Chloe asked about the moat with a tone of curiosity in her voice, "Why wasn't a moat incorporated into the castle design? It seems like such a feature would greatly improve the security of the castle."

I took a moment to collect my thoughts before responding, "While I agree that a moat would indeed enhance the castle's security, our primary concern is not so much security as it is the ability to fight off our enemies. A moat may improve the castle's defenses, but it won't necessarily aid us in combat."

Chloe considered my words for a moment before nodding, "I see your point. But, who knows, maybe you're right. Anyway, I have to go now. See you soon." And with that, she turned and strode away, taking three of the highly trained intelligence variants with her for security.

After Chloe and the rest of the residents left the city, I retreated to my room for some much needed rest. The previous night had been plagued with fitful sleep and I wanted to make sure I was well-rested before I continued my work. Just as I was drifting off to sleep, there was a knock at my door. It was one of the intelligence variants that I had sent out to gather information about the city.

He reported back to me with urgency in his voice, "The enemy is still in the city and they have not been able to get near undetected. Our warriors are standing guard and keeping them at bay."

I thought for a moment before instructing the minion, "Go back to the city and keep me informed of any developments, particularly if the enemy decides to leave the city." The minion nodded before turning on his heel and swiftly departing my room.

With a heavy sigh, I pushed myself out of bed and made my way outside. The wall surrounding the city was now complete and the door was securely in place. The iron door was significantly thicker than the one in my own city and had sturdy supports that could be locked into the ground for added stability. Iron rods could also be locked into the large stones on the ground, providing additional support in the event of an enemy attack. I stood there for a moment, surveying the scene with a sense of pride and satisfaction before heading back inside to continue my work.

As I emerged from the inner wall, my gaze was immediately drawn to the massive door in front of me. I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride as I admired my handiwork. The door was solid and imposing, a true testament to its strength and durability. To my left, I saw a line of 720 brute force minions, standing at attention and waiting for my next command. Alongside them stood 500 fierce archers and warriors, each one ready to defend and protect.

I quickly put my army into action, assigning 500 warrior minions to undergo brute force training and sending 400 brute force minions to the second stage of training. These second stage minions were even more formidable than the enemy soldiers, and I felt confident that they would be instrumental in securing victory on the battlefield.

The training took a grueling 12 hours, and it took an additional three hours to complete the program. As I waited for the second stage minions to become available, I sat on a wooden log, surrounded by my army. It was then that I realized I had made a critical mistake. I had forgotten to send resource collector minions with the residents in the city. Without them, the residents wouldn't have access to the resources they needed to make weapons.

Acting quickly, I opened the advanced control menu and ordered 100 woodcutter minions and 100 miner minions to be sent to the city. I also had a number of hunter and farming minions, so I dispatched them as well. After some time, the minions appeared before me, and I opened the advanced menu once again to assess the minions at my disposal and send some of them to the city.

As I looked over my army, I felt a sense of satisfaction and pride. With such a strong and capable force at my disposal, I was confident that we would be able to overcome any challenge that lay ahead.

The 100 minions I lost yesterday were now visible in the advanced menu. They had been subtracted from the total number of minions. It was not a time to be sad. I remembered my task and focused on that. I sent all 160 farming minions, 24 hunting minions, 100 miners, and 100 woodcutters to the city. I sent an intelligence variant to guide them. Intelligence variants are always updated with maps and they know every place and corner of the world.

I was just about to relax after arranging everything when an intelligence variant came and told me that the enemy was moving towards one of my settlements. I was puzzled as to why the enemy was going to a settlement, because one of them has an information system that can find out where I am hiding.

I asked about the settlement and the intelligence variant told me. It was a nearby settlement and the enemy army had time to reach it. I chose 100 brute force minions, 20 second-stage brute force minions, and 100 archers to go to the settlement. I sent a few intelligence variants with this small army to observe the battle. I wanted to know more about the enemy, even if it meant sacrificing a few of my precious minions.
