"Nantian, we've not seen each other for quite some time!"

The moment Gu Nantian entered, his presence attracted the attention of many.

Gu Nantian was a man who brought a spotlight wherever he went. When he appeared, it was difficult not to notice him.

The person in front who welcomed Gu Nantian was none other than the host of tonight's birthday dinner, Gu Qinghai, Gu Nantian's second uncle.

Xu Zhiyin had seen him on the news and in magazines previously.

He was friendly toward Gu Nantian. Xu Zhiyin heard from Qiao their relationship was not good and thought Gu Qinghai was not a good person but she didn't expect him to be this friendly.

The moment Gu Nantian saw Gu Qinghai, he stiffened. He had the same response as seeing Gu Xinyi.

If Xu Zhiyin had not been by his side calming him down, he would have turned hostile.

He looked at Gu Qinghai and used the tone Qiao had taught him, "Uncle, I hope you're well!"

His tone was indifferent with all the dissatisfaction he had for Gu Qinghai. Their relationship had never been good. Gu Qinghai was an outwardly friendly but inwardly cruel person while Gu Nantian had always been indifferent.

Hence, he acted to Qiao's expectation.

Gu Qinghai was magnanimous and didn't fuss about with Gu Nantian. He took the initiative to care about him, "Nantian, I heard you're sick. I've been wanting to go over to visit you but I've been busy lately. Have you recovered?"

"I'm good!" His tone remained indifferent.

Gu Nantian couldn't tell why he was uncomfortable when seeing Gu Qinghai and Gu Xinyi.

Xu Zhiyin stood next to him and could sense that he was uncomfortable.

Luckily, Gu Qinghai had not visited Gu Nantian or he would probably have ended up being chased out of the house like Gu Xinyi.

"Please have a seat over there!" Gu Qinghai saw Gu Nantian's indifference and didn't wish to put in more effort to talk to him. He called Gu Xinyi over, "Xinyi, come and talk to Nantian."

In the past, whenever Gu Nantian came over, he could never really talk to Gu Qinghai. Gu Qinghai would always pass him to Gu Xinyi as she was the only person in the house he would treat nicely.

The moment Gu Nantian heard Gu Xinyi's name, his face soured.

Gu Xinyi heard her foster father's orders and came over, "Brother Nantian."

She had drowned yesterday and was sent to the hospital. She was just discharged this morning and now, she was dressed up beautifully.

Before Gu Nantian got angry, Xu Zhiyin spoke with the intention to make the atmosphere less tense, "Miss Gu, you have just been discharged and should rest more."

Gu Xinyi looked at Xu Zhiyin. She knew it was Xu Zhiyin who had saved her yesterday. So, she was grateful to her. "Dr. Xu, thank you for rescuing me yesterday. I'm fine now."

After that, she looked at Gu Nantian in a grieved look. "Brother Nantian."

Although she was pushed into the water by Gu Nantian, she was not angry with him and still wanted to make friendly contacts with him.

Gu Xinyi's infatuation had stunned Xu Zhiyin. She moved to the side to make space for the two of them.

She was afraid her presence would disturb them. So, as long as Gu Xinyi was around, she would make opportunities for them to be together.

In the end, after Xu Zhiyin moved slightly, she saw someone in the crowd. She froze and didn't notice how dissatisfied Gu Nantian was with her little gesture.

In the eyes of Gu Nantian, Xu Zhiyin's gestures was caused by Gu Xinyi. So, despite being watched by many people, he told Gu Xinyi, "I said stay two meters away from me or I don't know what I'll do to you."

"Brother Nantian." He actually treated her in such manner in front of so many people?

Gu Xinyi's heart broke.

Everyone present was shocked at the sight of this scene.

Everyone knew Gu Nantian's only weakness was Gu Xinyi and because of this, nobody dared to mess with Gu Xinyi despite her low position in Gu Qinghai's family.

Gu Nantian had gone too far, talking to Gu Xinyi like that!

All the surprised looks focused on Gu Xinyi and Gu Nantian. Everyone wanted to know what had happened between the two of them.

"Didn't Master Gu love Gu Xinyi the most? What happened?"

Some people were discussing softly.

Gu Qinghai was calmer than anyone else. He looked at Gu Nantian and probed, "I heard Nantian had lost his memory, it looks like it's true?"

"Who says so?" Watching the old man trying to get the secret out of his mouth, Gu Nantian maintained his composure while saying, "Uncle, you must be joking. I did not lose my memory and I'm normal."

Gu Qinghai asked, puzzled, "The last time you came, you were nice to Xinyi but today, how can you bear making her feel embarrassed in front of so many people?"

Once, Gu Qinghai's son, Gu Xiao, said something hurtful to Gu Xinyi. Gu Nantian had turned against his uncle because of this.

Gu Xinyi had a good life because Gu Nantian had been protecting her.

But now…

His attitude toward Gu Xinyi had aroused people's doubts.

Gu Qinghai didn't defend Gu Xinyi because he cared about her. He was merely trying to affirm if Gu Nantian had really lost his memory.

If Gu Nantian had really lost his memory, it was a great opportunity for him.

However, if Gu Nantian was pretending to have lost his memory, this might be a trap for him.

All these years, he had suffered losses when he fought with Gu Nantian. Gu Nantian's means were impossible to ward off. 

Gu Nantian laughed. "It's my freedom to be good to anyone I choose. Moreover, I have my partner today!"

Just after saying this, Gu Nantian tugged Xu Zhiyin who was in a daze.

Xu Zhiyin regained her senses and realized she had been brought into Gu Nantian's embrace in public.

It was completely different from their plan before they came!

Xu Zhiyin wanted to stop it but it was too late.

Gu Nantian came close to her ears and his breath went into her ears, "Darling, is he so nice to watch?"

Xu Zhiyin's body shook. She didn't expect Gu Nantian to find out what she had been watching.

Ji Liunian who was not far away raised his head at that moment and saw Xu Zhiyin. He caught sight of how she was brought into the embrace of Gu Nantian. Tonight, Xu Zhiyin looked exceptionally beautiful, he could hardly recognize her.

He hadn't expected Xu Zhiyin to be with Gu Nantian…

"Gu Nantian, let go of me." Xu Zhiyin warned softly.

"No." Gu Nantian was jealous.

The moment Ji Liunian appeared, it was as though Xu Zhiyin's soul had been taken away from her and she had totally forgotten what she had to do.

She was his woman but her thoughts were on another man. How could he not lose control?

Gu Xinyi stood by one side and looked at Gu Nantian holding Xu Zhiyin in his embrace. They looked intimate when they whispered into one another's ears when talking.
