15 – Action, action (4)

“What is this?”

I couldn’t believe it even after seeing the creature in front of me with my own two eyes, so I asked the injured owner next to me.

“It is a dragon. To be precise, a baby dragon.”

It was supposed to bring the dragon from the next fleet, not this one. It is a situation where even a person with a fairly high rank has already been sent to the fleet to bring the dragon. However, it was completely useless because the injured owner had already brought the dragon.

“How did you get it?”

“I brought precious flowers from our country to the emperor, and he was delighted and gave me a baby dragon. They say that there are many dragons now because it is the spawning season, but they say that it is our job to raise the adult so that it does not die.”

“Are dragons easy to die?”

“I don’t know.”

I was taken aback by the words of Sangdanju, which was so different from the image of a normal dragon.

“By the way, didn’t you run into our fleet on the way? There is a law that we met due to timing.”

There is an anchorage that we must stop at all times in order for our fleet to come and go to the east. Thinking that due to the timing, this fleet and the fleet that departed a while ago might have met, I asked the floating group owner.

“No. Listening to the natives at the marina, it seemed that they were vaguely sidestepped. They say we left for the east two days before we arrived there.”

I sighed inwardly. If he had known that the injured Danju would come with the dragon, he would never have sent a person in charge of the fleet.

“Apira was riding on that fleet. I negotiated with the emperor and sent him to fetch the dragon… But in vain. You just wasted manpower.”

The injured Danju nodded as if he agreed, then raised his head and asked me a question.

“By the way, what are you going to use this dragon for? Isn’t it ambiguous right now to give thanks to the imperial family?”

“I promised the 4th princess to present the dragon to her mother, Empress Choi.”

Come to think of it, she heard that the 4 princesses are departing from the capital today. Then, should I personally give this dragon to her mother, Empress Choi?

Empress Choi is a person wrapped in a veil even in the imperial family. She has no idea what the hell she’s doing when the Emperor sits next to her and doesn’t let her out. However, since she was the first woman the emperor fell in love with, having rejected all the most beautiful women in the empire, it is possible to assume that she has considerable charm.

Seeing that her daughter, the 4th Princess, is also a mysterious black-haired beauty, one can assume that her mother also has an outstanding appearance. That’s why the emperor fell for it and still can’t get out of it.

“Then where should I put him? I’m honestly worried that I might die while raising it. It would be difficult if the items to be presented to the royal family were damaged.”

“That’s why I need to tell the truth right away.”

If they die while growing, only our situation will be difficult. It’s not a bad idea to deal with that as quickly as possible. After presenting the truth to Empress Choi, our responsibility is no different from the end.

“Since the Empress is from the East, wouldn’t you take care of raising her well?”

I agreed to a certain extent with the carefree words of the wounded master.

“She must have asked to save her because she can be raised well.”

In order to present the truth tomorrow, you must submit an audience request to the imperial palace today. Since she is Empress Choi, who cannot be met unless there is a special reason, her application process will not be that simple.

“For now, I think I’ve seen everything I want to see, so I’ll go.”

“Yes, goodbye.”

I got out of the basement safe while being greeted by the injured. Coincidentally today, our headquarters on the ground here will be displaying the newly brought items.

I have never been to the east myself, so looking at the newly brought items every time is one of my own fun that comes only once per season.

That’s why I decided not to go straight to the imperial palace, but to take a look at the newly imported items. If you cover your face with a black cloak, not many people will recognize you.

“Jack, let’s go. For now, guide me through the new arrivals.”

I asked the servant who accompanied me.

“Yes, I understand.”

As soon as I got to the ground, I naturally started walking around the store.

“You can come this way.”

The place where Jack led me was a place full of flowers.

“Flowers?”

“Yes. This time, the injured danju brought a lot of strange things.”

I got a little flustered. How amazing would it be if the flower looked amazing? As I was following Jack to the new flower, I heard someone calling my name.

“Cesar? That’s right?”

* * *

Seria put her heart on the line and spoke to her man wearing her cloak.

Her man heard her own words, paused, and then took off her cloak, which was covering more than half of her face. Then Seria felt delighted that her own prediction had been correct.

“Seria. Are we even going to say hello to each other when we met on the street?”

Seria was slightly hurt by Cesar’s words. Even if she broke off her engagement, wouldn’t she say hello in the name of childhood friend?

“Uh. It’s time to say goodbye.”

Seria said to Cesar with a resolute expression on her face as she suffered a wound in her heart. Then Cesar’s expression began to grow strange.

“Well, I don’t think so.”

After her words, César turned away from her Seria and tried to head towards her and the other side of her. But Seria caught him like that.

“Cesar, where are you going?”

“Since you greeted me the way you wanted, I’m going to do my business.”

Meanwhile, César checked the time on his wristwatch. I don’t know what it was, but judging from Cesar’s attitude, it wouldn’t be that urgent. It seemed that there was no room for Seria in Cesar’s mind to the extent that he was pushed to such a task.

Ceria turned back and she did not catch Cesar. She didn’t exactly catch on. Her hands were shaking and her face was stained with shame.

Seria herself thinks that she is not the kind of person to be treated like this on the street. If her other person had ignored her like this, she would never have stood still.

But even Seria was aware of the fact that she had hurt Cesar to some extent, so she was able to put up with this level of coldness.

Seria recalled that she had been thinking about what she would do if her marriage broke up.

It was a plan based on the premise that César would kneel in front of him and beg him to re-engage after pressuring the writer after her clarification. But now the situation is completely opposite.

Rather, she seemed to be holding Cesar herself.

Seria also hated herself like that. Why do I keep thinking of Cesar’s face?

Perhaps it was because they had been together for so many years, Seria thought to herself.

She thinks the complicated feelings she feels for César will soon fade away.

But it remains to be seen whether she will get what she thinks.

“Cesar! Come to work, come to work!”

“Lea… I don’t think I should go there.”

Then the little girl, called Lia, puffed out her cheeks cutely and started whining at her.

“Cesar always says it’s dangerous or no. Too bad.”

At the girl’s words, the boy replied with a small smile.

“But she hates Leah getting hurt the most? Even if she plays, playing safely is her first priority.”

“She could have just said it in front of me… But why did she nag for no reason?”

The boy put his hand on her girl’s head as the girl continued to complain about her.

“Because I will get married later. She should let Leah do her right thing.”

The girl’s face turned red at the boy’s words. She seemed ashamed to understand the meaning of the word marriage at a young age.

“Marriage…”

And just as the boy was about to open her mouth, everything around her went dark.

“Haa…”

Another dream related to Cesar. Clearly, Seria herself does not remember well, but her memories with him are clearly reflected in her dreams.

And next to Cesar was always Seria, whose eyes were shining brightly different from her now.

“Annoying.”

Seria muttered. Lately her dreams have been covered with Cesar. It was unpleasant, so she deliberately fell asleep and took her sleeping pills to keep her from dreaming, but nothing changed for her.

Seria turned on her lights and picked up her hand mirror that she had placed next to her blanket. As expected, because she hadn’t slept properly recently, Seria herself, who looked tired to anyone, was reflected.

This is all because of Cesar. She thought that Cesar kept appearing in her dreams simply because he neglected her.

But one side of her chest was a little sore. It was a small trembling that was difficult for Seria to notice.
