The young monk Huixin thought he misheard.

100 little gremlins!

Was he that generous?

He could not help but really think about it.

Young monk Huixin was a Chief Officer created by the Game Creator Endless. To his knowledge, the players were all just starting off and the Chaotic Cities’ development would be in their very early phases. Even if they managed to draw in vagabonds, there should not be so many.

So what was it about this ‘Great King’ that was different?

He had easily breached into others’ Chaotic City and even had that many little gremlins on hand.

“If I could really be given 100 little gremlins…”

Young monk Huixin suddenly felt that it was not all bad. It was clear that the development rate of the previous Chaotic City was extremely slow and the City Lord was cutthroat by nature. Perhaps with this City Lord, the future would be better.

At least this City Lord was very generous.

“Are 100 little gremlins not enough?” Li Hanqiang could not possibly fathom the thought process of the Chief Officer. He was anticipating the construction of the City Defense Center and spoke to young monk Huixin apologetically, “That’s all I can pull out for now. Little Monk, right now there is much to do in the Chaotic City and development cannot be delayed. Go on and get to work.”

Li Hanqiang spoke to the mob of little gremlins around him, “Boys, make way!”

“Yes, your Majesty!”

The mob of little gremlins immediately began to move and even the Little Drill Gremlin appeared. They formed up in front of Li Hanqiang and young monk Huixin as they led them down Gremlin’s Mountain.

It was only now that young monk Huixin began to assess his surroundings. After doing so, he immediately exclaimed, “This place is truly a paradise!”

Li Hanqiang grew curious upon hearing this and asked hurriedly, “Little Monk, what do you know about paradise?”

Young monk Huixin shook his head and said, “I only know that it is very difficult to obtain it. Only the luckiest can obtain a piece of land like this. If it is well managed, the potential of the Chaotic City will be limitless!”

His heart was on fire. The Chaotic City he belonged to had a piece of paradise. It seemed that his defection was truly a wise choice. He decided that as a Chief Officer, he would have to properly develop this piece of Paradise and accomplish great things.

Li Hanqiang felt slightly disappointed. It seemed that even if he had a Chief Officer, he would still have to find out some things for himself.

Not long after, Li Hanqiang and company arrived at the city square of the Chaotic City.

Young monk Huixin then realized that his Chaotic City even had a Blue Ripple Pond and he could not help but exclaim once more, “Famous Landmark! There is even a Famous Landmark!”

Li Hanqiang glanced at him and asked, “You also know about Famous Landmarks! Say something useful!”

Huixin replied, “Famous Landmarks are not as rare as paradise, but they are also useful. If managed well, they can bring great rewards!”

“What else?” Li Hanqiang asked.

Huixin’s eyes flashed as he spoke, “Everything requires you to find out for yourself. Being your Chief Officer, I will do my best to develop the Blue Ripple Pond and Cave Dwelling in Gremlin’s Mountain.”

Li Hanqiang nodded then checked young monk Huixin’s stats. This made him pause.

Young monk Huixin’s loyalty score had reached 50!

Just by walking from the Cave Dwelling in Gremlin’s Mountain to this point with nothing actually being done, the loyalty score had grown by this much.

“Could it be due to my good looks?” Li Hanqiang allowed himself to be narcissistic for a moment. Of course, he was aware that there was no correlation with his looks. It must have been due to the Cave Dwelling in Gremlin’s Mountain and the Blue Ripple Pond which made the young monk’s loyalty score grow that fast.

The City Defense Center needed to be built behind the Chaos’ Core and in front of the Limitless Tower. Young monk Huixin began to draw up summoning runes with eagerness. The mob of little gremlins surprisingly also began to do the same.

Li Hanquang received a system notification that informed him the summoning of the City Defense Center would require three hours.

Taking advantage of this free time, Li Hanqiang casually logged off to rest a bit before logging back on to start another Gold Coin Challenge.

During this Gold Coin Challenge, Li Hanqiang did not rely on the automatic attacks of the Defensive Towers as before. Instead, he tried to control the Defensive Towers manually to try and use their firepower to a greater effect.

When there were many Defensive Towers, it was not easy to control them. If one wanted to raise their kill efficiency, not only did they need to master the battlefield’s pattern correctly, they also needed to be able to multitask and make snap decisions.

Controlling towers was by no means an easy feat and one would be better off letting the Defensive Towers do their own thing if they were inept at controlling these towers. Wild controlling would definitely not raise their kill efficiency and instead do just the opposite.

Li Hanquang was still trying and learning as he placed his main focus on his five Sword Towers. He learnt how to control the Sword Qi to descend on the right targets to ensure that they would penetrate through and strike even more targets.

After a hectic round of controlling, the challenge finally ended. Li Hanqiang did not know if his intervention raised the kill efficiency of the Defensive Towers. At the end of the challenge, he had killed 1,558 Golden Cavalry and received 107 gold and 90 silver. Li Hanqiang’s ranking in the Gold Coin Challenge rose to second place.

At that moment, a system notification chimed.

Li Hanqiang would not waive the Gold Coin Challenge because initiating the Gold Coin Challenge allowed his Beast Hunter to gain experience.

His Beast Hunter was now at Level 8 and its experience was 215/800. It had a damage per second of up to 120 and according to past experiences, it just needed to defeat another 2,485 monsters to be raised from a Level 1 Tower to a Level 2 Tower. This would naturally increase its abilities.

The Golden Cavalry could give the Beast Hunter experience and Li Hanqiang was not about to waste the opportunity.

Li Hanqiang summoned a few little gremlins and ordered them to repair the Defensive Towers. Unfortunately, they did not know how to do so.

This confirmed to Li Hanqiang that repairs on Defensive Towers required a special repair tool, a specialist worker, or perhaps the unlocking of a technology.

A little while later, young monk Huixin reported that he had finished his task. Following a bright flash of light, a large palace began to slowly appear from the summoning circle. This was the City Defense Center.
