My Chaotic City

The instant Fanning Knight spoke up and faced the judgmental, unkind expressions of the public, he was shamelessly calm.

"If I may ask, who exactly might you be…" Tianhe Emperor asked while extending a hand to Fanning Knight. 

"I am the guild master of the Emperor's Rich Guild, Zhen Deqiang!" Fanning Knight spoke confidently through his lies while pointing at Fiery Blade Sage and said, "He is the assistant guild master, Zhen Dejun!"

"Emperor's Rich Guild?"

"What kind of low tier guild is this? Never heard of it."

"Sounds like a second-rate guild to me."

"A second-rate low tier guild who dares challenge our guild master for the Young Black Thorned Turtle? How arrogantly boastful!"

"From how I see it, this man seemed like a nobody. He is trying to inflate the price, probably…"

The Tianhe Guild members were having a wild discussion. However, the guild master simply waved his hand around to stop the commotion. He had a gentle and warm smile on his face, and simply took a quick glance at Fanning Knight before shifting his gaze to Li Hanqiang and said, "50,000 in cash. An immediate transfer can be done. What do you think?"

Fanning Knight frantically interjected and said, "Cash, 80,000!"

Tianhe Emperor replied in a cold tone, "100,000 in cash"

Fanning Knight did not seem to slow down and simply replied with a smile, "Hahah, 200,000 in cash!"

"It seems our friend here desperately wants this seat." Tianhe Emperor had a soft chuckle then said, "If that's the case, we'll let our friend have it then!"

Fanning Knight was stunned and simply said, "Huh? Let me have it? Aren't you going to think it over?"

Fiery Balde Sage who was standing next to him chortled. However, he held his laughter back. He simply said to Tianhe Emperor, "You both really know your stuff! Competing with our Rich Emperor's Guild will never end well. You guys are alright, come by Tianfeng City for a visit someday soon!"

Li Hanqiang was tempted to kick these two so hard that they would start flying. He wanted them to inflate the price. However, who knew these two were horrible actors and it seemed their facade had been seen through with a simple glance.

This auction would be wasted.

Li Hanqiang was quick thinking and simply said, "I have to be honest with you, I am not short on funds and have no intentions in receiving cash. I've put this Young Black Thorned Turtle up for auction to gather funds for some items. So I am terribly sorry, the price that you both had offered earlier is null."

"Oh, you don't accept cash, then you shouldn't have this auction since the gold coins I have on me are very limited. I only have 100 gold coins with me!" Fanning Knight proceeded to reply.

Tianhe Emperor smiled while shaking his head. He said, "Alright, let's not waste any more time. 100 gold coins with some items."

While he spoke, he took out a blueprint.

This blueprint was taken from the copy of Hunter's Camp. It was found from a chest and was an item used by the Chaotic City Lord. It seemed Tianhe Emperor was a little puzzled by how exactly he should take care of this item, however it now seemed he was given the best chance to do so.

[Huntsman's Trap Blueprint: A unique item, only usable by the Chaotic City Lord. Upon using said item, the user would be able to attach a Defensive Tower in the Corridor of War with a permanent Huntsman. (Special Level 1 Defense Tower). "It's actually a specialist item for the Chaotic City Lord!" Li Hanqiang was ecstatic and judging from the item's description text, this Huntsman was not any fancy high tier item but was still an interesting item nonetheless. It was surprisingly considered a Level 1 Defensive Tower. If he was given the blueprint and 100 gold, Li Hanqiang would be more than willing to exchange those items for the Young Black Thorned Turtle since he had fished for it through idle fishing.

It seemed Fanning Knight had learned his lesson and was not speaking out of turn.

After that, Li Hanqiang had a successful trade with Tianhe Emperor and both parties seemed to be satisfied.

After the trade, Tianhe Emperor had left with his members. After that, Big Trader approached Li Hanqiang to ask for his commission.

After some thought, Li Hanqiang felt Big Trader was quite witty and he was feeling quite generous, so he gave him 5 gold coins.

Big Trader seemed satisfied, and he rushed to the Chaotic Stone Slab to continue his potion trading.

Both Fanning Knight and Fiery Blade Sage wanted to get something from Li Hanqiang since they were owed a favor. Although it was done horribly and they had almost ruined it, both of them were still shameless and so they asked shamelessly.

It was only natural for Li Hanqiang to not give them gold coins. He cracked a smile and questioned them suddenly, "Are you both interested in knowing where exactly did I get this Young Black Thorned Turtle?"

"Where?"

"Hmm? From the way you're saying this, it sounds like you can do it again?"

"Hahah!" Li Hanqiang replied with a huge thumbs up. He added, "Don't you dare call me disloyal in any way. Come now. I shall bring you guys over to witness the Blue Ripple Pond. This is a pilgrimage site for idling. I've fished the Young Black Thorned Turtle from it. As long as you guys are lucky, you guys could also fish one out yourselves…"

Li Hanqiang had made an effort to showcase the Blue Ripple Pond to them and at the same time, get them hooked on his next scheme. Upon witnessing their surprised look, Li Hanqiang said, "Idling? A single try costs 1 gold coin and there is no time limit to it. Try your luck to fish for the Young Black Thorned Turtle, or perhaps something better! Even if you are unable to fish for it, the other trash you might pull is not bad as well. I will never allow any regular people to fish here, you know."

Since both of them were quite naive, they were instantly tricked as they were also in a desperate situation. Hence without hesitation, they began fishing. After a brief moment, both of them had logged off and had left their profiles fishing in the pond.

With this, Li Hanqiang was quite satisfied with the outcome and proceeded to the Corridor of War to attach the Huntsman's Trap to the Fire Tower. 

The trap was as huge as a table and its bite was tight. It looked terrifying.

Hence, Li Hanqiang thought about the scene where this beast was being clawed and grappled by the trap. It made him excited.

After a brief moment, close to one in the morning, a sound echoed in Li Hanqiang's ear. It was a notification from the system. 

[Congratulations, the Defensive Tower Shop, Chaotic Treasury, and Limitless Tower have appeared in your Chaotic City!] 

In that instant, the ground of the entire city began shaking briefly. On both sides of the Chaotic Heart, slate pathways appeared. They expanded outward by fifty meters, then two buildings manifested out of nowhere on both sides.

The building on the left resembled a Greek temple. It was surrounded by stone columns. That was the Defensive Tower Shop.

The building on the right looked odd. From the looks of it, it resembled a huge treasure chest. It was without question, the Chaotic Treasury.

In addition to that, at the back of the Chaos' Core, the ground had grown fifty meters wider. A tower resembling a hand with seven jewels was erected. That was the Limitless Tower.

Li Hanqiang grew ecstatic upon staring at the now upgraded Chaotic City.

Back then, it was in such a sad and pitiful state. After walking through the Corridor of War would be the Chaos' Core itself, and just by a couple more steps, he would reach the end of it. However, upon looking at its current state, the Chaos' Core looked like the very center of the entire complex. There were people dancing in front of the newly opened shops, instantly lighting up the mood.

"Not bad, not bad at all!" Li Hanqiang nodded as he focused on the Defensive Tower Shop. After doing so, he rushed toward it just for a look.
