him. I've been keeping all these pain inside my chest and this is what I get? Crying and crying in front of him while punching his strong chest? I hate him! I really hate him. Hard sobs escaped from my mouth and all he do is let me punch him. "Hush, I know how much I hurt and hurting you right now." He gently scoop my cheeks as I stop from punching him. His big thumbs brushes off my tears but few tears escape again. "Stay here, show them how dauntless and boundless you are. You will find me soon, and I will protect you."

I felt his warm kiss on my forehead and move down to my lips. He embraced me really warm and tight like never going to let me go. I did the same. We stayed like that for few moments but he has to let me go and I stayed dumb there.

"Nick," I called his name. He turn back from me. "Nick!" I called louder. He faces me and took my hand. He gently kisses my knuckles.

"You have the map." I was baffled. What map is he talking about? I don't have it. I don't have a map! "I love you. Always remember that no matter how I cheated on you, you are still in my mind and in my heart. You are my soul mate, we will always be together again."

"Stop saying nonsense!" he only smiled at me. He let go of my hand and I was about to grabbed it back.

"Close your eyes." I shook my head. "Come on, love." He calls me love, the usual he calls me. "I am not saying goodbye." I breathed and slowly closed my eyes as tears keeps falling down. I felt his warm hands brushes off my tears. "I love you."

I close my eyes for few seconds as I didn't heard his footsteps or breathing. A cold wind blows on me, and when I open my eyes the fire flies are lighting the big oak tree.
