Mystical Academy: The Mystery of the World

"Get off me!"

"No. Please, let's stay for a moment like this." He murmurs on my nape. It calms me for a moment but I have to be mad at him.

"I am not Adhiti and you have no right to kiss me!"

"I don't care. I don't care if you are not her. All I care is I see her in you. I miss that face… I miss that voice… Forgive me for being spoiled. I just wanted to feel contented at this moment. Please let me." He said it all in whisper, soft and desperate. "My Adhiti," he whisper as if I was really her. "Please pretend that you are her at this moment. I just wanted to embrace her like this and tell her that I love her so much."

I did stop from avoiding him. I felt his heart at my back beating. It is calming and I feel like it is talking to me. His heart speak loud romantic words at my mind. Like the moment he embrace Adhiti like this. I tried not to be her but part of me wanted her back.

"If ever she's listening to me right now, I wanted to say that I am sorry for not finding you sooner and saved you. I wanted to say sorry because, I cheated on you. I'm sorry for not showing my love to you enough. I just wish to bring back all the time and never let you go beside me so that they won't ever take you away from us." He stop for a moment. His voice had change like it somehow sounds teary and broken. He sniffles at my back and I felt tears falls down on my shoulder that makes my shirt wet. He tightens his embrace. "I just wished that I never take my eyes off you so that if ever they wanted to take you, I would fight for you for them not to touch any strands of your hair."

I wanted to shut him up because I am getting too emotional of his words. My eyes are teary and I can't hold any tears anymore. I do my best on closing my eyes so the tears won't come out. I felt his kiss on my neck and he sniffs me as his hug tightens.

"I just wished that I never used anyone just to take all my loneliness. I just wished that I did something to save you."

I get to my room feeling all jelly. I don't know how to think straight clearly. When I enter my room and closes it, I fall my knees on the floor. I can't even see clearly because of the tears forming on my eyes. I felt a furry thing brushes on my arm. I felt my wolf's little feet steps on my knees and sniffles my face. I blinks and hold the pup as it licks my tears away.

"Hey, I have this feeling that you are not okay so I called. I just want to make sure that you are alright."

"I'm alright." I said but my voice breaks.

"Are crying? What happened?" he sounds really worried like I was his own daughter. "Who hurt you?"

"Don't worry, I can take this." I murmur.

"Come on. Tell me." I didn't speak for a moment and sniffled. I told him everything. I told him what I feel. I told him that this stupid heart is still in love with her first love. I finally ended the call because it needs to charge.

It is already five in the afternoon. I didn't show up on our sparring today. It is very awkward that he cried in front of me while saying those things. I hugged the pillow while Ruin is pillowing on the pillow that I am hugging with his nose pointed on me. Katherine is nowhere. Maybe she's just somewhere around.

Someone knocks on the door and I immediately cover Ruin by my duvet before it opens. Good thing that the dog didn't complain. I sat up to see Mrs. Patterson with a smile and a bag.

"How are you feeling?" she asked me.

"I'm fine." I say. She walks towards my bed and put the bag on the bedside table. I forgot about Ruin. It startles her when the duvet move and Ruin barks. I pulls the duvet and apologies to her. She said it was fine and instantly adore Ruin.

"What an adorable wolf." She said and patted the wolf. "Good thing that I double the foods that I cook. I will just settle the table." I nods and she took the bag and started settling the table. Ruin played on the duvet biting it and almost ruining it. "I heard that you left the Academy a while ago. Where did you go?" she asked me while she's busy on preparing the food on the table. It takes a few seconds before I answer her.

"I went back to the town to visit an old friend. He is the one who taught me to play violin since I was five." She nods.

"I'm sorry that my sons keep on bugging you. They are just worried about you."

"They are quite over protective when it comes to Adhiti. I may looked like her, but it is really unusual to me. I am not used that there are people who wanted to protect me twenty four-seven." I saw how she stop from what she is doing.

"They just loved their sister very much. I'm sorry if they are that way."

Ruin falls down the bed with the duvet and he whimpers like he's crying. But he stopped and played on the duvet again. I found him very adorable biting and ruining the duvet.

"Mrs. Patterson? I wanted to ask something." She turn to me and nods. "Why did Adhiti disappear without any trace?" it takes a while before she speaks. She knows something and it makes her terrified to speak.

"She… she discover something that she shouldn't."

"What is it?" I asked innocently though I know the truth behind. She shook her head and smile a little.

"You shouldn't get curious around here. We don't know what we are stepping on." It is the same sentences that she told Adhiti. But Adhiti is a very bright curious girl who wanted to know everything that goes on her way. That includes the death of her friend and people around her. "Because of my daughter's curiosity and traumatic memories in this school, she wanted to explore and to know the answers."

"Does people keep on dying on that year?"

"Yes."

"What about people keep on missing? Or she's the only one?"

"There are lots of people keep on missing here but they will found their body at the third day. My Adhiti, we never found her body. I am still assuming that she's alive."

It didn't take long for her to settle the table. She told me that she has to leave to check for her apprentice. It was a relieve being alone again. Ruin keeps on running back and forth. I think he needs to go outside. I went to the table to eat and put few meats on Ruin's bowl. I am eating while listening to the Mozart's compositions. The door opens and I feel his aura as he enters the room.

"It was supposed to be your training at four. Why didn't you come?" he asked a little agitated. I sipped on my water before speaking. "Don't you know how important it is to you to learn all of those things?"

"Maybe it is important, but I guess I need to pass this day. A while ago, Eliza saw us. In a few minutes you will be called in the office of the Head Mistress."

"Catastrophe." I stood and turn to him.

"It is inappropriate to talk to me after what you have done." He closes the door behind him so that the conversation between us will be private. I know that there are lots of gossips outside my room. Nicholas always visit me in Adhiti's room. I know students have their dirty perception on the relationship between us.

He's Adhiti's ex and I was like her doppelganger. My role is making their minds twisted. It is my own way for them to show that Adhiti is dead and I am not her so that they can't find any information about what I know. It is really hard to speak about the truth and the mystery around the academy. But memories of Adhiti is very vivid in my mind, like it just happens yesterday.

"Let's be casual and pretend that it didn't happen. If the Head Mistress kick me out the school or suspend me as your Adviser, I know that she won't do it. Because she's also like me."

"You are all psychos." I just murmur. I don't want to say anymore. The Head Mistress is quite a flirt when it comes to Andrew. She seduce him many times and slept with him many times while she's a Head Mistress of the school and he is a student. I had caught them almost making out. It is really inappropriate for the Head of the school to make out with the student. Just like the case of Nicholas and Eliza. And now, I and him. Things are really crazy around here.

"I don't care what you called us. But I was just an instructor and I am not a permanent adviser here."

"So it is easy for you to fool around with me. You see, I am not a clingy slut."

"You are not and I don't think that you are." He said clearly. His calmness is getting into my nerves but I have to remain calm, archaic, blunt and mostly monotonous. "You see, Catastrophe," he speak my word like a song which is quite unusual to me these days. "I could say that we have a one sided romantic relationship. You shouldn't worry much about yourself, because I was the one who is responsible for everything."

"If you say so. Remember that I don't like you do those things anymore. I am not Adhiti. And if you love her, why won't you find her yourself so that you won't think me as her. Mostly, you will never kiss me again like I was her."

"If that's what you want." He finally say. He smile cockily like it was a competition between us. "For now." He added that makes me raise my eyebrow.

"Are we talking clearly at each other? It isn't appropriate for a teacher to seduce his student."

He walks towards me and I stand still with chin up and confidence. He pushed himself to me that makes me lean on the table and he corner me with his arms. He move down his face. The little pace between us makes us feel each other's breath.

"I can seduce anyone I like. I can be a bad boy of your dreams."

"I don't dream bad boys." I told him and never look down. Ruin whimpers and barks at us. He keep walking around our feet like he wanted something.

"Really?" he asked as if he's doubting me. "Do you know what it feels and what it taste like when I kiss you?"

"Does a kiss have also a taste?" I asked a little curious though I know how it feels and taste like.

"Yes. I feel Adhiti's lips and mouth. It taste Adhiti like the first time we kissed. But it is a disappointment that I never felt her respond." He said it slowly and sexily. I have to smack my head off from thinking that it is sexy. I just wish that he didn't notice that it affects me a little. I am good at hiding my reactions and emotions but I was never been good doing it all when it comes to him since I got here. "I just wished that I can read minds so that I can hear your thoughts."

"Step back." I demand him. He move closer to kiss me but I look away and avoid it.

"I just wish that you are Adhiti so that I could kiss her anytime I wanted to. I just wish that I have enough seduction to seduce her all over again and make her fall in love to me all over again. So she won't look at other man."

I felt Ruin scratching on my feet and whining like he wanted something. He kissed my forehead and stepped back. I look down at Ruin and I immediately know what he wanted. I put a water on his bowl and he immediately drank on it using his tongue while his tail is wiggling.

"Did she cheated you that's why you wished that you seduce her enough?" I asked him and sat on my chair comfortably.

"No. She never cheated on me. She was perfect in my eyes." I didn't respond on his answer and continue eating. "Tomorrow, the same time in gymnasium." He told and leave my room.

Around ten in the evening I have to sneak out the building to give Ruin a freedom. It is hard to hide him to everyone around me except for the people who knows about Ruin. I taught him how to fetch but he never take it. Maybe next time. We went to the near river and he played on the water. The light of the moon is bright like anytime I will saw some bats flying or some witch riding on her broom.

"Ruin," I called him and he immediately respond by running towards me. He shake his body to dry up but the water drops flies on my face. I wiped my face. "Okay, enough now. Come on." He runs to me and I dry his fur with the towel that I wrapped on him. I stood and hugged him. I almost drop Ruin when someone was behind me all this time.

"Sorry for startling you." Flame smile wide on me. He wasn't wearing black today but a white sweatshirt. "That's an adorable dog." Ruin growl on him and barks at him. "But he doesn't like me." I calm Ruin and he stop barking but he is growling and I feel it vibrating on my chest.

"He's not a dog, but a wolf."

"Wolf-dog… they are the same." He told and move a little closer. "So, how are you? I haven't seen you for a while. Plus, Eliza look depressed because she had seen you and Nick make out in the car." I simply got irritated on his last sentence. I can't help but to frown at him.

"We didn't make out. He kissed me against my will. Also, it is harassment." I groan at him. He immediately hands up and apologize.

"Okay, if you say so." He walk around and gather a few woods and he settled a fire site and throw a fire on it. He sat and gesture me to sit with him. I did but a distant away from him and let Ruin lay down near the fire. He yawns big and lay down his chin.

"How long do you know them?"

"Long enough before they were born." My eyes widens in amusement. I wanted to laugh at him and he can see in my eyes that it really amuse me.

"How exactly old are you?" I asked him to make sure.

"Two-hundred-nineteen." He answered in so serious. But I laugh a little and take to stop it. He frowns at me as if it was some kind of a joke. The fire gets big that wakes Ruin but I calm the fire and patted Ruin. "We don't get old like humans. Our aging slows down for twenty-five years at the age of fifteen and stop at the age of twenty. After three times two-hundred years, we continue aging in the same routine."

"That sounds cool." I just murmur. I guess he's telling the truth. "So, that means that you are an oldie in this world." He grimace at me and almost throw a fire on me but I raise my eyebrow at him.

"Yes," he agreed. "But don't laugh at it because you, humans don't know about us."

"Oh, I do." I told him in very serious sound. He looked at me quite quizzical.

"Really?"

"Yes. You are a nymph, like dryads or something." I told him. He curve his lips down and shrugged like he was thinking if I was right or wrong.

"Well, something like that. But, you know," he looked directly into my eyes and studied be. "You are something and I think that you are not a human. You must be a daughter of some Royal Blood of Pyrē. You wouldn't control the fire just like that. It is very rare for people in this Mystical Academy to light up fire in their hands." I think for a moment before speaking.

"Did you mean that you and I are the only one who can control fire and lit it with our hands?" Am I asking the right question? I have this feeling that my wordings are wrong. I sometimes have that feeling.

"Precisely. It only means that you and I are destined to each other." He smile playfully thinking that I am destined to him. But I don't feel that way towards him. I feel like he's a jerk or something. Or is it because of this heart wanted only someone else? He gapes when I didn't react about it. "Maybe not." Good thing that he immediately realize that it is not good to think about it. "You are too, serious type and emotionless type. How could you manage that?"

"Simple, because I grow up with an aspie. That aspie raise me well."

"You are lack of empathy too?" he asked out of curiosity.

"Not really, he let me enjoy my environment around and I have this little empathy too. I learned it with my mentor in violin." He nods on my answer. He crawl towards me and sat beside me. He fold his kneels and wrapped his arms around it as he leans his cheek on his knees while facing me.

"You are really amazing while playing the violin." He said it charmingly as if he was mesmerized on me, or worse in love.

"Thank you?" it really sounds like a question. No, it is a question. I don't know how to respond that easily. He stayed like that for a moment, staring at me and studying me while I take myself from looking away and staring at the fire.

"I like you very much. I don't know what you have but I am super attracted on you. You are just a fierce, alluring lady that I ever see since then."

He sounds so familiar. I wonder how he said all of those words. He's very old and I guess that he's very strategic on getting a girl he wanted. He's that knowledgeable on making girls falling in him. He sounds like Nick.

"Really?" I asked him like I am not that interested to hear it. Also, I don't believe him. How many times did he say the same words to other girls?
