Pei Qian probably did not even take notice of his own expression…

What a rare sight!

When Gu Xi left, she purposely took the safety lift to the car park in an attempt to avoid Pei Qian.

After she had entered the car, she tried calming herself for a bit and then drove the car out of the park.

Little did she know, a black SUV was following closely behind her after she drove off.

When Gu Xi reached the villa at the Yunan South Road, Pei Qian was already home.

In the luxurious living room, his coat was casually strewn on the sofa with his working bag beside it. It seemed that he had just come home, too!

His necktie was casually loosened, while the first two buttons of his polo shirt were unbuttoned, exposing his light brown skin tone that made him look very striking and toned.

He had also removed his cufflinks and rolled it up to his elbow… and it gave off a casual look.

He was reading a business magazine at the moment. Upon hearing Gu Xi's footsteps, he raised his eyes to glance at her once and then looked down after to read his magazine. With an indifferent tone of voice, he said, "Put down your stuff and change into something comfortable. We will start dinner in ten minutes."

After seeing his expression, Gu Xi was a bit bewildered and thought that her eyes were playing tricks on her.

It seemed as though they had been together for a very long time… It was as if she was his wife who had just come home from work.

Erasing that thought from her head, she placed her bag down, but she did not change her clothes… After all, this was not her house and she did not have any clothes to change into anyway. And besides, she was opposed to the idea of leaving traces that she once dwelled in this house.

She sat on the seat opposite him and kept quiet.

Pei Qian continued reading his magazine for a while before raising his head to look at her. His expression softened upon the sight of her. "How's your day?"

She did not know why, but the peaceful expression he had got on her nerves.

In all honesty, her day did not start off well, and he was the reason her day felt like a bum.

And yet, he still had the cheek to ask her about her day? Feeling a little angry, Gu Xi replied without a single hesitation, "Very good!"

Pei Qian gave a light chuckle. Of course, she felt good, for she showed off her great prowess today!

However, he could tell that she was a little annoyed with him.

Although he was aware she had a bad temper, Pei Qian felt sour that she channeled her anger at him.

Regardless of what happened today, he still did her a favor!

Not only did she not thank him, she even pulled a face at him.

As such, Pei Qian's mood took a turn for the worst. When they were about to have their dinner, he slammed the magazine onto the table and in a tone that was no longer gentle, he said, "Let's eat dinner now!"

He walked to the dining table first while Gu Xi hesitated for a while before she succumbed and followed him.

Even an idiot could sense he was angry…

As a form of revenge, Gu Xi secretly made a face behind him…

Much to her demise, Pei Qian suddenly turned around and looked at her with sparkling eyes.

His sudden action took Gu Xi aback, and she immediately changed her expression into a cool one.

"Sit down and eat," said Pei Qian with his face void of expression. But the moment she lowered her head, he secretly smiled.

It was not until she sat down that she realized they were having Chinese food. There was steamed mandarin fish, stewed chicken with ginger and wine in a casserole, two other dishes, and soup!

The maid named Ah Xiang carefully filled their bowls with rice before taking her leave.

Gu Xi pursed her lips, and upon seeing the scrumptious dishes in front of her, she suddenly felt a little hungry.

Pei Qian took his chopsticks and faintly said, "Dig in."

Gu Xi did not think he would really ask her to come over to eat dinner with him. He thought he would just directly… ask her to do it with him.

While she was eating, she sneaked a few peeks at him.

He suddenly reprimanded in an indifferent tone of voice. "Stop looking around when you are eating."

Gu Xi immediately lowered her head and focused on her meal.

Pei Qian, on the other hand, raised his head to look at her. She almost buried her head in her bowl and at the sight of it, Pei Qian smiled.

Since Gu Xi was a little hungry, she could have quickly finished her meal; however, she slowed down upon seeing Pei Qian's still full bowl…

She was afraid he would ask her to take a 'bath' first!

Hence, they finished their meal together.

When Pei Qian went up the stairs, he suddenly stopped in his tracks and looked at the scenery outside. After a while, he said in a gentle tone of voice, "Come up with me."

Gu Xi was stumped.

So, he was waiting for her.

Even if she was unwilling, she still had to go up the stairs… Much to her surprise, he did not ask her to lie down or take a bath upon arriving upstairs. Instead, he brought her to his study room and pointed at the sofa. "Find some books to read and I do not allow you to use your phone!"

Was she a kid or what?

Gu Xi stood there for a while and watched him sit behind his computer. It seemed that he had to settle some work matters.

He did not ask her to come all the way here just to discuss work with him, right?

Gu Xi heaved a sigh of relief. However, she became suspicious of him again.

'Does Pei Qian have some sort of weird illness?'

However, she quickly debunked that guess…

When she slept with him for the first time, there was even blood on the bed sheet. Moreover, whenever he hugged her, it would always spark a reaction.

"Why is your face so red? Is it very hot?" He suddenly raised his head and looked at her.

Gu Xi jumped in fright, and she felt a little embarrassed afterward.

She pretended to fan herself with her hand. "Yeah, it's a little hot!"

Pei Qian gave a light chuckle. "How about you take a bath first?"

Gu Xi immediately shook her head. "It's not hot anymore!"

He laughed and continued with his work.

She heaved a sigh of relief. After half an hour, she started dozing off.

After all, who would be willing to stay in his study room after a long day at work?

She shifted her position on the sofa, and she heard Pei Qian's again. "If you are tired…"

"I am not tired!" Gu Xi doubted her intelligence after saying that. It felt as if she was being led by the nose.

Pei Qian did not carry on the conversation and continued to work for the next three hours. When he was done, it was already ten in the evening.

He looked towards the sofa and saw Gu Xi sleeping with her head tilted to the side.

She probably slept in an uncomfortable position because her eyebrows were slightly furrowed…

Pei Qian admired her face for a while before carrying her bridal style… with his sudden movement, she jolted awake and shifted in his embrace but fell asleep once more.

He carefully placed her on the bed. Actually, it was not within his plans for her to stay the night.

However, he changed his mind and stared at her sleeping face. He reached his hand out and unbuttoned her blouse…

One button, two buttons, and he finally unbuttoned all of them…

Upon seeing her fair skin, which was as attractive as a piece of jade, he held his breath and admired her body for a while.

It was not like he had never seen beauty before, but there were really not many women who had such great skin.

Pei Qian was not that righteous of a person, so he kissed her lips while supporting her to the bed.

Gu Xi dreamily opened her eyes and immediately saw a close-up of his handsome face.

A panic glint flashed past her eyes and she instinctively tried to push him away.

However, he held her hands, rendering her unable to move, and while so, he deepened the kiss.

Gu Xi suddenly felt the surrounding air was very hot…

When her hand was finally freed from his grip, she reached out to push him away, only to touch his skin.
