My Unique Goddess: AZALEA

Jack came home from work all exited. He walk straight to the living room and saw all Azalea's rubix cubes still on the floor, untouched.

"Is your madam not home yet?". He ask Butler Chan who was following him silently up to the living room.

"Not yet master". He answered quickly. "Would you like to have dinner now, master?".

"I'm not yet hungry". Jack walk straight to his room with a heavy steps. He was expecting his little wife to be at home waiting for him but he was disappointed.

Butler Chan just looked at Jack taking a heavy stride to the east wing of the mansion where his room is located. He just shook his head seeing his master very disappointed. He was very happy this morning something they've never seen before but tonight he can see the old Jack came back. Unhappy.

Jack tried to sleep but his consciousness keep him awake. Azalea's not home yet. He wants to call her but he doesn't have her phone number. 'This is a funny situation' he thought. He rose from his bed and went to his study room. He'd rather work than pretend to sleep, he don't want to fool himself.

3 am....

A Camaro parked in front of Jack's mansion and stayed there for a while. No one is coming down from the car.

"What the hell am I doing here?". Azalea is in confused state right now she is being skeptical about her decision of coming home at this hour. It's almost morning. She knows everyone in Jack's mansion are already asleep.

"Coming home". A word she keeps repeating to herself. She wants to laugh at the word, she never knew what that means. For her there's no home after her mother died probably only a so called house to stay and sleep. She began to feel heavy inside her chest and she feels like to crying. Remembering her past and her mom it always makes her eyes wet.

Azalea closed her eyes and lean on her seat. She's tired but she don't want to disturb the people inside the mansion. She'd rather sleep here until morning comes.

A knock on the window suddenly wakes her up. She glide the glass window down and Jack's face surprised her.

"How long are you going to sit there or are you really going to sleep in your car?". His brows are knitted in one line and his arms are in his chest.

He supposed to walk back to his room when he saw a Camaro parked in front of his house. He knows it's Azalea's car because Corbin told him.

Azalea smiled showing all her teeth she looks like she's been caught from hiding then she wave her hand in front of him.

"Good morning!..... It's too early but your already awake. Wow!". She is teasing him to hide the awkwardness she feels inside.

"I havent slept yet... Open the door and move." He said seriously and order her to move.

She unlock her car door and move to the other seat and Jack went in to the driver's seat. He started the car and felt something different in it.

"Did you remodeled this car?". He ask her while burning the engine.

"Yes, why?". She answered honestly while wondering.

"It's too powerful." He simply said.

Azalea smiled. She didn't expect him to recognize her work in an instant and she feels like he appreciated her craft more or less.

Jack look at her and find her face shining brightly. Its like beaming with happiness. His heart almost jump out seeing her like this. His source of happiness never fails him.

"What are you smiling about." He ask her in his casual way pretending he is not affected by her.

"Nothing."

"You know you're still in trouble right." And he glance at her in his side eyes.

Azalea pouted her lips and Jack made a slight grin. He drove the car inside the mansion's garage.

"Are you hungry?". He ask her as soon as they get in.

"Not really." And she pull out a plastic bag of apples from her back. "Here for you."

"What's this?". He is only looking at it and trying so hard to show her he have no any intention of taking it.

"Apples". Azalea answered with a pleading eyes. It took her a while to find something she can give to him in case they see each other in the morning.

"Are this compensations?". He wants to tease her.

"More or less..... dont you like them?". Her face is starting to filled with sadness and she is starting to put the apples down. 'Just an apple for a king who has everything, what am I thinking'. She is scolding herself.

"Who says I don't like them, they are my favorite now". Jack grabs the plastic bag of apples from her hands and gave her a wide smile.

Azalea's eyes sparks with happiness and her face brighten as she smile. She even giggles.

This reaction of her made Jack's heart jump for joy but outside he is in his normal self.

Azalea is being happy now though Jack don't shows any emotion to her, she is still glad that he accepted her gift. She was wrecking her brain out thinking of what to give him there's no open store or boutique at this hour the only thing she saw when she went to the market are fresh apples and she immediately grab them.

'Next time it will be a better gift.' She made a mental note to herself. She almost giggle again when a thought of like courting his husband occurred to her mind.

Jack is watching his little wife grinning from ear to ear. He wonders what is she thinking. He looked at the apples that she gave him.

"You didn't poison the apples, did you?" . He starts to tease her again.

Azalea's smile fade in an instant. She was so dumbfounded. She can't believe he will think something like that over her. She only wants to give him something as a token of good gesture but he think she's that evil.

When Jack saw his little wife's fading smile he began to worried. He just wanted to tease her but he feels like he is getting overboard again. He thought he might offended her. He wants to take back what he said and smack himself.

"I was just kidding, dont be offended". He is staring at her face but it looks like the happy reaction is gone. 'Damn mouth of mine.' He is cursing himself.

"I'm going to sleep now". She feels annoyed after hearing what he said.

Jack quickly grabs her hand and drag her to the kitchen. He can feel her resistance but he is ignoring it.

"Sit". He ushered her to a chair. He was watching her expression and he can see that she's a bit angry.

Azalea just sits in the chair without a word and with a gloomy face. She can sense what Jack is doing. He washed the apples and put them in a plate and took another plate and put it in front of her. He took a knife and start to cut the apples in four and make a rabbit peel in each slice.

Azalea who is just watching began to feel amazed with the rabbit peeled apples. Her aura change again to a warm and bright one. They look very cute in her eyes.

"You can eat them now". He still peeling the other ones.

"Can I really?". She ask him like a child. Then she took one and inspect them. " Wow!". She took some more and arranged them facing each other.

"Look!.... they're like talking to each other". And she started to mimic the small voices in a cartoon show. "Oh no!.... The queen is here she's going to eat us all". Azalea grabs an apple and put it in her mouth. "Aaahhhhh, run for your life". And she holds two slice apples and mimic the jumping rabbit.

Jack can't help but laugh out loud. He never encountered such woman with a wild imagination like a child. He thought she will definitely be a good mother someday. He is starting to imagine her playing with their kids using a slice apples the he made.

Azalea saw Jack laughing. He look so handsome. Her heart is skipping a beat everytime she sees him like this. She took an apple slice and feed it to him. He didn't refused. In no time they'd finished the apples she brought.

"Are you going to work after sunrise?". Azalea's tone have a hint of worry.

"Yes, why'd you ask?". Jack feels her worries and he is very grateful. He understands where it's leading to.

"You said you haven't slept yet". She feels reluctant on asking him to sleep for a while though she knows he needed it.

"I can sleep for three more hours, why don't you do the same". He is also worried about her. He can sense that she's been awake for quite some time now.

"Okay..... good mor-night then". And a cute giggles followed.
