Chapter 60: The Little Universe Exploded

Lin Yunzhi immediately said, “If you want, I can go with you!”

This fierce and determined aura didn’t seem good!

Gu Xi was also fuming, and without hesitation, she replied, “There’s no need!”

With that, she walked into the elevator.

“Are you sure…” Lin Yunzhi stared at the closing elevator doors. She muttered, “Will there be anything left after Pei Qian is done?”

But of course, Gu Xi couldn’t hear that.

She drove directly to the Empire Corporation, but the secretary regretfully informed her that Pei Qian wasn’t there!

The secretary was also curious, weren’t these two close enough to… share a room?

Under the sunlight, Pei Qian’s smile was stunning. Especially now that the slowly setting sun rays highlighted his features and made them look more defined!

In her anger, she took off her shoes and carried them but then tragedy struck!

She got up, shrugging off the embarrassment altogether. She then grabbed the garden hose afterwards and aimed it at Pei Qian…

Pei Qian’s expression changed, instinctively lifting his arms to shield himself, but the jet of water still streaked towards him.

Pei Qian looked pitiful while being drenched from head to toe!

Gu Xi got her revenge and was incredibly satisfied. She continued to turn the water pressure up.

In her vengeance, she thought, ‘I’m gonna blast this bastard away!’

Pei Qian squinted because of the water that was splashing against his face. But through the gaps of his eyes, he could still see her excited face!

He stopped shielding himself and instead walked towards her, letting the water hit him freely.

Gu Xi started to get anxious and her arms trembled. She was in the middle of deciding whether she should run away or continue fighting with him.

Before she came to a decision, he had already arrived in front of her. After he had yanked the hose away and threw it aside, he hooked his arm around her waist and pulled her towards him.

His shirt was drenched with water and upon close proximity, Gu Xi could feel his body heat… and she had a hard time responding.

“Are you trying to show off how ridiculous you are?” His voice had echoed right next to her right before he kissed her…

He kissed her firmly!

Under the sunset, the two seemed like they were covered in a layer of gold…

Gu Xi struggled and hit him. “Didn’t you say someone was watching?” She gasped without a hint of elegance.

Pei Qian stared at her intensely and there was a slight tension in his voice. “Then let them watch!”

With that, he thoroughly kissed her again!

Her body felt weak, and if she wasn’t clinging on to him, she would’ve collapsed…

The next time she blinked her eyes, she was already in his bathroom!

Pei Qian took his own clothes and went into another room…

Gu Xi smacked her own head. She was bewildered. Settling scores was her main reason for coming, so how in the world did they end up kissing?

Right, she still had to settle scores!

The moment he comes out, she would talk things out with him and reason that for her suffering, she had to take a few days off!

Gu Xi cheered herself on, not realizing how ridiculous she looked. Meanwhile, the man standing by the doorway saw all her actions.

She looked at herself in the mirror. Her lips were red and a little swollen!

She touched her lips and suddenly felt upset. Would it get better if she splashed some cold water on it?

“Are you trying to remember how it felt like?” A voice sounded from the doorway. “If you want, I can satisfy you again!”

Gu Xi screamed, “Why are you in here?!” She covered up her chest. “Get out… get out!”

She only had a towel around her!

Pei Qian didn’t leave and instead leaned on the door frame. He said with great interest, “It’s not like I haven’t seen it before. I’ve enjoyed the way you look without clothes several times already!”

Gu Xi’s face turned red.

Pei Qian had looked at her for a moment before he finally left.

Gu Xi scrambled to put on her clothes, which he had already prepared for her.

Leaving the room, she prepared herself and lifted her chin high. After she had taken several magazines and newspapers from her bag, she threw it down in front of him. “Care to explain?”

Her tone made Pei Qian look up at her. He then brushed his long fingers over the pile of magazines. “The writing is not bad! Gu Xi, do you still want me to explain as to how you ended up in my arms? Or tell you how much I love you?”

With his shameless and powerful counterattack, Gu Xi’s face reddened. She glared at him as she said, “That’s not the point, okay?”

“Not the point?” He smiled again. “Then… you want me to take responsibility?”

Gu Xi was stunned for a moment, but she bluntly continued, “You provided these photos, didn’t you? In City H, no one would dare to publish these, let alone write these articles without permission!”

Pei Qian took out a packet of cigarettes and lit one. Lighting it, he glanced at her. “Gu Xi, you really do have a high opinion of me!”

“Aren’t you going to explain yourself?” Gu Xi tried to ignore the shock she felt.
