My Unique Goddess: AZALEA

The host of the banquet has finally arrived and everyone is greeting him and wishing him a long good life more. Although he's lips is curved upward his smiles didn't reach his eyes. The so called smiling face is just a facade of him.

"I am honored for your presence. Coming here to celebrate my 50th birthday with me delights my heart". And he slightly bow his head.

Everyone is clapping for his thankful speech after that they came back from mingling with one another again.

Azalea is now standing behind Lindy and her bestfriend is busy listening to her uncle's speech. She tried to peek at the man but Lindy is taller than her she can only see her back.

After Luis Mullen's speech he entertained his guest one by one. Talking business and current events they all stick to that topic.

Lindy turned around and almost scream when she saw Azalea standing behind her. She smack her upper arm.

"Aaawwww..." She cries in pain.

"What are you doing behind my back, are you trying to scare me to death". She is glaring at her.

"You called me, I came". She's still patting her upper arm.

"Where have you been, I was looking all over for you". She sounds worried for her like a big sister.

She lowered her head to hide her mischievous grin. The scene earlier is still playing in her head. She was punished by her husband and that's the sweetest punishment she had ever received.

Lindy's face becomes soft, she felt guilty when Azalea lowered her head she thought she overstepped her boundaries and hurt her. She suddenly hug her.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to screamed at you, I was just too worried". She said sincerely.

Azalea was surprised by her bestfriend's actions. She just grabs her out of nowhere and saying sorry all of a sudden even though she don't understands she just play along.

"It's okay I'm fine". And she smile widely at her.

On the other side.

Corbin just found Jack walking out of the hallway. He studied his features and finds no fault in him. He didn't ask anything.

"Where's Sue?". He ask him.

Corbin pointed her out. She's talking to a man, he looked decent but he have a dangerous aura, he smells blood in his hands even though his very far from him.

"I want to know who he is". His instinct is giving him a warning.

"Yes sir". Corbin took his cell phone and simply took the man's picture, twenty shots in one click.

Jack scanned the area to look for his wife. He found her in Ken's group. He also sees Luis Mullen heading straight to them he found himself a reason to come over.

Sue is done talking to a friend of her. She is now looking for her fiance. She's hoping he's not mad anymore it's not her fault that a stupid paper was stuck on her hair.

She's scanning the place and suddenly found him. He is heading to Ken's group.

"He's probably going to greet Luis Mullen". She told herself seeing the host of the party is also approaching them.

She started to walk to their directions when something drop on top of her head. She stopped and and try to take what's on her head. It was cold and very soft then it move. She screamed on the top of her lungs.

Everybody was startled and looked at her direction.It was a very frightening screamed that she released. Then she just started to jump around and shake her head like a crazy woman.

"Get it off me, get it off me!". She's saying this while screaming.

Lindy and her group witnessed what's Sue is doing and they suddenly looked at Azalea.

Azalea felt a cold gaze to her direction and when she looked at her brother and Lindy they are both glaring at her.

"I didn't do anything, I swear!". She's also dumbfounded by the scene.

Suddenly something fly away from Sue's head. And it was flying everywhere and all guests starts screaming and dodging.

Jack run to Azalea he wants to make sure she's safe. Corbin follows him too.

Carlton hugs Lindy he's trying to protect her. Ken wants to protect Azalea but to his surprised she was very fond of the flying animal instead of being afraid.

"I'll catch it". She suddenly took her shoes off and run to the center of the hall.

She's watching the animal that she thought a squirrel flying with no direction. It glides again heading to the grand staircase. She did run there too.

"Corbin". Jack called him.

"On it". And he run towards her.

Azalea is running upstairs and she saw the glider landed on the handrail. When it sees her it started to glide away again.

Halfway on the stairs she saw it glide again almost heading at her direction but one meter away from the handrail she steps back and do a quick handstand on the handrail and backflip then catch the glider and landed on her feet like a gymnast. She calculated its move perfectly.

Everyone is holding their breath when she jumps off the stairs. For some they couldn't believed she will risk her life for a petty thing like that. But for other guests they were impressed.

"Is she a gymnast, that move is a 10". Someone already rate her.

Jack who almost lost his consciousness when he sees his wife do a backflip on the handrail felt a bit proud and at the same time angry. That is a very dangerous move.

Azalea landed in front of Corbin. He noticed she didn't even break a sweat, not even a strand of hair was misplaced.

Corbin's brows knitted. Her move is flawless and she landed like a feather on the ground. 'She was trained for a long time". He told himself. 'Who is she really?'.

Azalea looked at the animal she caught. Its a sugar glider and its very cute.

She runs over to his brother.

"Carlton look what I got its a sugar glider, its so cute". And she even brush her cheek on its body.

Lindy hide behind Carlton she's very frightened it looks like a rat to her.

Ken feels like he just swallowed his tongue he can't say anything.

"That's very cute". Jack suddenly pop out of nowhere.

"Yes it is, it's a sugar glider". She is smiling ear to ear.

"But what you did is a very dangerous move, you could have been hurt". And he gave her a sharp look.

She lowered her head, she knows she didn't think before she act. She felt like he's scolding her but she can't retaliate. She's in the wrong.

"I think you're a brave woman, you just save his life and I thank you for that". A deep voice of a man breaks in their conversation.

"By the way I'm Luis Mullen". And he handed his hand to her.

She took it and made a hand shake. She's still caressing the sugar glider.

"I'm glad you came, Mr. Jack Shin, how's your grandfather!?". He said casually.

"No where to be found as usual". He said in a normal tone.

"Just like before". Luis Mullen said it like he knows him for a long time.

"And may I know the name of the brave woman who saved my pet?". He is smiling at her truthfully.

Azalea was surprised and looked at the sugar glider she's holding.

"his your pet?".

"Yes he is".

"Can I have him?".

"I'm afraid you can't, he's part of my family".

"Oh". She feels disappointed but she don't want to take his family away.

"But you can visit him here". He sees she's been upset.

"Really". She was delighted to hear it.

"But you know what, I might give him to you". He's staring at her seriously.

"You will!". She's so happy when she thought he just changed his mind.

"Yes, just be part of my family". His grinning and looks excited about his idea.

Azalea stop for a minute and study his face.

"Do you want me to marry you?". She said innocently.

Luis Mullen was stunned then laugh out loud, wholeheartedly.

Everyone who hears him laugh was amazed. This is a real laughter he made after his wife's death. Even Ken and Lindy was surprised.

Luis Mullen is almost teary eyed and tried to control his emotions. That was a great genuine laughter he had made for a long time now.

"Well, I didn't know you would think that way, but its nice to know that you could consider me as a groom". He chuckles.

"I was thinking, how about my nephew, his a part of my family, you can marry him". And he look at Ken.

Ken is smiling wide. He never expect his uncle would approved to Azalea as his future wife. He should really work hard with Jack to find a solution for their contract marriage.

"If you end up with my nephew, you'll going to be my favorite niece in law". And he gave her a very big smile.
