My Unique Goddess: AZALEA

After that sumptuous meal everybody walks back to the living room and chat with each other. Romina knows what their topic for tonight she don't need to guess it they've already seen it.

"Azalea, I'm going to talk to my grandfather for a while. Do you think you can handle yourself here?". He is worried about leaving her alone but he needs to. "I won't take long, I promised". He kissed her on her forehead.

Azalea just nod and watch him go upstairs where his grandfather is resting. She watch him until his silhouette has gone.

"Do you really like my son?". Romina asking her while offering her a wine.

Azalea jolted and looked at her sharply. Chin up.

"Relax, I'm not here to fight... You're a seriously wildcat, aren't you?". The corner of her lips is elevated.

She knows this woman don't know how to back down. Just like her before until she had Jack. Her strength and her weakness.

"I'm in love with him". She directly answered her and took the wine glass from her hand. She took a sip and look away.

"But I can see fear in your eyes". She is looking deep in Azalea's eyes and was surprised how beautiful they are with it's very unique color. It is very inviting to look at.

Azalea lowered her gaze. She can't believed even with an almost tinted eye glasses her true fear can still be seen in them.

Romina now knows they have the same weakness. But she wants to know how Azalea will going to fight it because she herself decided to back out a long time ago for the fear of losing his only child. But even though she did what she could she still lost him. He became distant even though he's one step away from her.

"Tell me child, what are you so afraid of?". Her words are very sincere this time if others can hear it they won't believed its her who's talking.

"I love him but I'm afraid to love him more". She drank her wine in one shot. She don't understand why is she confessing to her and telling her what's inside her heart.

"You're afraid to lose him?". She guessed her worries and Azalea nod.

"Good!".

Azalea looked at her with confusion.

"Because now I know you won't give up on him easily". She smiled at her before she drinks her wine whole.

Jack is in his grandfather's room. He can see him sitting on a chair reading some papers.

"If you're going to asked about the contract..... My answer is yes". He said to him without looking.

"But I haven't said anything?". He was surprised that he knows his intention.

"You're my most precious grandchild and I've known you for years. Do you really think I don't know what's running inside your head?". He stopped and put down the papers he's reading. "You want to know if the contract has a fault, breakable, can be contest or revised..... The answer to all of it is YES!". He is clarifying the misunderstanding that he made just to marry them off.

"Is that the contract I ask you to make back in Russia?". He knows the truth but he still wants to hear it.

"Yes it is. You were twelve back then and she is five. After you ask me to make a contract her grandfather and I make a little agreement but the contract has no real power over the two of you. You can get a divorce anytime you want now". Tyron is making a bet to himself that his grandson won't let her go.

"NO!... I mean.... Can we just hide this contract away from Azalea". Jack is overly worried. What if Azalea finds out about it she might file a divorce and leave him. He can't let that happen not now, not ever. She's his wife now and he will do whatever it takes to keep her.

Tyron Shin wins. This thought came rushing to his head. He knows Jack has been enchanted by Azalea's kindness and innocent beauty when they were young and the same thing is happening again today.

"I'm going back to Russia, do you want me to take it?". He went back to his work again.

"Yes please,... Thanks grandpa". Jack left in a hurry. His worried heart seems to be at peace a bit. He knows his grandfather will keep that contract away from them.

He went back to the living room and saw his wife talking to her mother and what amazed him more is that the two women is laughing not bickering at each other. He saw the other members of his family who were astonished by the scene even his father who is standing in the and watching their woman in silence seems to be at peace.

"How are you son?". He saw him walking to his direction and asked him as soon as he reached him.

"Fine, how about you and mom?". He took the wine the servant gave him and clink it to his father's glass.

"Still here but getting old". He drank the wine and felt the rush of its heat through his throat but the sweetness of it lingers to his mouth.

"She likes her". Jack is looking at the two woman in the grand sofa. Having a good conversation.

"I do think so too". He paused and continued watching them. "Your wife can make her laugh, just like the way she laugh before". Damian is very pleased with them.

Jack falls in a deep thought. He can't remember anymore why his mother stopped laughing nor smiling and begins to be cold. All he can remember is he grew up alone in this big mansion.

"Jack..... Jack".

Jack heard someone is calling his name and when he look ahead he saw his wife running towards him.

"I told you not to run, why are you running again?". He cage her inside his arms and kiss her forehead.

"You didn't tell me your birthday is next week!". She is looking up to him while hugging his waist.

"Mother".

Jack looked at Romina and she just arc her eyebrow. He can't understand her she used to hate Sue who cater for her but she likes her feisty wife who argues with her.

"Are you going to celebrate your birthday, are we going to have a party?". She is asking him with eyes wide open and full of excitement.

Jack never celebrated his birthday ever since he was young but looking at Azalea's expressions with full of excitement he can never say no to her. He don't want to see any disappointment in her eyes.

"Of course we will going to celebrate my birthday. Actually Trey is working on it". He saw Trey passing them by.

Trey was dumbfounded when he heard his name uttered by Jack. He looked at him and ask what is it that he wants. Azalea is the one who told him that he wants a birthday party and when he heard it he almost collapsed. Jack's birthday is only five days away and he wants him to prepare it.

He tried to say something but Jack just glared at him like monster looking at his prey. But when he looked at Azalea he becomes a very gentle puppy. That's how powerful she is over him.

When it's time to go Jack came to his mother.

"Mom, you like her?". He's looking at the face of the woman who breath life to him with a content look.

Romina feels like she just swallowed her tongue and she can't utter even a single word. Her mind is telling her that her son is talking to her now and recognized her as his mother again. For a long time she waited fir this and now its happening. She wants to cry in that same moment but she suppressed that feeling. She won't wailed in front of him but she is very thankful.

"Of course not, why would I like your woman... Hmmpp". She needs to be the same Romina in front of everyone but her actions are far from the tyrant queen before.

Jack gave her a smile that's saying it's okay and he understands. Her position as the head madam of the family is tough she cannot show weakness or they will bully her. He just gave her mother a peck on her cheeks. And Romina hide her tears.
